Wat kind of anime lovers are you? [Poll]

Well besides discussing on girls as mentioned in the other topic. CCC and I went one to discuss about the types of animes that we would prefer to watch. Surprising as different from the girl's topic counterpart, CCC would prefer to watch those romance and mushy stuffs.

I myself would very much prefer to watch animes with explosive actions and maybe a bit of romance too. Lookz like CCC and I are really 2 different types of anime lovers. O and now back to the poll stuffs, here are the list of animes types and please indicated what kind of mixture of these factors would you want your prefered anime to have?

Darky, I think you jest.

Let me set the record straight. I am not into mushy stuff, I can't stand mushy stuff. Here's what I like.

Comedy (I need to laugh)
Fantasy (only if done well, most fantasy ones are being done poorly lately)
Romance (because it gives me hope that oen day i might actually experience it. However, mushy romance makes me sick. Keep it real or I'm gone)
Schoolkids (They're just as interesting as adults, and nothing beats a good dose of teen angst)

Ecchi (In the sense of beautiful women and a bit of sex jokes. I'm tired of excessive fanservice. Some is good, but too much is bad for the brain)
Action (as in engaging and unpredictable action with kick-butt women and not-so macho men)

Action and maybe adventure. Comedy is good, but Japanese humor is something that rarely appeals to me.

Everything else is optional.

I like......... Historical Settings, Science-fiction, Mystery, Music, Fantasy (that's a very broad genre, IMO!) maybe some Action and Adventure or Parody even. Action is also nice. The rest I'm not so into. I 99% of hte time only like Romance as a subgenre. Others I don't mind as subgenres.

I'm one of the animÃ© fans that doesn't pretend to prefer Japanese versions to English versions.

Oh, sorry, didn't read the topic

Anyway, my fave animÃ©s are Gundam, DBZ, Digimon, Ultimate Muscle, Teen Titans (although it isn't technically an animÃ©...), Outlaw Star...so I guess I like action, adventure, maybe a bit of comedy thrown in.

Dark and noir type animes always get me, ones that are on the borderline of hentai normally turn me off-- the only one I've been able to watch that's like that is Ninja Scroll. The action and such sort of sucked me in, made me put aside the fact that I was watching a large rock-monster-thinger rape a woman... Yeah...
It all depends on how I'm feeling. Evangelion is one of my favorites too, and it's not all that dark compared to some animes...

Hmm, I don't have much of a preference for anime actually. I'm one of those people who either like a show or don't.

Although, I do admit, I really can't seem to get into the Gundam series much, or any really, really serious anime, unless it's a drama and I don't mind drama.

I like adventure, humor, comedy, action, fantasy, magic, and especially romance. It's my favorite because it's sometimes sad and happy.

. I think most of the things that I really like are fantasy, magic, and demons. Yes, I believe demons deserve a genre all their own. A little comedy is nice too. I believe most of this can be summed up in the animes Saiyuki and Twelve Kingdoms and the mangas Demon Diary and Vampire Game.

I generally don't see a point in having realism in a medium whose advantage is not being real in the first place.

I mainly prefer my anime with a blend of adventure and mystery, but I like a lot of the things you listed in anime, if done well.

Anime is a medium where u can do things u cant in real life. The same way CGI breaks boundaries in life-action movies.

"Realism" is stuff like JinRoh and Umi ga Kikoeru i.e. none or minimal anime craziness like swirly eyes, multi-colored hair (i can be forgiving here a wee bit tho) or exaggerated actions.

Well, let's see here.. my favorite animes are: DBZ, Cowboy Bebop, Yugioh, and Inuyasha.

I guess I am an action, adventure, and drama lover. What I liked about DBZ is that it did have some drama, like when Gohan used his anger caused by Android 16's death to become SSJ2, I was amazed, and that episode is why the Cell saga is my favorite. And yeah, anime has rad action and adventure, so there's no need for an explanation there.

I generally enjoy sci-fi/action anime. This includes .hack//Sign, Ghost in the Shell, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. However, I really enjoy Perfect Blue, a very well made murder/mystery anime. I can't wait to see Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

I like action with a splash of comedy, and some drama and romance thrown in. Trigun does it really well. Blue Seed also mixes it all up really well, with Kusanagi's sense of humor, and the kaede-kusanagi-momij love triangle. Romance and drama do well to spice a story up, but not if it's the full-on premise of the story. And, as always, bebop is teh sh*t.

I'd like to see a bit of dark, emotional anime that keeps a demeanor of maturity in behavior and realism despite hints of shoujo-ness and school life. Well, of the topics given, I guess I like Action, Adventure, Comedy(if mixed in), Drama(when mixed in), Fantasy, Magic, and Romance(mixed in).

Favorite anime include Digimon, Serial Experiments Lain, InuYasha, Chobits, Outlaw Star, Trigun, and a few others.

I like action and comedy.
I have to see an anime that has lots of action/gore. For me, those anime tend to have really deep stories.
I also need the funny stuff. I really loved FMP? Fumoffu.
