You 4 move inward, and go down this tunnel carefully. It opens up into a large ceries of caverns,all centrally located around a huge underground pool. A bunch of Pokemon are here, including that Wily Empoleon.

A Dewgong swims by in the lake, as a Bronzong hovers around lazily to your left. Kriketune plays a melody on its hands, giving the impression of summer down here.

Golem roars, upset about this sand that has wrapped around its body. Autumn takes aim, and fires a barrage of seeds that make Golem hiss in pain. It looks far too weak to battle anymore.

You take your hope and launch it with that Ultra Ball. It strike on Golem's backside and catches the beastie. Settling in the Sand it spins as it wobbles once.

It wobbles again as it sinks in the sand. You chase to grab it, but you aren't sure if its closed yet. To hell with it. You dive as it wobbles one last time, you praying that rockbeast doesn't pop back out.

No sir! You are the new owner of a Golem! Witht at catch, you are out of Pokeballs. A bright flash envelops you, and voila, you are back at the base!

Not interested at all in that guy, you keep on moving up. Along the way, you hear as Roar, but its very high up, and so you don't let that bother you. As you climb the switchbacks, you notice a small blue ball slowly coming down the mountain. You watch and note a Riolu sliding down the side of the mountain. It hops on the switchback you and your Pokemon are on-and stares for a moment before heading off.

Not caring about startling any other Pokemon, you point to the Empoleon. Mary takes point and floats over, stealthily moving over the Empoleon. It waddles to the water, unknowingly, and bends down to take a drink. Mary stays over, but Empoleon spots the ghost in its reflection. Quick than she would have liked, Empoleon lunges into the water as the Thunderbolt hits dirt.

Mary hisses and flies above the water. She doesn't care about anything in the lake, and shoots a Shockwave to tag the fleeing Pokemon. It shoots underwater, and two sounds are heard. First, the distinct sound(and flash) of electricity hitting something.

The second is a low, but building rumble. Yet...its not a cave-in she hears.

Mary looks back at the water to see the Empoleon rocketeing toward her, its wingtips pointed right at her. They collide in midair and before you can whip your Pokeball at it, Empoleon has slammed Mary into the water with it! Empoleon then swims out the lake, and you furiously launch your first sphere. It smacks Empoleon in the left wing and the bird is transferred.

Uninterested in the Riolu, you head upward. Maybe there's more going on in this place.

Cue ten minutes later, and you've hiked up a good portion of the mountain without seeing a single thing? What,did they all go to an amusement park. The path is thinner, and at the switchback you reach (your 9th), you stop to take a break. Hiking is cool.

Big show pokes at the ground, eating a mound of it. A set of shrubs waves in the wind, and Booster immediately goes to play with it. You turn, and note Booster disturbed a Grotle! Then, that ear-splitting roar is heard once more. Grotle immediately digs back down and reassumed looking like shrubbery. Big show comes back over, wondering what it is.

LOUD NOISES!

You decide that roar is worth investigating. You point upward and run up the next few switchbacks, your Pokmeon keeping up. Air gets a bit thinner up here, and the temperature drop is notable, Booster not liking it too much.

But the roar, o man its a ear splitting shriek now. You stop climbing and haunch down behind a rock since a fog rolled in. Your Pokemon follow and peer out from the sides. You can make out the shape of a Rhydon stomping about, but its being realtively quiet. The shape that's making the roar is higher up still, but its a really hard thing to see from here.

Booster points to your side-and smiles, and you all then note you've been sitting alongside a hiding Infernape the entire time. The monkey doesn't jump, but is visibly startled. However, its eyes go back to that Rhydon

Leaving the Simian to hide, you and your party made a break up for the path. the Rhydon sees you and follows, not necessarily giving chase. Its more of a curiosity to it. You keep it behind you as you keep running, and soon you hear heavy scuffling. The fog starts to clear and you reach a larger switchback. Up there, you crouch down as you spot a pair of Garchomp standing over a Skarmory's nest, each poking at eggs. Not eating them, just poking at them.

You note that Rhydon coming closer...and so do they. Whether they see you...well that's a different story.

The pair of Garchomp hiss at the Rhydon, and the behemoth stops a few feet from you. One Garchomp stops, realizing you are there, and screeches.

You realize something.

They're not what made the roar. Still confident you can get away with something good, you sheepishly ask the one that was so close if he would just happen to know which of their young was the best one.

The Garchomps look at each other...and then turn away from you. One stares down the Rhydon, whom seems ready to charge..and the other looks at the eggs confused? Maybe they were raiding the nest? It didn't matter, cause that magnificent roar came from above them all, and a form jumped down-accompanied by rocks

Crap. A Rhydon to the back, two chomps to your front and a Steelix that burrowed out from the top of the mountain to your side

Nothing too out of the ordinary thus far, you tell Nutri to focus on bringing some life (or lack thereof) toward them. She skips around you three flapping her petals about and releasing a delectable scent. It wafts off in all directions.

A return scent comes. Its horridly putrid. It belongs to a Skuntank. It comes from the east, followed after by two Glameows. Man, that Skuntank won't let up either!

You boldly ask the question again, and the Garchomp near the nest plum ignores the eggs, and the request. Mainly because of the giant steel snake glaring them down. Steelix roars and bashes one of the Steelix with its iron dome. It backs up, an the second jumps in with a fiery bite. Rhydom roars and trumpets into the quarrel now.

You shrug, thinking this may not be the nest thing to jump into, and quickly scoop up your Pokemon. You then scatter up the now much steeper path and don't stop for few more switchbacks. The path gets shorter now, and the weather gets unfavorably chillier.

This high up, you look down and can see for miles. On this particular landing, you note a Luxray. She's merely sitting there, lazily noting the scuffle 5 levels below.

You hold your breath and run, Nutri following as fast as she could. Lucky for her Grumpus was there to pick her up and speed ahead. You all head west, and dive behind a few tombstones when you think you're far enough. Sure enough Skuntank goes barreling past. Whew!

You climb to your feet and your Pokemon look around. You see a crypt a few meters to the north, atop a small hill. There is a wider section of the graveyard westward from here.

A small rock shivers, and you note its not a rock, but a feeding Larvitar. Suddenly a pair of spindly arms shoot down to try and whisk it away! Whoa Drifloon! But Larvitar laughs and sits still, knowing Drifloon isn't THAT strong.

You grow weary, noting the lack of Pokemon you seek. But how to get to Ivy Lake. You sigh, realizing its going to be a long hike down. But you luck out. You notice the Steelix coming up the side of the mountain. The Luxray moves a bit as the massive snake thunders up the side of the mountain, and turns to loop back down. You grab Booster and Big Show, before jumping atop its back.

It doesn't take the snake long to take you over the mountain and on its other side, only 2 switchbacks from the bottom. You hop off, glad for that free ride, and look around. To your luck, there's a signpost.

Tranquil shores, sounds awesome. You set your guys down and off you march, away from the mountain. Its not too bad a hike from the rugged mountain path, and you notice that the vegetation changes from hardy shrubs to thinner plants, to hardly anything at all. Soon, sparse setting of sand take over, and you can feel an ocean breeze.

Booster runs over and instantly begins playing with the 3 Trapinch in a circle he spots. Big Show claps and points up, as you see a Wingull lazily fly overhead. Its headed toward the wide open sea...

You rush after, excited. Grumpus grabs Nutri as you dart after. The Absol notices you and takes off again, losing you after you run up the second hill. But yu hear its howl a distance away, so there's still hope.

Grumpus dashes in front of you though, to stop you. A look around notes you've wandered into an older part off the Graveyard haphazardly. Open graves lie here, as are larger Pokemon, like the Kadabra mulling around to your left, or the Drapion glaring at you a few feet away.

Duskulls float by looking for trouble..
