New pokemon game being out in June?

It is my first post in a while. Apologies for the short topic but I just want to know on what is this game about and what is there to look forward to. Anyway I just got off this link from Facebook. At first glance, it does seems like an epic mix being feudal Japan and Pokemon. Other then that, I am lazy to dig out more information from the net. Hence I will be hoping that you dudes will fill me in.

Pokemon Conquest?

If it is indeed going to be released in June, I should be able to squeeze in some time between Diabolo 3/ Guild War 2, 9gag/ 4chan and work. If this game has any multiplayer platform function, it will be great. Presumably a good reason for me to stick around more often.

Yeah, I preordered this game and it looks pretty cool.
Apparently from what I heard (mostly serebii, lol), it's a pokemon crossover of the "nobunaga's ambition" series of games. basicaaly, you're this warlord dude that's trying to conquer this new region of "Ransei" using pokemon.
It kind of reminds me of the "Fire Emblem" series of games, based on the battle system.

I wish there would be an announcement for Pal regions as I would love the game and prefer not to import. I presume its coming here as it is being classified but I just want confirmation. Basically a strategy game.

I don't think it has much multiplayer use. There is a wireless mode but that appears to be for two players. The game does make use of wi-fi though, basically episodes that reveal some of the story. Not a big feature. The main thing are the passwords that gives you access to more pokemon.

I'm going to waste money on it anyway.

Edit: As with btpoke it has been compared to Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics. But neither of those mean much to me.

Oh wait if the main character is exactly what we see in the site, we would be pitting a useless Eevee against a whole bunch of other Warlords that actually had legendaries as their sidekicks. =.=;

I believe we can only choose one instead of a party of six right? Then great lord, we are already screwed before the game even starts.

Anyways, I'm very found of the idea of this scenario and can't wait for it. Not even if I have zero time for playing it. Yes, I buy games but don't have time to play them.

And thanks for the release information! I wish it was in Europe as well. Let me know if more info appears! Must also take some time myself to keep track of the releasing process.

I haven't even have time to finish playing off Black. Much less say to touch any of the PC games with the exception of MW3. And trust me very soon, I will be adding either Diabolo 3 or Guild War 2 to that list.

Okay back to the topic, is there any sites I can dig information off from? Probably helps to see if this one is worth purchasing.

Well, i've seen glimpses of playthroughs of the japanese version, and you do get allies to help you on your little quest.

Sorry I'm late, but it's basically a strategy game that takes place in Ancient Japan. I'm under an impression that you'll have to conquer Nippon with Pokemon there. Oba Nobunaga was a famous Japanese daimyo.

Hmm, think Final Fantasy Tactics but Pokemon style. Setting in ancient Feudal Japan. Other than that I can't tell you more. As for video link wise, try searching it under 'Pokemon Conquest' in YouTube.

Nope not 3DS! My DS is working fine. Glad they made it DS instead.

Sorry for the necro, but I think I figured out the European release date! I went to a shop and they looked from a computer and said it's coming on the 28th of July. So exciting!

I finally got the game the day before yesterday. So far so good, the turns are based on months and I'm done with May, the 1st year. The main character has the Eevee and his beautiful female companion has Jigglypuff.

Although I think I'm going to play my Pokemon White through first.

Yeah it's been released, about a month ago or so. You should pick it up, for it is quite the amazing game. Fact is, I'm playing it right now and it is HIGHLY recommended to spend time building forces and creating perfect links. Makes life easier in the postgame, that's for sure.

Well if you eventually buy a copy, or get frustrated and import one, then it will be great fun, but it can get pretty long depending on how close to 100% completion you want to get, considering that the main story is around 20-30% of the entire game.
