Blade: Something about that last page makes me doubt that plan would work very well in this instance.
Faiz: I actually finished that sentence when I was writing this, and only cut off the end because I'd exhausted the limits of the page. Still, why not keep you in suspense for awhile?
Nice theory about the other references. We'll see if it holds true or if you have to shamefully eat crow.
Kalah: Haha, flaming! You're clearly not a fan of We Didn't Start the Fire.
Thanks for the compliment about the prophecy. That took me a long time, actually. It surprised even me, although I was even more surprised by the text rotation actually working decently.
DS: Everybody loves prophesied doom!
Considering that things haven't begun to deteriorate yet... perhaps.
Charles: *tries to remember the last PM I sent you*
Well, perhaps it's a good thing that you're at least partially oriented with Team Chaos. ^_^;
Laura: Heh, thanks for the compliment!
If anything significant was on the preceding pages, it's likely already in the past, which means that the mods have lost the chance to stop it. However, a close analysis might reveal some useful information. I'm glad you want to know more about the identities of the unnamed; I actually plan to reveal a lot about that very soon. Which, in my case, means about 20 pages from now. Maybe.
As for the possible literal interpretation of blood and fire... no comment. How enlightening!
Mikachu: Thanks, man. I'm glad you appreciate the occasional deviation from my six-panel pattern. It's not something I do often (or plan to do much more frequently in the future), but hopefully it serves as a nice jolt at choice moments.
And I saw the whack. If I could draw half that well, I wouldn't be doing this fic in the Ctrl+V style.
Ada: Haha, nice quote! Not that I've ever heard the song, but... yeah!
(Which reminds me that I haven't done the ringtone thing in awhile. Hmm.)
One could assume that Ms. Blue Hair is She. But then again, each group, tightly formed or loosely dispersed, has gotten information from a variety of sources. It may be hard to rule out anyone from any role just yet. As for MoP, while he could have held it as an ace in the hole, it was an interesting psychological ploy. Mewfour's fearsomeness also adds to the potential for a psych play. Perhaps he can get DS to hesitate and second-guess himself...? The mental battle can be just as important as physical combat.
You wonder why DS and MoP hold hostility for one another? Very good question.
Book Three ends as 2008 begins. Happy new year?
#150: Jay lives!
This page was completed before #146. Needless to say, I've been planning this twist for quite awhile. The setup, if you've forgotten, happened in #88.
Aside from the headers on the Cover and Extra pages and the boxes in #128, this is the first time that text spaces have been of my own creation. I thought a first-person thought bubble was necessary, and it adds some needed drama.
The sad thing is that I spent most of my time on this page making the little "eye opening" layers. It was a fairly simple process once I knew what I was doing; just draw two circles, flood fill everything but the intersection, and add a little blurring. But it took awhile to refine my technique... and to choose a good "darkness" color.
