I recently made a fake pokémon that probably sets a new record in details. Also, something funny happened involving this pokémon today. I was drawing it, and there comes this moron from my class and asks "What's that? A pokémon?", just meaning to joke. I had to try hard not to laugh when I told him it was just a made-up animal.

Anyway, time for THE details, isn't it? It's a pokémon of the Dragonite/Tyranitar kind. It has three stages of evolution, evolving at levels 30 and 55... but since the only one I'm actually posting art for is the last stage, I'll only include the details of that one. It's not named yet, so if you have a suggestion, by all means mention it.

Pokémonological facts #1: When it is born, it's completely white, with small and weak paws and a tail that, oddly enough, is made out of muscles alone, no bones. This gives it the ability to wrap its tail around pretty much anything that's small enough. It's got huge eyes in the first form...

While it grows in its first form, parts of its body (the same ones that are like a coat of armour on the third form) start getting gray, and end up black.

Once it has gotten enough iron from the food (or reached level 30), the iron is transferred to the cells in the black areas. Slowly, in some unknown way, they make the hairs, which are at that time very normal, transform into some kind of a strange, light type of metal. The hairs will also start sticking together, as long as the body part in question is not moving. For example, the tail is one of the armoured areas, but if they keep moving it, the hairs won't stick together, just transform into metal, making them quite easily moveable once the transforming is over and it evolves into the third form (level 55)... same with the armored parts that reach a little down onto the legs, if they run around a bit, those areas will just be metallic hair, leaving them quite limber. However, with the face mask it's a bit different. The hair doesn't just transform, more of the metal is formed on the outside to make the mask thicker. Then, when it has covered the parts where it touches the skin, it starts growing out, that is, the blade at the top of its head and the ones at the sides. The ones at the sides, though, first grow in that little spike that points up, then go on further back. The spike that points up can show their age pretty well, because while the long blades only grow to a certain length at most, but the spikes keep growing its whole life, very slowly but steadily. Also, while it does vary between individuals, the spikes sometimes go pretty straight up and sometimes they bend forward.

The claws are also made of metal, but a bit differently constructed one that one's not as light and darker in color. The paws grow a lot in size after the claws start forming, because the metal simply bulges them out. They can't withdraw their claws, either. Next picture: A close-up of a paw.

Pokémonological facts #2: Its "shiny" (or "minorly genetically mutated") form is the same, both have white fur and metallic armour at the same places but the armour on the shiny ones is made of the darker metal the claws on a normal one are made from. This makes the armor heavier, but the mutated gene that makes this happen also increases their strength and decreases the size of the armor in comparison to the body itself, with the blades on the head nowhere near as long as on a normal one. They travel in packs and the leader of the pack is always shiny. Actually, the real leader's mate is also a leader, but the real leader will always be the shiny one. The shiny mutation is dominant so that all of the leader's offspring will be shiny too. However, once they are in their final form, they must fight each other, including the current leader, to see who's to become the next leader. The other ones are banished from the pack. If the only shiny in the pack dies without an heir, the other leader will take their place until they find a shiny final form without a pack, and then that shiny will claim the pack's throne immediately. The other, normal leader won't protest, due to them all respecting the shinies.

So, picture #3: A shiny leader's head. This one's pretty old and the first picture I showed was of one with an unusually small mask, so you don't really see the difference in the mask's size now, but you will on the last one.

Pokémonological facts #3: They have been used for "**** fights" - that is, newborn first forms are put to sleep by cruel people and then brought to an evil place where they're given specially made food with lots of iron in. That way they evolve unnaturally quickly. In the food, there are also drugs that make them dizzy, weak and unable to think properly. Also, their tail is forced to stay in place, straight upwards, so that once the armor grows over them, it makes them into sticks that can be used as weapons. Then, when they're going to fight, they stop feeding them, put them in special security thingies where their dizzyness can wear off in peace and they can attack the walls, charge at them, stretch their tired legs and get into the right form for a fight. Then in a few days, all you need is bring either one into the other's room, and they'll both be so hungry and desperate that they'll start attacking each other. Just in case, they've got something to give them electric shocks with until they start fighting. If they either refuse to fight whatever is done or when one has beaten the other, those electric shocks (at a higher voltage) are also used to kill the living ones as it's expensive to get pokémon back to health after something like this with items, and they can't be brought to a pokémon center as any decent nurse Joy will recognize the injuries, as this fighting is of course illegal. And if they refuse to fight, there's no use in them. Cruel, cruel people... why did I even make all of that up? It's disgusting...

Anyway, here's one that luckily managed to escape, but he will forever bear one scar after the treatment: His immovable stick of a tail. Poor thing. I feel so sorry for him...

Oh. Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow!

That mask is soooo cool looking! I love it! And all the detail, whoa! You really thought everything out well, making them more like real animals and yet genuinly Pokemon. Great! Umm, I can't really think of more to say, I'm kinda bowled over, heh.

Ah yes, but it really needs a name, hmm, lets see what the ol' brain can come up with...

    Meragon

    Metagon ()

    Metaligon

    Ironus (pronounced, I-ro-nus)

    Ironarus

    Carboneel (from carbon-steel)

    Carbonar

    Carbogon...

I like Carbogon myself, because we already have META-gross and ARON, so it's a wee bit more original. (TMM, are you reading this?)

I'd love to see this guy's prevolved forms. He kinda reminds me of a Fakemon I made up call Artimax, a pure ice type with similar stat sums and evolution. (And a wicked move pool if I do say so myself.)

*smacks self* Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Remember the Agent Elrond Absol you did earlier? Well I made a picture of you! Scythizard! (Attached.)

    *stares at the Scythizard*

Whoa. Thanks Agent Elrond. It looks... too good... x_x *faints*

Hmmm... I think Metaligon is actually the only name I think would fit it of those you suggested, because... erm, don't ask me why, but I have this weird thing that I don't think the letter R fits anything metallic. I have a similar weird thing about books and stuff, for example the second Harry Potter book is the "softest" of them... I'm so weird. At least somehow I feel like the letter R can't be in its name, because I'm so strange.

But I also thought of a name that might fit it... can you tell me your opinion? Letal (lethal + metal). Maybe with something added to the front or end... what do you think?

Oh I'm glad you liked the Scythizard, I did it in my own semi-real style. Note the hand and feet are a little more detailed than in the official art.

Anyway, it's your Fakemon, so it's completely up to you what to call it. (And then maybe I can use Carbogon myself. ^_^)

Letal sounds really cool though, but as you said kinda short. Maybe Letal (cause it sound a rather like "little") could be the name of one of it's pre-evos?

Wait! How about Letaligon? (I dunno, I just like the "gon" endings, like "dragon", whooo, anyway that's just MY weirdness. ^_^

    Leta, Letal, and Letaligon... 8)

Hey, that sounds great! Leta, Letal, Letaligon... nice. I think that will be it... I like "gon" endings too.

About Scythizard, I especially like the changes you made to Charizard's arm. It looks much better as you draw it. I can never get myself to make that big changes on something I'm drawing fanart of...
