Round Ten

As we enter the two-digit rounds both contestants are at their last pokémon. A lot has happened over the past 9 rounds. 2 fierce fighters have already been recalled, one because it was knocked out, the other because of the lack of energy. The referee was poisoned but seems to be over it now. The 50 dollar fine is going around in the spectator seats and we have found out what a Glalie eats.

The bird pokémon is relieved when his trainer commands it to take to the air. She doesn’t want to be digested inside the big floating head. And she has a trick up his tail. She slightly loosens the grip on the bag-like tail and reaches in, but her concentration on her foe weakened, Hailfire takes his chance. He charges up an orb of negative energy from inside his head(maybe he’s recycling the things he has eaten) and shoots out the ghostly ball. April notices the ball to late and gets smacked hard by the ball. It looks like the engine have stalled and Ms. Claus is crashing down. Managing to pull of right on time, she sees her chance to set the present down and immediately flies up again. A radiance from the present seems to attract the monotype pokémon as he’s lured closer and closer. He moves closer and closer and finally tips of the top of the box. He looks in and to Hailfire’s surprise a golden light shines upon him, giving him a bit of strength back.

Seeing her combo fail, April lands down with glowing eyes. She smiles. She can see her opponent getting hit by a powerful attack soon. The glowing fades and to her dismay, it is currently raining. Flying in the rain is very hard as the feathers pick up extra weight. Seems that birdy needs to stay down for now.

Being a bit tired from the strain she has put on her muscles, the bird can only watch as Hailfire opens his mouth and lets the rain pour in. With his mouth filled, the face pokémon adds some supersonic waves and finally spits it to his opponent. She gets clobbered by the attack and lays flat on her back. She reaches up to see a very delighted Glalie.

How annoying. Ok, try a Mud-Slap, since there's plenty of wet earth around, then follow with Seismic Toss- hurl Hailfire at one of the rocks scattered around, or a rock at Hailfire, whichever is closest. Finish with Secret Power.

Excellent Hailfire. Start off with a blast of Icy Wind. Blow it toward that bird as she throws mud at you, that'll freeze that mud over and chill April at the same time. Then, deal out a double helping of Rollout. If she tries to grab you, it'll be rather difficult with you rolling, and the roll might deflect thrown rocks as well. Plus, getting run over by a 500 pound block of ice can't be very pleasent for her either. We know that Future Sight is coming sometime soon, so if that manages to stop you mid-roll somehow then use Earthquake. As long as she stays grounded, the attack will hit no problem.

Round Eleven

Finally having a bit of luck, Elec seems relieved that he managed to hinder Aces plans. Not being content about something called RNG, Ace decides to release a Scizor, a Donphan AND a Hitmonchan to utterly destroy this RNG-object. Apparently it’s magical forces are strong enough that Elec thinks he should protect it so he sends out a Huntail, an Octillery AND a Masquerain. The 6 pokémon are confused to where to find this magical object called RNG until they notice the ref wearing a RNG-shirt. Ow crap, what a time to start a fashion trend…

April curses the weather for making her soaking wet and making it a lot harder to take flight. But her master has a plan at how to utilize this. She swipes with her hand over the muddy earth and sends a glob of it flying towards her enemy. The all knowing floating head sends out a chilling bit of wind to stop this attack but all it did was cover it in frost, making it even harder. Hailfire get’s whacked on the head (what else) by the hardened mud. At least he’s not messy now.

Hailfire retracts his ears and starts to roll wildly in the wet terrain. The mud doesn’t seem to help as spinning to fast, means spinning out of control. Slipping here and there, the big chunk of ice manages to strike at a defensive Ms. Claus. She managed to grab onto Hailfire but couldn’t slow his spin and needed to release him. The result of these two attacks? April has some blisters on her hands and Hailfire’s attack was deflected for a small part. Neither pokémon look content with this result. But suddenly from the sky, the clouds open. A ray can be seen. Is the sun coming out already? Nope, it’s a golden light that strikes the rolling Hailfire. Already slowed down, the blast manages to completely stop the roll.

A bit woozy, Hailfire floats up a bit more then he’s used to and suddenly slams down on the ground. Shockwaves are send over the earth and the grounded bird gets knocked of her feet. April doesn’t take this for granted as she releases a white beam of energy towards Hailfire. Small, purple particles can be seen inside the beam. This can’t be good for Hailfire as he’s stricken by the beam and the particles enter his body. He starts coughing and suddenly he doesn’t feel to well… It seems that Ace’s team has won the battle over the mythical RNG.

Ok Hailfire, your still doing good. Now then, start off by smashing that bird into the ground with a fast Body Slam. Keep your weight on her to prevent a counterattack. Then, release her only to blast her with a close-range Blizzard. The mud that she's probably covered in since you crushed her into the ground before will make a nice medium for a solid freeze. Finally, fire an explosive Shadow Ball at her. In case of a Double Team or blinding, blast the Blizzard in a wider area to ensure a hit.

Round Twelve

And round twelve starts out with a whole load of confusion. Official referees (not me, I’m not officially approved) butt in. Apparently this match has been decided to be a 2 on 2 and both combatants have already released 5 pokémon. So if the trainers do not recall their pokémon, they will be test subjects of the UBERBALL. A new type of pokéball that is only usable for the poképolice. It will ignore any catching rules (weakened pokémon or if the pokémon already belongs to another trainer and will never miss). So both of you recall your pokémon immediately.

The fighting pokémon have no intrest in their comrades. They just want to pummel each other. April because Hailfire made her feathers wet and Hailfire because he wants a snack. Hailfire Races forward. How he can sprint is beyond me but it doesn’t interfere with him doing it anyway. April on the other hand has brought one of her hands backwards and a glow can be spotted behind her back. The glow grows more intense every second but it seems that the charge up is a bit slow as Hailfire, the huge ice cube, comes crushing down on her. The mud sticks on her but luckily(depends on point of view), the energy had reached a stable state and the christmas bird knockes the facepokémon of off her, although moving around was pretty hard.

Not trusting the opponent, April wants to know what he’s up to. A slight energy spark can be seen in the eyes as she enters the mind of Hailfire. She finds information about all kinds of snacks, until she finally sees how he plans to torment her. Again a small spark is seen as her mental powers retract. April has on realization, she needs to move. Hailfire takes in a deep breath and releases his attack, on the floor. Confused as to were his opponent is, Hailfire gets scared as a familiar glow radiates from behind him. He slightly turns around to be suckerpunched by Ms. Claus herself.

Frustration builds as a negative energy gathers inside Hailfire’s mouth. Again he starts a recycling process and the objects inside of him start to dissipate, making it easier to find the null-energy. The floating head shapes the energy into a ball and shoots it forward. It explodes onto Hailfire and she’s send flying back, skidding over the mud. She stands back up and the mud covered bird starts to like the rain as it washes of most of the muddy parts. Then she notices her opponent cringe. The poison has struck. The bird crashes onto one knee. This round has taken a lot out of her.

Alright Hailfire. I want you to start with your own Ice Beam. What you need to do, is prepare the energy and then wait. Once April starts to build up the water, quickly fire the Ice Beam at her mouth. If you time it right, it'll freeze the watery ball before she gets a chance to launch it, making the attack useless. Heck, maybe she'll choke on the frozen ball or something. Then, close your eyes and Relax, that ice attack can't do much to you. And to finish, open your eyes, rush forward and hit her with another Crunch. Dark energy can't be good for concentration, and she'll need a lot to look into the future.

Round Twelve

As the two battlers recall their latest releases, the ref seems disappointed I really wanted a scizor and donphan. Don’t really like Elec’s pokémon. Mods glare viciously at me for that comment but nothing I can handle. They all fear the cactus sword. Finally the trainers set their commands and watch to learn.

The floating face starts first as it is gathering freezing stuff in his mouth. Small clouds are formed and some of the rain that passes by became ice. Hailfire is patiently waiting for the right moment but lacking the energy, he can’t hold back the frost in his mouth. A beam of coldness gets shot forward and hits the bird, freezing a bit of the water between the feathers. The bird angrily retaliates by blasting a orb of water with ultrasonic waves in it to his opponent. And the magical power of the RNG strikes as a dazed Hailfire is watching the rain while a bit of drool comes out of his mouth. Nobody wants to know what he’s seeing right now.

Although he’s confused, Hailfire manages to closes his eyes. He starts to stagger back and forth. Apparently he’s still seeing things as the amount of drool is increasing. Ms Clause doesn’t waste time as she sends a similar beam of coldness towards her foe. It doesn’t hit her foe in the eyes directly but more in the area. Sadly, a glalie has the ability to control ice freely (see sapphire pokédex entry) and it gets sucked into the rest of the icy armor.

Hailfire reopens his eyes and sees his opponent stare blankly in the sky. At this point one thought crosses the iceball’s mind. Must eat bird. He rushes forward as clouds of darkness float around his mouth. He bites down on the bird that doesn’t lose his concentration. Again he saw a future where her opponent gets hurt. April returns to conscious to see an empty stomach. Apparently all the stuff inside of Hailfire has been recycled into various attacks. April manages to get out of the mouth when Hailfire groans under the poison.

Well Hailfire, that things bound to be getting tired. We could be REALLY evil and use Taunt... but we won't, I don't like being evil. Hopefully it won't come back and bite us in the arse. Start off by raising a Light Screen, protect yourself against possible incoming special attacks (and that Future Sight). Then, let loose with Facade, show her just how furious you are about that poison and confusion. And finally, go ahead and Relax again, we don't want to run low on power. In case of Focus Punch, use a Leer to frighten it and make it leave you alone, or at least weaken the strike by making her hesitate.

Its Christmas now, and I kinda expected Ace to have returned by this point (can't be busy with college STILL, can he? Don't they get breaks?). I'm giving him until the end of the week (Friday), then I'm going to call the DQ on this battle. I want to finish it, but at the same time having stale battles sitting around is blah.
