Heatran appears to have cottoned on to Falconzord's Mirror Move strategy and promptly decides to Rest. As Heatran slumbers, Falconzord watches and imitates this move, causing him to fall asleep as well. While sleeping, Heatran starts Sleep Talking and rams into Falconzord with a sudden Iron Head. Falconzord continues trying to Mirror Move, but since he's out like a light, he merely rolls over and continues snoozing. Nice effort, though.

You recall your slumbering Pidgeot and send Fenrir into battle. Your Umbreon gnashes his jaws aggressively, ready to strike.

As the rain dissipates, Fenrir takes advantage of his slumbering foe's present state with a Dream Eater. The typing halves the damage done by the move, but it allows Fenrir to suck back a little health, at least. Heatran resumes Sleep Talking and sinks his flaming fangs into Fenrir with unwanted force, causing your Eeveelution to let out a pained cry.

Suddenly, Heatran awakens. Fenrir takes this opportunity to pump himself up with a Focus Energy and Curse and, soon, he finds himself on the receiving end of a blistering Heat Wave which is slightly weakened thanks to Heatran's less-than-stellar Special Attack. Heatran tries to follow this up with a second Heat Wave, but the attack misses and sails out over the ocean.

Fenrir goes for a final Curse as Heatran, growing weary of these shenanigans, goes for a second and third Overheat. Your Umbreon then finds a conch shell lying near the water's edge and imbues it with health, thereby creating a large Substitute. Heatran drives a crack through it with a Stone Edge, but the shell holds strong.

A baton then materializes in Fenrir's maw and he begins to charge it with his unique stat changes. Then, he tosses it into the air and glows red before returning to his Pokeball. Caucus comes out in his stead and catches the landing baton, causing a number of modifiers to course through his body.

Heatran, doing his best to hastily Relax and be done with it, finds himself on the receiving end of a pair of Focus Punches! The sheer ferocity of these powerful attacks throws him halfway down the beach. Roaring in frustration, Heatran pulls himself to his feet charges the conch shell with another Stone Edge, causing it to shatter. At this point, this minor victory perhaps doesn't matter. Caucus connects with a Drain Punch, gaining a nice bucket of health in the process.

"Keep it up, Caucus!" Amelia shouts from the sidelines. Simon, Charlie and the islanders raise their voices in exuberant cheers. "You've almost got him beat!"

It's time. Tiny specks blossom around Caucus's closed fist as zips over toward Heatran to deliver a sudden punch. The attack lands and the spores make contact, causing the leviathan to succumb to Sleep. As Heatran's chest heaves, you pluck an Ultra Ball from your belt and toss it. The mechanism activates and, as the ball opens, Heatran glows with scarlet light as he's sucked into the Ultra Ball's empty cavity.

The ball lands upon the sand and stone and begins to shake. You, Caucus and the islanders watch with snagged breaths.

It shakes once.

It shakes twice.

And...

Click.

Cheers and applause explode around you. The ball then teleports away.

With Heatran successfully captured, the islanders celebrate. You notice the Skarmory and Dugtrio who had assisted you earlier among those breaking out noisemakers and party hats. As the hubbub goes on in the background, you make your request to Amelia.

"Oh, oh, accept!" Simon shouts excitedly.

"Yes! Definitely do it!" Charlie adds.

Tears well in Amelia's eyes.

"Well, I'd say you should challenge me to a battle first, but it's pretty clear you guys would kick my ass," she says. "So I will just say that I accept."

Because you're such a wiseguy, you amble over toward Amelia and poke her in the arm with the Ultra Ball. The ball opens and she's promptly sucked in side. With that, she's caught.

"I'll deliver the last Ultra Ball!" Simon volunteers. He pulls his aviator goggles down in front of his eyes. "I am Slipstream Simon, after all, the fiercest flyer in all of the Safari Zone! It'll take no time at all."

Charlie barely manages to contain a snort as Simon accepts the Ultra Ball. The last thing you see before you're teleported back to the front desk is the sight of Simon taking off over the rolling waves.

Moments later, you find yourself at the desk where the clerk hands you the balls containing Heatran and Amelia. She smiles and tells you to have a good day.

I love Illusion :3 Yami, turn you three into the same species as the guards the use Double Team and send one lot of yourselves in after the other, and create chaos by saying that all of them are imposters. If they attack use Protect to keep the illusions strong. In the midst of all this, Gallade and I will sneak past into the temple and make sure the way is clear for all of you 3 who will slip through afterwards.

"Special delivery from Greyfox!" squawks someone overhead. You turn your head skyward and see a Fearow drop an Ultra Ball into your hands. You have no idea how the Fearow managed to find you here in the dark side of Platrin, but hey, you just scored a free Ultra Ball. You're not about to ask question.

The Fearow takes off and, with the help of Yami's Illusion-making skills and a quick Double Team, you manage to create a little bit of chaos. The guards are left unable to decide which of them is real, which is an imposter and which is, well, a clone. Amidst all this confusion, you and Gallade manage to sneak inside. Once in, you give the signal and your Pokemon hurry through the doors, which you slam shut and bolt behind you. Phew. Now safe, Yami lets the Illusions drop.

Suddenly, just as you take a step in the direction of the Crystal Gallery, all goes black. You hear several shouts from your Pokemon.

When light once again returns to the room thanks to Yurei, you realize that Yami, Yurei, Aikoku and Gallade are all attached to strings like marionettes. Suddenly, the strings move and Yami, wearing a look of total shock, begins punching and kicking Yurei. Yurei, likewise, begins swatting at Yami. She tries to resist, but her movement appears completely governed by the strings.

"Looks like Giratina is glad to be back in this world where it once again has complete control," Gallade grunts as he and Aikoku similarly engage in puppet battle.

Gallade and Aikoku struggle to sever the ropes, but they don't seem able to move their bodies as they desire. Instead, the puppet strings continue to compel them to strike one another violently.

Peering around, you see nothing in the temple's entrance chamber that could be used to cut the four of them free.

Fortunately, you work out a way to get the four Pokemon free from their bindings. Yami and Yurei issue Flamethrowers while Gallade Teleports out of the strings. They quickly free Aikoku from the marionette strings and you proceed through the temple. Phew.

As you progress, things start to get weird. First, the temperature drops, though this perhaps isn't too out of the ordinary for an old drafty temple. Then, as your breath starts to mist before you, tiny flecks of snow begin to fall from the ceiling. Soon, you're trudging through several feet of the white stuff just sitting there in the middle of the hallway.

Yurei seems okay, but you, Gallade, Yami and Aikoku soon stop and stand there like shivering wrecks. The cold is too much for you to take.

Suddenly, ice crystals accrue around Aikoku's body. He Freezes solid.

The snow in the corridor is bizarre, but you try to press on anyway with a little warmth care of Yurei. Aikoku fortunately thaws out, though his wings are still sore and numb. Thankfully, you're still able continue trudging toward your goal.

Suddenly, the snow lets up just a tad and the floor is soon covered in a thick layer of ice. You slip and slide around chaotically and quickly discover that the ice makes continuing on nearly impossible. Yurei and Yami try to melt it with quick Fire attacks, but the cold seems to have quelled all the heat in their bellies.

You and your Pokemon grip the walls and cautiously shuffle toward your destiny. The plan seems to work well enough for about a minute until the ice begins to slowly crack beneath your feet.

"Nothing to worry about," Gallade says. "There's nothing beneath the ice but the floor. I mean, it's not like we're walking across a frozen lake... right?"

The ice cracks further and you remember some of the weird shit Giratina has pulled. For some reason, you're not so sure of your safety.

There really doesn't seem to be anything you can do but carry on. Stepping gingerly across the cracking ice, you think light thoughts as you continue.

This pans out quite well up until the point when the ice gives way beneath Gallade's feet. With a cry, he falls through. There doesn't appear to be floor or water beneath the ice; rather, he has simply fallen into darkness. You cannot see him.

I'm sure Gallade will be okay though, because the way Giratina was talking earlier sounded almost like he respected us, and he wouldn't try to kill us if he did. Hopefully, of course.

You and Aikoku break into a sprint. The ice cracks beneath your feet and gives way, leaving you to cross the final few feet with a sudden leap. Fortunately, you manage to make it just as the rest of the ice crumbles away to nothing. Phew.

Now that you're free, you wander around for a little bit. With the constantly changing surroundings, it's hard to get a bearing on your location. However, after a moment, this particular hallway starts to look familiar. Suddenly, you realize that you're one floor below the Crystal Gallery in the hallway where you met the—

Musicians. You realize Luxray, Ursaring and Roserade are standing there blocking your path. Roserade fixes Aikoku with a look of pure venom.

"You broke my heart!" she shrieks. "And now I'm going to break your face!"

Wow. What a line.

Aikoku flexes his wings. Since they appear to be in working condition, he pulls a tapestry off the wall and imbues it with a small amount of health, thereby creating a Substitute. You hop on his back and try to bypass the musicians, but Ursaring obliterates the Sub with a sudden Focus Blast while Luxray sends Aikoku into a tailspin with a Thunder. You quickly pull yourselves back up to your feet. Okay, looks like it's time to fight.

You send out Yami and Yurei and get all of your Pokemon to focus on Roserade. Aikoku deals a pair of Air Slashes while the others make use of strong Fire-type attacks. Just like that, she falls.

Ursaring and Luxray peer at one another with looks of terror on their faces. They decide to gang up as well. Ursaring strikes out at Aikoku with two Metal Claws while Luxray keeps the Thunders coming. Sparks travel up and down Aikoku's body, alerting you to his Paralysis.

You did great Aikoku, just use U-Turn on Ursaring ASAP. Yami, use Low Sweep on Ursaring (or Counter, if it uses a psysical move), followed by Focus Blast on it, then use Shadow Ball on Luxray. Yurei, start off with a Hypnosis on Luxray, then use twin Fire Blasts on Ursaring (or switch to Luxray if it faints).

Aikoku lets out a battle cry and zips toward Ursaring. Quick as can be, he rakes his claws across the great bear's chest before glowing red and returning to his Pokeball. With the battle now effectively a two on two, you command Yami to lash out at Ursaring with a pair of strong Fighting-type moves. Meanwhile, Yurei tries to lull Luxray into a deep sleep; however, the Pokemon lets out a sudden Howl, keeping himself pumped and ready for battle.

As Luxray uses his new strength to Giga Impact Yami into a wall, Ursaring lets out a roar and begins assaulting your Zoroark with three Focus Blasts of his own. Yurei makes with the flames against Ursaring while Yami, overwhelmed after taking so much damage in such a short period, tries to fling a Shadow Ball at Luxray. It goes wide and crashes against a wall.
