Double Team ~ Steel Wing ~ Steel Wing
We begin the next round of this match with Mew sending out his next Pokemon: his female Rhyhorn, Tektite. Tektite looks around the arena, grunts, and paws the ground, feeling the vibrations of the rock.
We now begin the round with Tektite immediately springing into action (as much as a Rhyhorn can) by rearing up and slamming her front paws onto the ground. Rocks around her flew up, leaving small craters in the ground. Phoenix saw the rocks hurtling at her and she panicked. She sped round the arena and quickly made four clones of herself. She breathed a sigh of relief when the rocks came down onto one of her clones. That was too close.

Now Phoenix goes on the assault, dive-bombing Tektite with a wing shining like silver. Well she would be...if her muscles hadn't seized up mid-flight. Tektite was, as usual, oblivious to more or less anything whatsoever and selected one of the clones (lolspoilers). She stamped her two front paws in rhythm and a ring of indentede rocks appeared beneath the clone. The stones then sharply rose up and the clone vanished. Phoenix glared at Tektite for the loss of another clone, but she felt her muscles loosen up, so not everything must be bad...right?

Tektite grunts some more and selects another opponent. Only three left. One of them must be the right one...right? Tektite mashes her teeth together, freezing them and charges towards one of the opponents. She dived at it and clamped down...feeling flesh! It was the right one! Phoenix screeched in pain and she pounded at Tektite in frustration with a silver-tinted wing. Tektite felt the pain and stepped back, releasing Phoenix. Phoenix's clones were gone, but she felt a bit more defensive.

We begin this next deadly round with the two Pokemon eyeing each other. Phoenix flaps her wings and a vortex of dragon energy surrounded Tektite. Tektite looked around her and felt the full force of the Twister. Tektite looked at Phoenix and crackled with a powerful electrical charge (of course, it's ground type, so it makes perfect sense) and fired it at Phoenix. We now begin with Tektite grunting and FIRIN MA LAZOR!!! Well, a thin, light blue lazor which slices across Delko. Delko winces and grunts in pain and surprises Tektite by harnessing some of her Ice Beam and using a much stronger ice type attack: Blizzard. Tektite's eyes widened as she was hit by a raging, icy storm. She comes out of it a bit dazed, and with a frozen left foot. Great.

Tektite sees it coming and wonders if she could blast it out of the sky. She fires the pulse of dark blue-ness and it...goes...straight through the hole. Both attacks hit the oppponent and there are mini explosion, all anime like. Delko shrugs it off and Tektite is slightly wet, as well as Damage Cap broken.

Hold on, Tektite has reach -40% health overall. Go, Wobbuffet! Use Protect! The attack is bounced off the shield and Wobbuffet wobbles back to the reffing podium immediately. Tektite blinks, then charges at Delko. Delko cries out as Tektite has quite low health. Delko lands on the ground, hurting all over.

Re: Back in the Fray 12 v 12: Mew Master vs Wolfsong (Ref: Rossy back)
Because I am the ref, and this isn't a Gym Battle, there is a set DQ of 40%, whether you like it or not.
Also, if a Pokemon has reached the DC by the second (or first, the unlucky soul) action, then for the remainder of the round, it takes no more damage (with the exclusion of statuses, burn, poison, etc.) and any attacks directed at it will fail (Wobbuffet!), but the attacking Pokemon loses no energy, to make it fair.
And that is one of my many individual reffing rules, which has only been needed now.

The music flows over the arena and is sooo soothing...and...and...zzzzz...hm, wazzat loud noise? It seems that Delko is making a very loud ruckus. Now that everyone is not asleep both Pokemon focus on their attacks. Grovyle uses the natural blades on his arms and they glow green. Just a pity Delko isn't a Mudkip, or this wouldn't hurt as much. We begin this morally objective round with Wolf sending out the next Pokemon of the sequence: a not-very-much-harmless Metang. The Metang hovers in the air and stares down Grovyle with cold, unblinking eyes.
We now begin with Grovyle sensing something and immediately shields himself against Hardison's attack. There's a bright flash, but the shield diluted it, making it seem like a dull Volbeat glow. Hardison frowned with his metal eyebrows and wondered if Grovyle was secretly a psychic type.

Now that both Pokemon have sized each other up, Hardison goes in for the attack, striking hard with a never-missing attack. Grovyle takes the attack by at the last second, he grabs one of Metang's arms. Hardison was taken by surprise and tries to break free, but Grovyle had other ideas. Whilst one hand held onto Hardison, the other pushed at Metang. A split-second later, there was a small explosion and Grovyle let go. Hardison went flying and landed, quite hurt.

Hardison winced in pain as it got up. He then began to glow the colours of the rainbow and fired a beam, also of similar colours. He then leapt at Hardison and punched it in the jaw. Hardison floated back slightly and shook its head, feeling a headache coming.

Flash ~ Psychic ~ Sludge Bomb
We begin this startlingly fanatic round with Mew sending out the next Pokemon out. Pokemon No. 8: Kagusuchi the Torchic. Kagu looks around and pecks the ground. Hardison flexes his muscles, but notices the spots are become aggravating.
We now begin with Hardison glowing bright, bright, brighter! Kagu sees this coming and hurriedly erects an inpenetrable forcefield around him. There's a bright flash, but the Protect's built in light-sensitive filters reacted to the bright light, and darkened the shield, protecting Kagu.

Hardison still sees the spots here and there, but is displaying amazing self discipline. He glows light blue and...no wait, Hardison is hitting itself against the ground. *sighs* Kagu, meanwhile, easily breathes fire on the steel type. That's gonna sting.

Hardison tries to snap out of it, but the spots are just too evil. It cries out and shakes its head rapidly. It gets a moment of quiet to prepare its next move. Hardison coughs and hacks and blow your house do- wrong reference. He spits out the evil ball of evilness and it hits Kagu square on the chest. Kagu cries out and feels the poison seep in, but his Safeguard saved the day and protects Kagu from the worst of it. Kagu then breathes fire onto Hardison, and it's all over for it.

*Whose up for healing?*
Snatch ~ Water Pulse ~ Double Team
We begin this nauseatingly healing round with Wolf sending out her next Pokemon. Alexx the Chansey forms from the white light and looks around. Kagu gets slightly curious and moves a bit closer.
We now begin with Kagu pumping himself up for the battle ahead. However, before he could feel the full effects, he notices Alexx glowing bright black. Kagu then also glowed black and felt the effects ebbing away. The black outline converged into a black orb, which then floated back to Alexx. She felt the power of the Focus Energy, whilst Kagu was left out. Awwww.

Kagu was slightly miffed at the loss of a boost, but shrugs, knowing it can't be helped. Kagu took a deep breath and breathed out a large stream of flames. Alexx, meanwhile, was creating a blue disc. She pushed it slightly and it headed for the flames. The flames went straight through the hole in the disc and hit Alexx, whilst the disc hit Kagu and splashed him with water. I could have sworn that has happened before.

Kagu flexes himself up and charges at Alexx...who turns into five. Kagu screeches to a halt and looks at each of the clones. Frowning in frustration, he chooses one of them, grabs onto her (?), and...falls right through. Alexx giggles and feels this battle won't last long. Kagu groans when the shimmering veil fades away.
