"The high priest has turned everyone against humans using mind control," he said, "but he couldn't control a lot of us. We ended up getting locked up in different warehouses."

"My pallet's probably located at the corner-most building. The high priest was worried about my abilities with it, so he kept us as far apart as possible. As for your team," he pauses for a moment, "I'm uncertain."

You follow the painter's advice and make for the corner-most building in the terrace. As you charge through, you feel a cold sensation on your back. You don't worry about it for a few seconds too many before an ice beam forms and stabs you.

You pull yourself together and call out your once loyal ice pokemon, trying to plead with him. Alexander instead just fires off another powerful ice beam. Krok, shoves you out of the way, taking the hit himself.

"You're an idiot," he says, still in pain, "any pokemon you meet here is most likely brainwashed. Especially pokemon that aren't dark-types!"

You let that information sink in for a moment as Umbreon kicks sand into Alexander's eyes, giving you a chance to make your escape. The three of you duck between two buildings to hide and recooperate.

Umbreon steps forward, this time, and starts explaining, "We're uncertain of who the leader is at this time. Sources point to the psychic pig," he hesitates, "but he doesn't seem powerful enough to enslave an entire village with his mind."

"He's gotta be a patsy," Krok interrupts, "someone stronger's gotta be pullin' the strings here."

Umbreon leads the way, taking you to another warehouse building, motioning for you to open the door since he lacks opposable thumbs.

Cautiously you open the door, hoping not to be blindsided along the way. With great luck, you don't find any pokemon on the other side... but Smeargle's eyes light up upon seeing his pallet!

He quickly grabs it, but this triggers a loud alarm.

Smeargle joins the party!
