Some hardier Flying Pokemon line the edges of the Volcano as well. A tall Pagoda stands on the Island as well, the only man-made structure here. If you fish from shore, Water Pokemon encounter rates are the same as for Tranquil Shores.

    Round TWELVE
You give your explanation to Simisear.

"Exploration? Lady, you can't just explore these parts -- it's dangerous. The pokémon up there will eat you up and spit you out. 's why I've been tasked to guard this place. Now I don't care if this little guy got hurt up there, it's gonna happen to you too if I let you just go up there."

    What's your next move, Crystal?

    Round ONE

You step out of the headquarters and into the swamp. Not even two seconds after does sweat begin pouring from your features. You're beginning to regret choosing this place of all places to start your adventure.

You sigh, but press on toward the actual swamp proper. A long boardwalk stretches over the swamp with several pokémon bathing in it to cool off, but you can only make a couple of them out:

    What's your next move, Cueball?

    Approach Hippopaotas.
    Approach Turtwig.
Ignore them and go around the swamp.
Ignore them and go along the boardwalk.

I didn’t come here to be stopped by you. I am going up this mountain, and I am going to help Calcifer. Now, either you move, or Miss, here, will make you move. You’re choice.

Miss if he attacks; earth power. If a battle persists, then use poison jab and finally drill run.

If he refuses to move (but not battle), then its up to you Miss, which move you think will get our point across best.

I’ve think you’ve mistaken me for one of those nice adventurers.

Miss, earth power on Simisear, then Aqua Tail and end with helping hand, let’s give Starstrike a boost.

Starstrike, confuse ray on Simisear after that earth power hits, then light screen on both you and Miss. Then hit Weezing with psychic with Miss’s help.

Miss D.I.Y: Earth Power @ Simisear → Aqua Tail @ Simisear → Helping Hand @ Starstrike
Starstrike: Confuse Ray @ Simisear → Light Screen → Psychic @ Weezing

    Get out of my way.

You take a look at the map -- it's a detailed picture of every zone -- even some that haven't been advertised (or, at least, advertised well). There are a few symbols on the map as well drawn on with sharpie: a bone, a feather, a tail, a stone, and a sphere -- they're drawn over various locations on the map.

    Round FOURTEEN
You keep your cool with a smirk, all the while summoning Miss and Starstrike into battle against Weezing and Simisear.

Starstike begins by staring into Simi's eyes, confusing the fiery chimp easily after he's struck by Miss' earth power. Simi comes to very quickly before he swiftly lunges at Starstrike and knocks the starfish to the ground like an acrobat. Weezing is the last up, summoning a thunderbolt from the sky to strike Star.

Simisear shakes his head, but can't come to grips with what he needs to do. As he fumbles about, Starstrike calls for a protective shield to wrap around the four pokémon in your party. Miss, meanwhile, continues to give Simisear hell by striking the fire chimp with her aqua tail. Weezing again comes to his ally's aid and fires a shadow ball to hit Miss in the gut. The damage is minimalized against your light screen.

Starstrike now feels an overwhelming power surging through its tendrils as it compresses Weezing with its mind, dealing a powerful blow. Simisear, no longer confused, retalliates with a lick to Starstrike's jewel..., while Weezing follows up with a shrilling screech.

You try not to think about the likely awful things that are happening to Snore Warrior as you look for him, and instead remind yourself that he is a very strong pokémon and is probably just sleeping in the cave after defeating every ghost pokémon he came across.

Still though, you can't help but wonder just how he got in this predicament in the first place. But you go with your intuition and chase the snore-ior into the dark cavern -- a place said to be haunted -- and no less than three feet in the cave do you manage to hear a shrill of laughter echo along the walls.

Starstrike, grab Weezing with a psychic and throw him into Simisear, then thunderwave on them both if they’re close enough, if not, just Simisear. Finish with Scald on the monkey. If you managed to paralyze them both with thunderwave the action before, use reflect on you and Miss.

Miss, smack down Weezing after he’s been thrown into Simisear, then after thunderwave, bulldoze them both if you can, if not, just Simisear. End with mega horn on Weezing.

    Starstrike: Psychic @ Weezing → Thunderwave @ Both/Simisear → Scald @ Simisear / Reflect

    Miss D.I.Y: Smack Down @ Weezing → Bulldoze @ Both/Simisear → Mega Horn @ Weezing

    Round FIFTEEN
Starstrike wastes no time and hurls Weezing into Simisear via telepathy. Once the two pokémon are together, the starfish hits them both with a weak batch of electricity that manages to paralyze both of them, albeit weakly. Simisear, despite the paralysis being weak, is struck with immobility as Weezing charges Starstrike and tackles swiftly, only to be slammed to the ground by Miss.

Miss immediately charges both Simisear and Weezing before slamming them together with her muscley arms as Simisear's paralysis grants him sweet relief -- he fires off a quick flamethrower that wraps around Miss, dealing very weak damage. Starstrike erects a reflective barrier while Miss ends the round by striking Weezing with her horn.

A frightening place where all the worst stories originate. Home to ghost and dark type pokémon, you may find a rare psychic type, but only the bravest dare tread here.

    Round SEVENTY-ONE

You decide to run away, and latch onto Bird's plummage as he carries you out of the cavern and into the outside. The laughter you heard from before echoes in your mind more and more, even though you're nowhere near the cavern.

You look above towards the moon for some relief, but even it seems to be acting all screwy. It stares at you, full. When you look away and back, it's a crescent. "WTF" doesn't even begin to describe your mood at this point.

    What's your next move, Oslo?

Don't stop staring at the moon!
    Just... leave. Seriously.

I wanna look at the moon some more. It sounds delightfully silly!

    Round SEVENTY-TWO

You gaze upon the crescent moon as it transforms into a figure you are familiar with. You're not quite certain what it is, but you know it's something -- it's something in the back of your mind and you are freaking out just trying to come to terms with it. Suddenly, the figure shoots a beam of light that collides with Big Bird, and before you know it, he's gone too.

    What's your next move, Oslo?

    Try to remember.

    Round SEVENTY-THREE

The figure laughs before disappearing outright, leaving you stranded and alone. A darkness soon envelopes you as you start looking for your white flag for which to say, "I give up, I wanna go home..."

But before you can whip it out, you feel a violent shove. And another, and another before you ultimately close your eyes and come to.

Your eyes open up, and you are no longer surrounded by blackness, laughter, or even the Grave's Yard. You're welcomed by soothing warmth and... Snore Warrior!? He laughs happily as he takes you in his bear arms -- the laughter is familiar, you've heard it before -- in your dreams? Were you dreaming!?

    "We were all dreaming, actually."

"Snore Warrior was the first to wake up, followed by me, and then Big Bird."

    Round SEVENTY-FOUR

    You ask about Cresselia.

"That bird couldn'tve gone far. She left immediately after I woke up, sure, but you guys weren't under for very long -- a few minutes, tops. She was heading west, back towards Shinsuke."

To Shinsuke we go! I choose to recall Love and Big Bird. Snore Warrior, you'd better get some quick stretches in, because we've got some Surfing to do!

    Round SEVENTY-FIVE
You recall Love and Big Bird as Snore Warrior takes you to the edge of the island and plops into the ocean. Feeling like a salty sea captain, you wish you had a matching hat as Snore Warrior continues to charge through the ocean like a zubat out of Mt. Moon.

After nearly twenty minutes of forward peddling, you spot something on your twelve -- just about a mile forward.

    Charge!
    Take a bre--nah, I'm just kidding, CHARGE!

    Round SEVENTY-SIX
You charge forward from atop your mount until the figure becomes larger and larger -- how you're able to outspeed it is anyone's guess, but you pull it off. You drive forward until it becomes obvious that what you're chasing is what you've been chasing this entire time:

You really are a persistant child.

The words echoed in your head over and over -- it's like she didn't even say anything whatsoever -- how did she know you were chasing her!?

    What's your next move, Oslo?

    Challenge her.
