Arena:
MLG's new Arena, currently named "The Desert." As the name suggests, it takes place in a sizable desert area. A huge obelisk-like rock stands in the middle. There is a raging Sandstorm that blows for four rounds, subsides for two, then starts up and repeats; weather effects are only useable during those two rounds, as the Sandstorm overrides anything else.

The Sandstorm is currently subsided, round 1 of 2.

With the desert clear from the whipping sand finally, Yu starts charging up a large attack, creating a ball of energy in his mouth. As he starts breathing fire around the beam, Spike rushes over and uses the last of his energy to smack Yu with an electrifying punch. The shock washes over Yu, but he ignores it as he forms the flaming shape in front of his mouth. Aiming carefully, he blasts the humongous beam at Spike who had retracted to his rooting point. A large explosion rocks the arena, and when the dust settles, Spike is seen in a small glassy divot in the sand.

Spike tries to move, but he can't seem to gather enough energy to and collapses. Unbraced recalls his final Pokémon, defeated.
