You continue onward, up the nearest mountain. There are no tires tracks or ski marks nerby, so you assume this mountain isn't one normally treaded..or its a new pack of snow. Gin climbs on your shoulder, as you quickly realize the snow is up to your waist.

Trudging along, you spot a path digging itself all on its on. It stops when you stop and a Swinub barely pokes its nose out of the hole before falling back in and digging again, uninterested. You hear a flap, but barely spot a Pidgeotto as it soars on by.

You can see an entrance in the mountain, but its still a way's up.

Hike hike hike. The pair of you continue on,and the snow finally seems to drop in level. That's a relief. Another Swinub bounds on by, and a Fearow lands not too far away pecking through the snow a bit with it long beak.


The entrance isn't too far away now, and you glimpse a Rattata or two scurrying around near the entrance. They seem to be waiting...

You trudge on, Gin looking out for you. There doesn't seem to be anything out here today. You begin to see alot of trails that lad through the thick snow pac and up into the entrance.

But you reach it, and the Rattata that were plying around up there scurry into a hole. Who is this strange man..? Gin climb off and stands on his own, content.

You do spot a Zigzagoon running around in all sorts of jagged lines. A warm glow emanates from deep within the cave.

The cave does not stop the cold too much, but you are glad you can rub your hands together and not feel biting wind cut across your fingers. Ichimaru seems ok, walking along all greebly like.

Ichimaru then falls flat on the grounds. You stop, and notice something blue fell on him.It stretches its head up, and slides off of Gin. It's a lil Shellos. It apologizes, and slithers away. You look up, and OMG.

They're all on the ceiling. At least 30 of them! What kinda swarm is this? And why are they up there?!?! Another one falls, landing on your head. This one is pink; and it slithers onto your shoulder, as if to say "Hello neighbor!"

A linoone pokes his head out of a hole. Shoots right back in.

Sliding the little guy off, you set him down and continue on your way, hoping no larger ones fall. Bypassing teh swarm, you reach a corridor that has a very steep embankment on one side. Peering over the edge, you see nothing but darkness, and the occasional glint of light from ice.

Gin peers down, sees nothing. But he also goes down the corridor and begins poking at the wall. The wall is noticeably squishy. It's a sleeping Prinplup.

The warm glow that was seen at the beginning of the cave is now larger from here. You also hear..chanting?

You walk over to the hole and peer over the edge, all you see though is a white tail swing around. You go back to the Glalie and tell it what you just saw.

How do I keep missing these? Sorry about that. If I post stuff for KoT and not you, then it means I didn't notice it, so if you could send me a PM or nudge me on msn, it would be appreciated. In any case...

If I have a pokedex, I'll search it for pokemon with a white tail that matches what I saw in the hole. Failing that, I'll see if Glalie has any opinions. Also, can I get a better description of the tail?

You open your pokedex and start flipping through a section on tails but you don't seem to come across the one you are looking for. You found one similar but it can't be the right one since the description the pokedex gave was a grey tail while the tail in front of you is clearly white.

You march on, until Gin grabs your leg. You stop, and Gin hops off. He looks ahead, and points in both a left and right direction. Yeap, there are two pathways, but both have a glow. Almost as if called out, a Torchic hops out of the left tunnel, and looks at you. A Charmander peers out the right, followed by 3 more.

Both don't seem to like you being there.

The tail you saw in the pokedex was that of an Onix, they have been known to sometimes adapt to their environment after generations. But this particular tail looks a lot smaller then usual.

Feeling brave, you dare march into the Torchic tunnel. Torchic runs away,and you see a light that grows stronger and stronger. You can feel the warmth of what seemed to be a fire, but no actual fire yet. Turning a corner, you walk up on a strange game. A Combusken was lighting small embers under an Empoleon's wing, and bouncing back as the Empoleon kept trying to swath them out.

The Empoleon was asleep. Mean game. But two other Combusken and three Torchic were watching and laughing.

Gin spots a tail end of a red fabric shoot down a corridor.

Up ahead, you see a flash of blond hair skate into yet another corridor to the right. To the left, you catch a glint of sky blue-and you think you head the sounds of splashing water.

Gin is already sliding toward the right though.

You both give chase, and Gin is able to move a bit faster since he's smaller He hooks a corner much sharper than you and jumps, sliding near the blond thing running away. A strange spell is cast and the thing falls on its face. Turning to face you, you see yourself face to face with a Jynx.

She is holding food, and backs away from you, not willing to share.

Ironically though, that Mean Look also caught a Froslass. Shes also kida mad she cant really leave right now, and blows an Icy wind as a warning to let her go or else.

Alakazam thanks you for your help against the Shiftry and walks over to Venus. He whispers something in her ear, then walks to the ultra ball, and enters it. Just before the teleporter kicks in, Venus tells you that Alakazam said "I hope I can be your partner again."

"Ding Dong! You're out of Safari Balls! Your Safari time is up!" You are teleported to the entrance. "Congratulations on your capture. We hope to see you again."

You nod at the two Pokemon and Gin backs away, leaving the two to tend to their own matters. You both run back and head down the other corridor to your right. You end up running down a pretty long but gradual lowering gradient.

Reaching the bottom, you spot a Spheal bouncing around, with a wet bottom. The walls seem to all be shiny sheets of ice, but one "panel" of ice moves as Gin touches it. A Bronzor floats up and flies away slowly.
