Gastly has a cunning idea, and tries it off, shouting all sorts of rude things back at Aipom. But Aipom is quicker, and fires off something about a RAID can being its prison for a few months.

Gastly gets ticked, and floats there, ready to charge. Aipom shivers, this waters really getting cold now...

However much Gastly wanted to hurt Aipom, it was all nullified by the paralysis. Aipom swam out to land, glad to be free from the icy grip of that lake.

Gastly could move now, but all he did was fly in circles. Guess Confusion was still there in some facet. Aipom just Plotted something sinister now...but it was entertaining to watch Gastly fly about itself.

Gastly keeps spinning in place, as the lake is refrosted over, thanks to Dribblez. He seems to come out of it though, and fires off a Dark Pulse at the relaxing Monkey on the lakebank. Aipom dosen't really appreciate that, and nods back off to sleep.

Paralysis takes over again, but the confusion feelings wear of, as well as that anger in his heart. Aipom...still chilling.

Feeling like a champion, Aipom stands up, and stretches up as high as his arms can reach. Between then a sphere rapidly forms, and then flies for Gastly. Seriously, he didn't even see it coming. As Gastly is struck and blasted backwards from that considerably powerful attack, he wails in pain. To the point where he seems to be screaming for his life...as well as Cursing Aipom's name.

Aipom feels a chill run down his back-colder than the water.

All of a sudden, Aipom freaks out and screams bloody murder as a significant portion of his health fades away. (-20H)

I think I am starting to get a hang on how to beat Chaos... You just have to overload the move set, so that you cover ALL his contingencies.

Aww... Little Ayeun wants to try taking my most unorthodox trainer award. Right in front of the one who nominated me for it.

So. We aren't going to use Magic Coat. As a result, he is going to use Hypnosis ~ Nightmare ~ Nightmare. Instead, we're gonna rely on that awesome +4 speed, and the fact that you are paralyzed, and dodge hypnosis with bounce. Then, land on Gastly for a few points of damage, enough to shadow ball him for the win. Since he is using Nightmare then, destiny bond won't trigger, and by my maths, he should fall.

Bounce (up) ~ Bounce (down) ~ Shadow Ball

Edit: I was gonna get creative, but it seemed much more satisfying to use moves that ayeun had already seen and should have been able to prepare for. Did you really think the only way to counter hypnosis was magic coat? Admittedly, it is a good option, but it's hardly the only one.

Edit 2: Ayeun, this is a general piece of advice. There are three things wrong with "overloading the move set". One, you will most likely forget something. Pokemon have a lot of moves, and trying to do what you did means you need to cover all of them. There are several other options you didn't take into account, although I hadn't used them in this battle yet. Second, even if you cover all the options, your opponent gets to choose what happens. Your opponent wants you to lose, letting him/her choose what happens is kinda a bad idea. Three, it confuses some refs, which means you don't end up with quite what you want. Use subs to deny them options, not to give them options.

Gastly watched as Aipom launched itself skyward for the first action. What made this hilariously sad, was that he was able to fire off the Hypnotic rays, but they missed.

Gastly frowned as Aipom came down, mainly because he could not attack. Stuck by the falling simian, he hit the ice, and there goes the first sounds of cracking.

Charging up, Aipom's Shadowball grew to an exponential size quite quickly. Gastly floated up from the splintering ice, to see the darkness coming toward him. This was dangerous..and he was confused as to what his last action should be? This was a threat to his life, but he wasn't doing a Nightmare attack, was he?

The Shadowball ended all of Gastly's suffering. The ice cslintered a bit more..but Aipom was ok.

This monkey was rogue. He quietly scratched himself as Ayeun released her final competitor. Out flipped an Oddish, and boy, she wasn't happy with the cold. That was enough to power her Frustration-but Aipom had to make it worse by calling her an unattractive root. Aipom got smashed in the face.

Aipom stood up, wondering why he let that happen. Never mind the fact that Oddish was after him again. He relaxed, but felt a little edgy having this plant suddenly jump on his chest and slam down on him.

Things worked in Oddish's favor though. As she jumped off Aipom, the ice shattered, and the monkey fell in. Oddish landed on a ice floe that still hadn't fully disintegrated yet. Yeah cold snap not relaxing for him.

Aipom doggy paddled with all 5 appendages, trying to perform his next move. Oddish watched as the ice shattered all around, and she jumped on a flying piece of ice, bouncing off that and barely making land. Aipom began swimming for shore, but a mystical aura surrounded him.

Oddish suddenly watched the monkey fly up and turn into a digital mass, before flying back to his trainer. Chaos releases another Pokemon now..a Grimer, and..HAHAH Plops it in the LAKE XD! Grimer immediately doesn't like Chaos right now. Oddish takes advantage and rails Grimer with a deluge of Seed Bombs that push it under the water. Grimer oozes toward the edge of the lake, and it better hurry-lest it undergo the same fate as Eevee.

Still in the lake, Dribblez comes over to refreeze it. Grimer slithers as fast as he can to get out the water but Oddish is ready. A Energy Ball is charged up and blasts Grimer backwards. The sludge Pokemon barely reaches the lakebed before the ice is refrozen again.

He finds himself stuck to that corner!

Well not being able to move is better than being stuck under the lake. Grimer collected some of his own gook and flung it at Oddish, just as Oddish flings a huge collection of Seed Bombs his way. Both attacks reached their marks, but Oddish was hurt considerably more.

Grimer continued to push Oddish's limits, trying to make that root wilt. But Oddish was fighting back as hard as possible. Grimer was smacked around by that Energy ball, and felt slightly weaker all of a sudden.

We need to get that ice loose. Dribblez came along a bit earlier than anticipated, by a fraction of a second.

Easiest way out, melt it with a flamethrower. Then get out of the lake. Sure, you might burn yourself, but meh. Then, taunt Oddish again, cause grass pokemon are scary when they aren't taunted. Finally, hit Oddish with a flamethrower.

Yes. Grimer is on the lakeshore, but he's frozen to the lake bed. So by melting himself free, he'll be free from the lake. So you dun need to say move from the lake shore.

Grimer forgets about Oddish for now and begins spouting off Flames to get himself free. Its not a full out Flamethrower, just enough to get the ice free off his slimy body. Too bad a concurrent Energy Ball slammed into him as well.

No, this was getting dumb! He slid over to where safety was, and cried out as the Oddish launched a second series of Seed Bombs at him. These were hurting mroe and more, what the hell yo!??! Maybe calling Oddish something at even Emeril Lagasse wouldn't eat was a bad thing?

Oddish was already pissed, so any added words didn't seem to phase her that much. She flung an Energy ball so hard that it went through Grimer's Flamethrower and slammed Grimer in the mouth! Grimer flipped on his sludgy back, and regrouped, firing a second round that finally hit her.

Oddish bounced around on the shore, and now tried to get some health back. Meanwhile the weather seemed to warm up...starting to aid the ice's melting. But Grimer then felt the effects of that Giga Drain. That's never good.

Knowing that wasn't enough, Oddish decided to try another Energy ball. But Grimer was ready this time, and used the sunlight to fuel his Flamethrower. Oddish jumped up-and was burned in mid-flight. As Grimer relinquished the flames, Oddish's Energy Ball flew free, smashing Grimer backwards.

Oddish landed, now so mad anymore. But the burn was there...

Oddish now felt quite pained by the sunlight working against her. She stood up, charging up another Giga Drain. Grimer didn't like the looks of that and fired a Flamethrower to stifle all hope Oddish had. She fell back, but the link was still made. A small bit of health went to Oddish, but she felt it wasn't nearly enough.

The Burn didn't help matters, and both Pokemon watched the ice shatter away! (3)

Grimer is recalled, in a sudden and..well no, its not all that shocking. The sludge Pokemon disappears, and out comes a Mime Jr, eager to wrap things up. Ayeun fires off her prepared GigaDrain, and manages to leech just a lil more than she would had from Grimer.

But her vision blacked out soon after, the air around her warped and bent in mysterious ways. She falls over, exhausted.
