Seeing no interest in any of these ice caves you ask Athene to teleport you and Yaichi back to the starting point of the Ivy Lakes area of the ASB Safari zone. With a quick flash of psychic energy you find your scenery change from an eerie ice mansion to the tranquil Ivy Lake. As you walk over to the lake you get on Athene and dive right back into the water. Swimming around you see that old school of Magikarp swimming around. Along with a Lotad skimming the surface and a Qwilfish puffing itself up trying to look scary.

You swim over to one of the Magikarp and order your pokemon to attack it Athene fires a bolt of paralysing energy which hits the Magikarp and causes it to limply float to the bottom of the lake. Following the bolt Athene let out a yawn which traveled through the water and caused the Magikarp to yawn. Yaichi uses her psychic powers to hold it down in place so it cant struggle, she continues using her powers until the Magikarp goes into a deep trance and falls asleep. With that you throw your pokeball through the water and watches as it captures the Magikarp.

With your Magikarp in hand you ask Athene to teleport you across the zone to the old village. As the tranquil serenity of the lake disappears it is replaced with a more mundane and scary scenery of a derelict city. You order Yaichi to go looking around the city for any secret entrances. Then with a freezy wisp of smoke Yaichi appears in front of you again. Apparently she has found 2 points of interest. The first is an old abandoned factory and the second is an old rustic church.

You decide to go check out the old church, as you walk through the old rustic doors you look at the multitude of old pews just abandoned and tipped over on the ground. You feel a bit somber as you walk down the aisle till you see a Tyrogue boucing around on the sides and what appears to be a nun kneeling infront of a door. As you go to talk to her she turns around and laughs before just vanishing through the door. You try to open the door yourself but it seems to be locked, the Tyrogue just laughs at your inferior strength. It looks a bit rickety but some force might open it.

Athene charges up a giant punch and rips apart the door like a cracker with absolutlely no effort at all. As you enter the newly ripped door you see a massive stair case and begin to walk down it. An Igglybuff floats over your head using the power of its body to make itself a balloon floating on the air currents.

A Koffing and Ekans slither their way to the explosion while a Magnemite floats over as well being joined by a Grimer to see what all the commotion is about.

The Area:

A tall mountain out of the main village. Expect a variety of rock, ground and fire types to be seen among the road to the summit. Can you unlock the code to get into the Archives?

The Journey:

Looks like all hell is breaking loose with the Garchomp ready for a feast while the Torterra and Sushi are on the defensive.

The Garchomp roars as pillars of sand explode around the Toretrra (-5/-2 (Trapped)) causing him to get stuck in a muk of loose sand. And with his weight he's starting to sink. Sushi lets out a long cheep to the heavens as the skies darken and chunks of ice start to pelt the area (-4, (Hail, 3 Rounds)). The Torterra shudders as the tree shakes, and spores fly into the air, spinning around the Garchomp before they sprout and wrap around her torso (-3, +2 (Leech Seed)/-4 (Leech Seed)).

Sushi starts off by unleashing a beam of super-cooled energy that connects with the Garchomp and hits her hard (-10/-15). It doesn't freeze the Dragon, and it also doesn't fully take off the vines draining her. The Garchomp snarls and zooms in fast, the edge of her wing gains a sharper image and slams it into Sushi in a flyby attack (-12/-14). The effect knocks the smaller Sushi away from the larger and more defensive Torterra. The Continent Pokémon roars at the Garchomp before thrusting himself out of the tomb and at the circling Garchomp (-15, -5 (Recoil DMG), +2 (Leech Seed)/-15, -3 (Leech Seed)) slamming into the Dragon with his massive underbelly.

Now free, the Torterra shakes his tree, causing leaves to drop before stopping and flying up and at the Garchomp (-6/-7). Snarling and wanting blood, the Dragon swoops in, teeth glowing with a darkened energy before biting down on Sushi (-7/-7). Even in the Landshark's jaws, Sushi howls in his own birdy-way, and a blast of cold snow and wind sweeps over the area (-13/-15/-1 (DMG CAP)). The blast froze and broke the vines that had wrapped around the Garchomp, freeing her from the Leech Seed attack.

And now, as the fight breaks down, the Garchomp has Sushi in her mouth, and the battle is still on,the hail hits (-4 (Hail)).

You look around the room, trying not to stir up any dust or shift the floorbeams too much. The Hat on the chair is dusty and dry-rotted, with nothing interesting around it. Feeling a bit disappointed, you move on to the policemans coat. The fabric is old and torn in places, but inside a half-ripped pocket you find a yellowed note.

Dont forget to wear your uniform this time. Last time the Forretress almost tore you a new one, you know how seriously he takes his job. You wasted an hour cowering when you were supposed to feed the prisoners. Next time this happens Ill let you take care of it yourself, that should teach you. By the way, you still owe me $10.

You place the note in your pack next to the piece of the Forret and the note you received from before. Finally you move on to the desk. The drawers are creaky, and you manage to get the top one open just barely wide enough to stick your hand inside. Postcards and old photos lay close to crumbling in your hands. The bottom drawer, however, is stuck and doesnt seem to open when you tug on it.

The Tyrogue jolts in surprise, and jumps over to peer at the photo as you kneel. "My master.....was your father?" He asks, a sense of awe and hope in his voice. Slowly he pulls out the letter to the relative, and stares at it for a long time. Then he lays the note in your hands while looking up at you solemnly. "Happy Birthday," he says with a serious voice. "Im sorry it came so late." He shifts nervously and looks at the floor, wanting to say something but unsure if he should. Finally he glances up at you and says quietly, "I was your birthday present, so, if you want me.....Ill come with you. If not, can you at least take me to the edge of the quarry so I can go somewhere else? I dont like this place very much...." He goes back to eyeing the floor.

You give the drawer one more tug. All it succeeds in doing is making a horrible screeching sound as the metal and wood in the drawer protest at the harsh treatment. You slam your hands over your ears as soon as it started, and when you had time to recover, you withdraw your hands just in time to hear something scurrying around outside the room.
But whatever it was could wait, because you really want that drawer open. Judge uses Psychic and manages to manipulate what turned out to be the lock on the drawer, and gets it open. The drawer hits the floor from the force and its contents bounce softly to the floor. You see a small notepad, a pen, and what looks like a small metal key.

The using her psychic abilities she holds the grimer in place while you throw a pokeball across the field and watch it suck up the helpless grimer

You flip through the notepad, seeing if it holds anything of interest. You find nothing on any of the pages except the last one, and on that one is a single sentence, writting in a strange flowing script:
When you are well traveled and have the key the way will be opened to you.

It doesnt specify what the key is, what is considered well traveled, and where the way will go, but its intruiging even so. Pocketing the notepad the pen and the key you decide to go back to the other room.
Once out, you see a bit of movement over by the hole where the forret once was. Its a Pachirisu, looking at you curiously. Dust still hangs heavy in the air, and a grinding sound comes from up above and to the left, away from the hole.

The Tyrogue gives you a small, grateful smile as the light of the pokeball envelops the tiny pokemon. The ball hits the ground with a clink, before floating midway to your chest and then vanishing in a flash of light. A voice comes over the loudspeaker suddenly, as before.
"Congrats Ben! Your Tyrogue will be waiting for you at the end of your adventure. You have one pokeball left, so make it count!"

After the announcement, the silence in the cabin seemed even greater, broken only by the whistle of the cool wind flowing in through the door to the elevator shaft. You remember the warnings of the Tyrogue, about the quarry's underside. The small pokemon was terrified of it, but then again, the pokemon was a baby. In any case, the door was open to you, and an unlit torch waited just inside the door.

"Eep!" Asi yelps slightly, seeing her friend the turtle getting hurt by the hail. "Apologise for the hail please, Sushi." Turning her gaze to the Gar, she ponders her moves briefly. "Well if it works, keep it up I say. Go ahead and hit him with 3 blizzards, the onyx is hurt and we dont have time to keep it waiting. If he dies before the 3 moves are up, use relax instead."

As hail continues to fall, the fight rages on!

With Sushi still in the dragon's mouth,the Garchomp bites down hard (-7/-8). The little bird isn't going down yet, as he summons a blast of the north wind to slam into the dragon (-12/-15). The Torterra snarls as he tries to drain the dragon of energy (-7, +4/-8).

With the Garchomp still unshaken, Torterra charges again slamming into the dragon hard (-10, -4/-12). The attack forced the Garchomp to let go of Sushi, and the penguin retaliated with his own attack, another burst of freezing wind (-11/-12 (TKO'D)/-15 (FZN)). And the Garchomp goes down, at what cost. The Torterra was caught in the blast, and is now frozen solid, even freezing the Gligar perched on his head like a captain at the bow of his ship.

Sushi relaxes (+5) as you realize you now have a frozen plant-cicle to deal with and try to unthaw, even as the hail rains down (-4).

A large plain that overlooks TPML, the grass is soft and the air tasty. A plethora of grass Pokemon are found here as they enjoy the tickling breeze and the bright sunshine. Bird and normal-types are also found here.


The Journey:

Once again you come and decide to take three of your team with you. As Yana, Ryan and yourself ride the lift, Dodger enjoys the flight back to Sunshine fields. The sun is shining brightly and you can see the village down below.

Walking along a different path than last time, you can see various Caterpie, Wurmple, Metapod and Cascoon nibbling on some bushes. In the grass you can see Bunery bounding along, playing a game of some sort. A Gloom and Weepinbell absorb the sunny day, while a Victrebell waits for its next meal.

Sunshine Fields

A large plain that overlooks TPML, the grass is soft and the air tasty. A plethora of grass Pokemon are found here as they enjoy the tickling breeze and the bright sunshine. Bird and normal-types are also found here.


The Journey:

The view is pleasant, but it doesn't catch your eye. As you continue through the field, you can see the tall grass being shuffled by Zigzagoon and Ratata scuffling and hissing at each other. Hoppip and Skiploom take advantage of the fine weather and low wind to float across the field. A slight buzzing alerts you to the Combee flying from flower to flower before disappearing into the tall grass.

Along the path you spot a Leafeon being mimicked by a Mime Jr and looking quite annoyed. A shadow cast along the ground makes you look up and recognize the shape of a Pidgeot soaring over the field, and looks like it caught lunch.

The Journey:

Nothing catches your eye, so you and your team continue on. A light buzzing meets your ears and you can see Volbeat, Illumise, and Ladyba nibbling on various flowers, and spreading pollen. One gets close to a large flower, which shudders and you can see that the flowers is actually on the back of a Venusaur! A flock of Spearow shriek overhead, causing something to scurry through the underbrush, away from the falcons' shadows.

Further along you can see fluttering in the wind a group of Beutifly and Butterfree flying around a Bayleef and a sweet scent on the air.

A Rattata scurries underfoot as you continue. Chirping on the wind alerts you to a Krikitune in the grass off to the right. You spot more movement off in the grass, and caught a glimpse of white as it hides again. Two Pachirisu nibble on some berries while a Breloom walks into the grass. There's a chime and you see a Chingling holding onto a tall blade of grass as the wind causes it to jingle.
