So, been a while since I comment here. I like the way the story is proressing. I sence mr_pikachu and Gavin are gonna have an all out super brawl of death. Or they could talk it over like the adults they are, because internet forums are the best place for a clam, meaningful discusion.

So we've let Becca go... fair enough. Things are going to turn ugly though, judging from Gavin's brick-eating expression and the angry one later on. It sure does feel like more than twenty minutes have passed. The problem with some comics is that you can never tell what the timespan of events is; so how long has it been since the first event, the awards? I agree with Goodnight Seadra that Brian and 'I' probably subconsciously rushed through the decision so Gavin wouldn't have the opportunity to disagree. That, and waiting around for people to gather to make decisions is always tiresome. Oh the joys of pseudo-meritocracy... I like how when Brian says it seemed like a good idea, there's this innocent radiant halo of light behind him.

Now for the other part: I reckon the 'boss' of Kalah, Weasel and Roy is Gabi. Seems like a fitting character. I noticed she addresses Kalah as Bulbasaur4, which seems a bit distant, but that could just be a formality. And she has an office? Cool! I love how Weasel and Roy are always having a go at each other.

The fact somebody such as Shin-chan was picked to represent Roy was fairly amusing.

Although I love the dialogue for both Weasel and Roy, given I've had conversations with both. Fairly accurate, I might add.

Also, as for who the anime character is, it's (Lady) Subaru from .hack//SIGN, which was a slightly underrated anime in terms of what America is given considering most here want heavy, heavy action a lot of the time. As for who it is, Lady Vulpix is an accurate guess, although given she were more active still, Little_Pikachu could fit the part, as well; I know she's been caught in a lot of RPG crossfire since the days of Muffin lore.

[rant-muse]Which makes me kinda wish that if I did appear again, I'd be somebody like Tsukasa. Or somebody small and cutesy-looking like Seth Nightroad from Trinity Blood.

Although I may need to become more active again given that were to happen. :< [/rant-muse]

But anyway, I really, really like where this has been going; never got around to saying it due to consumption of time. Although there is the timespan issue, as well as the questions of who the Lady Subaru-like is and what exactly happened for Brian to decide to let Becca go, I think the next few strips will provide us with answers.

Ada: Bricks are full of nutrients. Like I said before, I don't often bring up the issue of time... it typically only comes up when it's relevant in some way. And you bring up an interesting point about the lighting in that last panel. Hooray for naivete and stupidity!

So, you think that Gabi's the boss-lady? Perhaps, perhaps not. That issue will soon become quite clear. As for her manner of addressing Kalah, it's interesting that you should bring that up... that fact was not beyond my consideration. Think about that when you see her again!

You're definitely right about .hack//SIGN being underrated. I'll admit that the start was slow, even for me, but once the plot got going it was really deep and good. Still, I can see why series like Bleach and FMA are also big hits, given that they combine a constant feverish pace with similarly deep plotlines and worlds. As for who this new lady is (Lady Subaru, ha), you'll know sooner than you may think. Given my track record, at least.

As for your hinting... meh.

But anyway, I'm glad you like the direction of the plot thus far. Hopefully it'll keep you guessing for just long enough to be thrown by the curves to come!

#121 - Oh, I think I know exactly who this "Belle" is... (Spoiler:) I seem to recall B4 mentioning a "Saff" at one point, and since I've known someone whose username begins with those four letters (NO, NOT SAFFLOWER XD) to also use the name "Belle" at times... yeah. ;)

As for Belle's identity, you may very well be wrong... but Gavin knows who she is, actually. I asked him for help with finding information, you see. He didn't have a clue about it either, so I gave him a comical play-by-play of my solo research. ^_^; It's funny, because I was chatting with him on AIM recently, and he practically swore at himself for not realizing who she was immediately, since he knew she'd be introduced soon.

...Actually, maybe he did swear at himself.

And I also think that in panel 5, we could've heard a low growl in the background, because I think Gavin's at that level of annoyedity now.

You make a good point about the possibility for some noise, and I did consider it. But I decided against any additions both to preserve the integrity of the glare (seriously, I love that image) and because sound effect in particular are something I've only been using when they're necessary to convey something. I might've gone the other way if I was using a medium with sound, but as it is, I thought this would work better in this case.

When he's half-naked (or completely naked), he makes it perfectly clear! In a live, worldwide broadcast! There's some humor in the last three pages. Okay, I lied; there's quite a bit in there, because there's some that tickled me into laughter. Teeth-gritting Gavin becoming near Super Saiyan, the youth and wit of Mega Horny, and for some odd reason Ada liked to go out into the snowfall that evening instead of staying inside to be warm with Brian.

...okay, the last one didn't sound right. But I think you get my point.

And I still wonder what will happen next. Will we go back to the suspense that we turned from in #121? Will Gavin return back to normal with his hair? And what happened that would cause Ada to be a little down and willing to confide in Brian?

I probably speak for more than myself when I say that we hope we won't see some character in a hoodie saying "YOU GONNA GET RAPED." But I still wonder what it is, seeing that there are a lot of different possibilities.
