Data charges closer and closer to Tyrant as the ghost fires off a dark pulse. The blade of darkness crashes into the corrupted porygon [ -10HP Data / -5PP Tyrant ] but doesn't cause enough damage to hinder Data's resolve whatsoever. Data gets in close -- as close as it could possibly get -- and fires off a powerful spasm of electricity that overtakes Tyrant [ -15HP, +25% Par Tyrant / -10PP Data ].

Data doesn't stop with the pleasantries there, however, and fires off a charge beam that snaps Tyrant and raises its own strength once more [ -8HP Tyrant / -4PP, +10% SpA Data ]. Tyrant hisses at the mechanical 'mon before retalliating with another dark pulse [ -10HP Data / -5PP Tyrant ].

Data continues to fry Tyrant with various electric attacks [ -18HP Tyrant / -7PP Data ] while the ghost responds with the same attack he's been doing [ -10HP Data / -5PP Tyrant ].

With Tyrant down, Chaos is left to replace him with Springy, his final pokémon for this battle. Springy takes to the platform easily, driving it forward and throwing her fist into the duckbot [ -11HP Data / -5PP Springy ]. Data, however, has a sinister look in its eyes and snaps -- shooting off a USB cord that sticks Springy and slowly drains her health away. Springy tries to resist, but the drain doesn't relent [ -43HP Springy / +42HP, -25PP Data ].

Springy nearly collapses over the health loss, but with her opponent immobile, she sucks it up and rushes at it once more, draining health away to see how it likes it [ -11HP Data / +5HP, -5PP Springy ]. Data, meanwhile, analyzes the information used in that last attack and transform itself into a poison-type to lessen the damage of future fighting techniques [ -5PP, *Poison Data ].

Springy fires off a powerful ray of fighting energy that collides with the gooey porygon, dealing lessened damage [ -8HP Data / -10PP Springy ], while Data exhausts the last of its energy firing off a dark pulse, striking the psychic pig [ -16HP Springy / -6PP Data ].

Springy continues to snore, and the sound rattles the robot's technological feathers [ -4HP Data / +10HP Springy ]. Data, however, knows it's coming, and instead fires off a powerful wave of dark energy that crosses against the psypig [ -16HP Springy / -6PP Data ].

Data readies another wave, but before it can fire it off, Springy's snores get the better of it and overwhelm it completely [ -2HP Data ].

The third-generation porygon is recalled and replaced with a manlier grumpig than Springy, but she can't tell because she's asleep. Grumpypig immediately begins the battle by creating a substitute [ -10HP, -5PP Grumpypig / +10HP Substitute ] as Springy snores and snores, depleting the sub's health almost as quickly [ -4HP Substitute ].

Grumpy, with a smirk, fires off a beam of concentrated bug energy that flashes against Springy, dealing great damage [ -11HP Springy / -5PP Grumpypig ]. The snoozing pig merely snores loudly once more [ -4HP Substitute ] before awakening.

Grumpy fires off another signal beam [ -11HP Springy / -5PP Grumpypig ] as his sub crumbles to Springy's shock wave [ -2HP Substitute / -4PP Springy ].

Springy attempts to confuse his foe with a confusing grimmace, but as the staredown commences, she notes her opponent taunting her in a rude manner. Frustrated, Springy abandons her trainer's commands and throws her body forward, crashing into the manlier grumpig [ -5HP, -2PP Grumpypig / -3PP Springy ].

With continued frustration, Springy lunges forward once more [ -5HP Grumpypig / -3PP Springy ], but before she can get away, she is caught in a powerful signal beam [ -11HP Springy / -5PP Grumpypig ].

This continues [ -5HP Grumpypig / -3PP Springy ], but with a shadow ball instead of a signal beam [ -12HP Springy / -6PP Grumpypig ]. With a strong sense of relief, Springy's anger subsides.

As we enter this battle’s eleventh hour, Springy clearly appears to be circling the drain. This little hog is going to have to pull one hell of an upset out of her little bag of tricks if she wants to snag the victory out from under Grumpypig’s wee piggy hooves.

She does her best. Closing her eyes, she begins charging up a pulsating flash of light. Grumpypig’s eyes go wide as he prepares to snuff the light with a rapid Taunt, but his little lips just aren’t fast enough. The Confuse Ray jets across the arena and, with an eruption of sparks, wallops Grumpypig right in the gut. Grumpypig holds out his arms out to keep himself steady, expecting his world to go all topsy-turvy.

It doesn’t.

He blinks. Oh, right. This little hog marches to the beat of his own drum—or, should I say, his Own Tempo. Smiling, Grumpypig tells Springy that if she were sliced up into a plate of bacon, she most definitely would taste like crap. Springy's jaw drops at this cruel (if rather) bizarre insult.

Grumpypig: <-4 EP>

Springy scrunches up her eyes and attempts to cut loose with a sizzling discharge of electric current, but isn’t even able to muster up a flicker of anything even vaguely resembling a Thunder Wave. Curses. Insead, she merely bounces forth and lashes out with a minor physical strike. Grumpypig grins at this measly little blow and goes on the offensive with dual beams of green and red light. The Signal Beam certainly seems to be signaling one thing: Springy’s not long for this world.

Grumpypig: <-4 HP; -6 EP>

It ends here. Grumpypig points his chubby little piggy arms skyward and conjures up a swirling ball of black shadows. Then, with DBZ-esque poise, he hurls it at his doppelganger. Springy eats the attack right in the gut, stumbling back. He trips and falls, lying there all sprawled out, ready to be hogtied.

Springy, we hardly knew ye.
