Re: ~*~*~ Chronicles of the Rift ( Sign Up ) ~*~*~
Name:Moswen and Naliah
Gender: Female
Race: Half Breed (Naliah used to be human)
Age: Appear to be mid to late twenties.
Bodily Appearance: Here we go! I did this quick sketch to give yah an idea of what they look like. ;3 The violet eye on the right is Naliah's original eye color and the one on the left is Moswen's. So now they have twin-toned colored eyes!
Clothing Appearance: TBA
Weapon: Moswen doesn't use weapons, she herself is skilled in hand-to-hand martial arts. Naliah is quite useless and thus her weapon would be anything that she might use to defend herself... if she could.
Summon N/A
Magic: Moswen's magic is lamely called, "Balance Magic." Using her own body as a template, she can alter the balance of things at the cost of her own physical body. The "cost" varies, depending upon what she's doing. For example, if someone is injured she can't heal the wound, but she can alter the balance of the injured person's body so that their own body heals faster than it should. The cost of this would be perhaps that Moswen's body heals slower or is self destructive and creates a wound. Her magic is extremely tricky in definition and use, and the result of her using her magic in the same situation twice will never be the same. Naliah can speak with the deceased, although no one believes her and at times she doesn't believe herself. She essentially can "see" dead people, and this is just an ability she was born with and thus isn't magical. She does have magic however, although this "magic" was the reason she had a rather bad history. She can essentially access the realm of undead... although she doesn't know how to use this ability and doesn't understand what it is she's doing at the start of the rPG.
Personality: Moswen is very factual and perhaps could be said to be a pessimist. She doesn't tolerate stupidity and her sharp tongue will be the first to attack anyone who does something to offend her to put her life at risk (or the lives of others). She does care about those she deems her comrades deeply, and because of this she can be passionately loyal which also leads her to be passionately angry if someone were to risk the lives of said comrades. She's one to hide her true emotions though, behind her confident exterior (although she is pretty confident about herself). Moswen believes humans are blood thirsty and hateful... until the "Naliah" incident occured. Now she thinks half of them are stupid as well. Naliah is what most would deem, "crazy". She talks about things that often times, no one else understands and claims to hear or see things that no one else can. She's a very happy person and it takes a great deal of cruelty to make her sad, although often times she feels rather alone but figures that sort of "pain" has to be what most people feel. She doesn't think before she acts so she's often plunging off into a random adventure and threatening her own life with her thoughtless actions. She's also very gullible, very curious and very energetic. Naliah finds half breeds to be fascinating and has no ill will towards them.
History Moswen had a difficult life from the get-go. She grew up rather normally, her parents being hardworking merchants who traveled about their kingdom selling goods. Her mother was wonderful in the art of sewing and made many elaborate designs while her father was more of a handy creature in wood working. One day however, they journeyed on a route that was more southern than normal, and were ambushed. Apparently a group of human slave traders were trying to start a new market, and Moswen's family fell victim. Wanting to be secretive and quiet about it, the humans only took a handful of Half Breeds and sailed back to the human kingdom. Moswen was about 13 at the time and was sold away- separated by her parents. She was in fact, sold to the royal family and was put away to be trained. The "training" was secretive and she was visited by the Emperor once, so that he could make sure things were going along as planned.
They made one mistake however, and that was assuming that Moswen had given in. After two years of training, it was nearing time when Moswen would reach the human's definition of "adult" age. She was going to be transferred to another place, under the Emperor's commands but during this transfer Moswen escaped. Having slowly begun to understand her powers, Moswen dashed into the night and managed to stow away on a merchant ship.
Moswen returned to her home continent but vowed to try to return again one day to find out what happened to her parents and to take revenge on the Emperor. This led to her researching a great deal to find out about her powers, and she heard a rumor of a creature in a cave that held the key to magnifying one's power. Hearing this... Moswen journeyed off to the cave ... ***
Naliah, on the other hand, grew up on the human continent, being that she was human. However, Naliah grew up in a very small, very tight-knit village that was bent on superstitions and traditions. So when Naliah was a child and started singing very strange songs about spirits and dead people, the village sent her away to the "wicked" forest- where some old hag lady lived. The old hag raised Naliah, being actually very nice old woman who knew a great deal about the world (but she also thought Naliah was crazy for claiming to see ghosts and singing strange songs). Eventually when Naliah came of age, Naliah decided to travel the world.
So Naliah traveled to the Half breed continent- a very long, very harsh voyage. Naliah soon found that she was unwelcomed in the Half Breed villages, but in secret Naliah did research until finally she found a book that seemed to solve her prayers. It spoke of a creature in a cave that could solve any ailment a person could have....***
*** ***
At that very long, venturing cave came both Moswen and Naliah. They met in the deep caverns (along the way they some how met up with two fellows named Aelfrik and Marius). Ironically all four of them were after the same creature, so they agreed to team up to take it down.
After a week's journey into cave (it was a very long, twisted cave), the foursome discovered the creature- a large, snarling black dragon. They attempted to attack it and seemed to have the upper edge, until suddenly the dragon spoke in some demonic-like language (Naliah claimed to know it) and a blinding flash went through the air. When they came to... Moswen and Naliah were no longer themselves... but in fact, their two souls were both forced into one body- a body that merged both Naliah and Moswen's bodies together. The two have been like that for less than a year.
Other: Naliah claims to have the spirit of a dragon in a glass jar that she keeps tied to her waist. She talks to it, sings to it and such. It "gives" her advice and suggestions too.
ANNNND my other form!
Real Name: Kalah
Gender: Female
Personality: Outwardly cheerful, confident, energetic and creative. Tends to over think things and be quite sensitive towards real-life matters and worries a lot.
~~ ~~ FORM START ~~ ~~
Name: Tristan VanBeladaire
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: Early Twenties
Appearance: BEHOLD! He looks just like that, except without the gun or the dog tags. Otherwise he deliciously looks just like that. You can't see, but he wears thickly soled black boots as well. The glove you see on his left hand is only on his left hand, while his right forearm and hand are usually always partially bandaged.
Weapon: Two short swords that are always strapped to his back in a criss-cross fashion. The sword that he uses with his left hand is like a miniature Arabian sword with a wide blade but thinly designed, making it extremely light and agile. The handle is short as well, only peaking slightly beyond his hand when he holds it and being a silver color. The sword he uses with his right hand is like a miniature broadsword and is quite heavy- the blade is strongly made of obsidian and retains the black color. The handle of the blade is also black, making the entire sword appear like one deadly black weapon. The blade's handle is long, the "mouth" of the handle where it meets the blade has twin spikes on each side, curving downward around Tristan's hand. This is to prevent any novice from using the blade, by design.
Summon His "summons" are not a typical summon and he won't know how to do this until later on. They won't be "creatures" but rather amplifying body parts (that may or may not have their own conscious). The low summon are two black arms which essentially replace or "morph" his own. These arms have wicked claws and glowing red rune markings upon them and essentially just have more muscle and a domineering aura about them. His medium summon is similar to the other one, although this time is summoned two black legs which essentially, again, replace his own legs or morph them. These legs are more muscled and the feet are clawed- almost reptilian-like and have the same glowing red run markings. His high summon ... well, you may or may not find that out.
Magic: His magic is really indirect and only excellent magic users would be able to detect Tristan's magic. In fact, Tristan himself doesn't realize he does magic really- because it is all connected to his will. Essentially his will to fight cues his magic and amplifies his sword-fighting abilities. Depending on the situation and the state of his "will" affects what support magic occurs to either his body or sometimes his sword. If his will is weak, his magic is weak... and the magic never does anything major.
~~ ~~ FORM FINISH ~~ ~~
Changed Personality: Tristan and Kalah are individual personalities, but they don't "change back and forth" really. Rather, they intermix and eventually one of the personalities will completely conquer over the other or the two will merge to create one new personality or identity- they both can't coexist. So in the beginning, there will be Kalah's initial shock and confusion but Tristan will balance it out with his eager yet confident demeanor. Tristan's own personality is about living in the moment and while he isn't rash in his actions, he definitely gets restless easily and hates staying in one location for long. He's also extremely dependable and has a good-natured humorous quality about him.
History Tristan's parents died before he could even remember them during a civil war. He swiftly was picked up by an Orphanage and stayed there until he was about thirteen. Going out on his own he found he already had enough charm and wit to get about- a skill he naturally discovered he had at the orphanage. Using his wit, he met a man at a tavern who was apparently a retired knight of the emperor. While his fame had been forgotten, the knight was allowed to retire early due to his noble services and sacrifices (he had lost an arm). Tristan struck a friendship with the old man and in exchange for doing chores and work for the man as a laborer, the old man would teach him the art of the sword.
For a few years Tristan trained hard and found he had a natural knack with the sword and his manual labor and training easily carved his body to go with that ability. Tristan learned swiftly and had a keen eye for things, and the old man was quite proud. Then it came time for them to part ways when the man had enough money where he didn't need labor anymore and of course, he had taught Tristan all he knew. So the two parted ways and Tristan soon discovered his new life: life as a bounty hunter.
Tristan was fairly successful at it- hand picking his bounties and being discrete about his identity while doing so. His work was what led him to both of his swords, the black one being an extremely rare find aboard a pirate ship. His work became fairly well known, so that his bounty name was dubbed "Shadow" for his successful yet hidden nature.
Other: *squeezes Tristan*
