Actually, I was envisioning the arena as though there were grass in the tent, as a traveling circus would be likely to set things up in the middle of a field somewhere.

The next round gets underway as DCM summons a rocky beast onto the field. He stomps his foot and sand begins billowing into the tent. Suddenly, the action kicks off with… woah, pie? Gosh, how unusual! Blueberry seems to be the pie du jour as Blade, Chaos and Dogfish all whip delicious blue desserts at the battlers. Zorua takes two to the face while T-Bone suffers one. Suddenly, Paralysis springs up as both battlers find their bodies becoming increasingly rigid. Inteeeense…

Zorua: <-10 HP; Par>
T-Bone: <-20 HP; Par>

T-Bone peers around at the grassy ground and decides to do some weed control. He breathes crackling flames all over the grass which catches aflame, quickly turning into a dangerous blaze. I’m sorry, in what world is that a safe idea? Suddenly, the ropes that keep the tent anchored ignite and the crackling fire travels up toward the canvas. Soon, the entire arena is transformed into a blistering inferno. Ayeun, DCM, Zorua, T-Bone, the hecklers and I are forced to desert our surroundings and flee. We watch as the tent is quickly reduced to cinders. Fortunately, our hecklers’ bottomless trunk of pies was salvaged. Phew.

Now, we find ourselves just beside scorched tent on a fresh plot of grassy earth as sand continues to blow around like mad. Zorua summons shoots to attach themselves to T-Bone, tugging the mighty beast down to the ground. He's sent slamming downward with immense forth.

Zorua: <-5 EP>
T-Bone: <-18 HP; -8 EP>

A little embarrassed after that fiasco, T-Bone nonetheless keeps his composure as he spits a glob of Toxic something-or-other at poor Zorua. As the nasty stuff begins coursing through her veins, Zorua decides to get even by engaging in a little Foul Play. She lashes out against her fellow Dark-type, dealing minimal damage as a result of the typing.

Zorua: <-8 EP; Txc>
T-Bone: <-6 HP; -5 EP>

Paralysis kicks in for both fighters in unison, rendering them immobile. Huh.

Zorua: <Can’t move!>
T-Bone: <Can’t move!>

Zorua is both battered by sand <-3 HP> and bothered by her poisoned state <-3 HP>.

Alright well we are now outside. I want you to do the same thing as before, but since we have more space, we wont be burning a tent down. So flamethrower the ground at your feet in a 360 pattern so that it becomes a ring. No grass knots. Focus Blast the rest of your moves. If by any chance you see that Paralysis renders her useless for that action, change your attack to Focus Punch.

As we enter the final handful of rounds of what has been an exciting battle, our four most prolific hecklers step up to the plate and unleash their bevy of pies. Each battler takes two the face, one blueberry and one pumpkin apiece, but neither suffers a status.

Zorua: <-18 HP>
T-Bone: <-18 HP>

Though his last attempt at gardening didn’t turn out so well, T-Bone nonetheless gives it another shot. He scorches the grass around him, rendering it withered and dead. Nonetheless, Zorua decides to go a different route and zips forward for a quick physical hit before doing an about-face and returning to her spot a few feet away.

Zorua: <-5 EP>
T-Bone: <-11 HP; -8 EP>

Suddenly, Paralysis kicks in for poor Zorua. Eyeing his foe’s moment of weakness, T-Bone begins meditating… and meditating… until… bam! The megaton Pokemon lumbers forth and unleashes a mighty Focus Punch, throwing Zorua some twenty feet until the air before she lands against the hard ground with a sickening whomp. Tyranitar lets out a triumphant roar. This guy isn’t messing around!

Zorua: <-23 HP; Can’t move!>
T-Bone: <-13 EP>

Now it’s T-Bone’s turn to find his body locking up. Zorua pulls herself up off the ground and speeds toward him with another U-turn before retreating a few feet once again. Ahh, it’s so close! Who will win?

T-Bone: <-11 HP; Can’t move!>

The Sandstorm to continues to rage against poor Zorua <-3 HP> as the Toxic mounts in intensity <-5 HP>.

It ends here! After thirty-eight rounds of inopportunely getting Frozen again and again, a Seel losing 100 HP, a circus tent burning down and many, many pies, the hecklers lob their final barrage of desserts.

Chaos and Dogfish target T-Bone with pies while DL and Blade, on the other hand, whip their pastries at Zorua. The targets crumple crumple from the sheer strength of the pie and, for a moment, it looks as though this match will end as a draw.

Then, unexpectedly, Zorua gets back up.

And that's that.
