Round ONE
We enter the inevitable final round of the Survival Tournament, allowing for both MeLoVeGhOsTs and Oslo to revitalize their battle-fatigued pokemon with a pair of Hi-Potions.

With their wounds healed (somewhat), the battle officially begins. Invertarig, naturally being faster than his foe begins the first round by firing off a fizzling bolt of sharp lightning, engulfing Athene for some great damage. Athene winces in pain, deciding that she'd rather not deal with that kind of torment again, and erects a protective barrier around herself.

Invertarig continues the assault, this time with an energy ball. However, the orb of grass energy connects with less wow than the previous attack. Athene smirks as her light screen flickers, having absorbed half of the attack's power quite easily. The hippo then retalliates with a powerful surge of searing hot water that crashes against Invertarig, burning his body as it connects.

Invertarig grows frustrated as he attempts to nurse his burn to no avail. Giving up, he summons a grim shadow ball. The ball uncontrollably slams into Athene, exploding upon impact. Again, her light screen absorbs a great deal of the hit. Athene chuckles to herself before shooting another scalding torrent of hot water.

Round TWO
Invertarig, tired of Athene's shenanigans, stamps his hooves into the ground and strikes Athene with another electric attack -- this one is much weaker than the last, however, and merely causes Athene's muscles to seize up. She barely notices the paralysis, however, and instead shoots the psychic quadraped with a beam of green bug energy.

INVERTARIG : -5PP, -1HP, -12HP // +25% Par, -6PP : ATHENE

Invertarig absorbs the hit before gathering his response. He shudders for a second before charging at the slowbro with a moderate speed, and sinks his sharp teeth into her menacingly. It takes her a moment to register the pain, but she retalliates by engulfing the arena floor in seawater for just a few moments, washing her attacker away.

Invertarig picks himself up out of the lakebed floor and sheds off the water like a dog would. With a few more seconds of preparation, he throws himself at Athene once more, sinking his ravenous teeth into her pink, rubbery flesh. Athene once more registers it late before sending the girafarig flying with a powerful, icy blizzard. Invertarig nays in pain before realizing he's been frozen stiff! Not a good look for a giraffe, but fortunately the (still) wet arena floor seems to be slowly melting away the ice at his hooves.

INVERTARIG : -6PP, -1HP, -12HP, +75% Frz // -12HP, -11PP, Light Screen faded : ATHENE

[Oslo]

I had a sneaking suspicion that Blizzard would end up freezing me...

Okay, Invertarig, this sucks. Try to melt the ice with a Thunderbolt. Follow with two Shadow Balls.

Alright, let's use this moment to hit him with a close up Zap Cannon. Then freeze the remaing water again with another Blizzard, trap it! Finish with Signalbeam.

Round THREE
Invertarig slowly tries to regain movement as Athene seizes (pun!) the opportunity to strike him with a powerful blast of electric energy. The giraffe winces in pain, seizing as the current courses through his veins tremendously. But he powers through it enough to redirect the electricity right back at Athene.

INVERTARIG : -8PP, -1HP, -12HP, +25% Par // -11PP, -15HP : ATHENE

Invertarig manages to finally break free from his icycle prison just in time to be struck by Athene's second blizzard. Fortunately for the giraffe, the cold winds don't stick this time, and Invertarig is free to strike back with a swift shadow ball.

INVERTARIG : -75% Frz, -12HP, -7PP, -1HP // -13HP, -8PP : ATHENE

Invertarig attempts to fight back, but his muscles lock up. Athene laughs at her opponent until she realizes that she herself has been unable to attack either. They both curse their respective paralysis.

INVERTARIG : *par* -1HP // *par* : ATHENE

Protect + Signalbeam! Signalbeam.

Use Me First when it just openly attacks you; and Protect against Suckerpunch or other Protect or Agility combo's.

If you're unsure of what to do, just protect. Signalbeam him when he's paralyzed, though.

Round FOUR
Invertarig prepares for his final attack, and Athene, just knowing what's about to happen, alters her own course of action. A much larger shadow ball is created and shot forth, striking Invertarig before he could throw his off and exploding. The force of said explosion causes the girafarig laugh uncontrollably before flinging his own shadow ball right back at Athene, knocking her over.

Invertarig stands over his fallen opponent victoriously, and the battle, and thus tournament, goes to Oslo!
