As Paralysis locks up Munch for the time being, she can only look on in dismay as Ha-ohmaru jaunts over to the Wildfire Orb and hoists it off its pedestal. Suddenly, its accompanying suit of armour comes to life and begins spraying Munch's pretty pink sack with hot flames. After a moment, it burns to a crisp.

Ha-ohmaru keeps up the heat and clocks Munch in the jaw with a health-sucking Drain Punch. Munch nurses her wounded face and begins batting her long, luxurious Munchlax lashes at Ha-ohmaru. Daaamn, that girl is fine...

Ha-ohmaru: <+8 HP; -6 EP; Atr>
Munch: <-16 HP; -4 EP>

Though he's certainly Attracted to Munch, Ha-ohmaru clings to just enough lucidity to blast her with a concentrated onslaught of chi energy. Munch, meanwhile, uses Psychic energy to put all the orbs in... um... oh yeah. Instead of focusing the Psychic on the orbs, she instead directs it at Ha-ohmaru. She laughs in delight as the Gallade begins punching himself in the face. His Special Defence drops even further.

It doesn't really matter which Fire-type attack was used. Incinerate destroys berries in the game, but in ASB, so long as the bag is set on fire it's going to burn up regardless.

Ha-ohmaru goes in for another powerful slice-'n'-dice attack with a mighty Psycho Cut. The attack lands a crit and, once again, Munch's attempt to Work Up her Paralysis is rendered moot as her body locks up.

Ha-ohmaru goes in for a second blade-driven attack but ultimately concludes he's a lover, not a fighter. As he flexes his guns and makes horrid kissy faces at Munch, the tub o' lard uses an erratic rolling and/or climbing motion to launch her body into her opponent. Well, it worked, certainly!

As Munch is left without moves to execute, Ha-ohmaru closes out the round with another speed wave of negative energy. Kablammy!

Round Lucky Number 7 begins with equal parts Attraction and Paralysis. Ha-ohmaru begins giving Munch a sensual backrub (fingers crossed this stays PG) and comments on Munch's statuesque appearance. In reality, the statuesque appearance is simply the result of her whole body getting locked up with Paralysis. Ho-hum.

Ha-ohmaru: <Can't move!>
Munch: <Can't move!>

Ha-ohmaru suddenly closes his eyes as he tries to focus his mind despite Munch's distracting allure. Munch tries to minimize her ecological footprint by Recycling, but even with her good intentions it's still a lost cause. She tries to Recycle the ice shield into something entirely different, but it's not hers to Recycle and she probably wouldn't have the means to do so even if it was.

Suddenly, Ha-ohmaru springs to life. The Gallade crosses the battlefield in one gazelle-like leap and clobbers Munch with one hell of a punch. The Munchlax launched toward the ceiling, falls back down the ground and then... does nothing else. She's fainted.

Ash recalls his dearly departed Munchlax and brings a newbie out to play: hey, look, a Heatmor! Woohoo! I've never reffed one of those things before! (I prolly should be less excited... but, well, yeah.) Thoroughly fatigued at this point, Ha-ohmaru finds his next Earthquake takes every ounce of strength he can muster. While he works at conjuring up shockwaves, Antz (aka. a severely underrated movie) starts breathing hot flames at the ground. He's just barely able to propel himself into the air as Ha-ohmaru's Earthquake starts shakin' things up... but since the move is known as Fire Spin is not Fire Wind Tunnel, Antz comes back down to earth shortly thereafter. At least he evaded the Earthquake, though!

Except now he's getting scorched alive. So. Thassa downside.

Ha-ohmaru: <-4 HP fatigue>
Antz: <-3 HP; -1 HP FS; -2 EP>

Ha-ohmaru suddenly flings a chunk of mud at the spinning cyclone of flames. Like a (weird) superhero, Antz bursts through the wall of fire (ow) and zips past the mud toward his opponent. The Aerial Ace makes contact as Antz whips Ha-ohmaru across the face with his tongue. Bitch, you just got anteater slapped!

No longer contained in his tornado of fiery goodness, Antz looks on as Ha-ohmaru sends a fresh onslaught of shockwaves his way. Ahh! Seismology! Makeitstop! Antz falls to the ground and then tells Ha-ohmaru that he looks like a Power Ranger... the gay one!! Whichever one that was!! But one of them was gay!! And that's the one Ha-ohmaru looks like!! Ohsnap!!

it's a tornado of fire, TORNADO, I was kinda picturing it looking like a djinn while fighting
also I'm pretty sure this strat was used in the anime at some point... not sure when tho...
also sunny day then fire spin and finish with a inferno, if it uses earthquake then use aerial ace to dodge

As Round 9 begins, Ha-ohmaru is still feeling awfully fatigued... but hey, at least the sun is shining all of a sudden? It's a perfect day to turn oneself into stone and then clobber one's opponent with a megaton, full-bodied tackle! Which is what Ha-ohmaru does. And he loves it. And Antz doesn't.

Antz: <-17 HP; -4 EP>

Ha-ohmaru decides to rinse and repeat, except no actual rinsing is performed. He performs another Stone Edge and remains in close proximity to the anteater so that the subsequent Fire Spin spewed out by Antz catches both Pokemon within its swirling vortex. The two Pokemon remain trapped in close quarters as flames whip around them at all sides.

Ha-ohmaru: <-10 HP; -4 HP fatigue; -3 HP FS>
Antz: <-17 HP; -4 HP self-inflicted; -2 EP; -2 HP FS>

Trapped in their little fiery coffin, the two Pokemon struggle to battle with such little room to maneuver. Ha-ohmaru deals a hard-rock body slam of a Stone Edge as Antz releases a burst of fire that leaves Ha-ohmaru with a pesky Burn... and oh, look at that, he left his Solarcaine at home. Well. Nuts.

And look, all this heat has finally caused the Ice Shield to melt away... not that, uh, it's really been doing a whole lot.

Still enclosed in their cosy little furnace of flames, Ha-ohmaru and Antz keep up the heat (har har har) as they issue their next set of commands. Ha-ohmaru delivers a good ol' fist-to-the-gut which causes Antz to double over in pain. Ha-ohmaru twinkles as his stamina is raised... only to then the rest of it thanks to a gust of hot wind care of Antz. Nuts.

After nearly taking down three Pokemon, the beast known as Ha-ohmaru finally falls. *military salute*

In what has to be record time, we reach the final round of our lovely little skirmish. The Gym Leader summons his second and final Pokemon, which I can only assume is some kind of reject from Satan's butcher shop. Antz spits out a dainty spurt of flames through the Fire Spin, scorching Yoshitaru's armour mildly, but the dark knight valiantly pushes forth. He's consumed by shadows and reappears inside the spiralling column of flames before lashing out with one deft motion. Antz's legs buckle and he goes down hard.

Yoshitaru flexes his guns and winks. What a goof.

And that's that. DL defends his Gym and nets himself six points in the process while Ash takes home three. I also get six. All in all, a memorable fight. Don't fall off that horse, Ash.
