It's almost as if is trying to keep you away. You reach a mighty pillar and through your blinded vision, seen that the light was emanating from it-its center, to be specific. Buzzer growls, and you realize that you aren't alone.

"So. You've come to free it from its self inflicted prison. Well, try as you might, you can't."

If only you could see what the hell said that.

Forget movement. You recall Kratos, releasing Auron in its place. Auron jumps up and crouches in mid-air. This allows Auron to suction in energy and slam it down on the ground in a forceful punch. The energy forces the ground to ripple in all directions very rapidly and a strange mound of dirt piles up from the west. Arbok shoots from the ground, visibly pained.

You don't even hesitate. Great Ball in hand, you sidearm it right at Arbok's hood. It bounces off the purple behemoth and the instant suction begins. In no time at all, the ball lands and begins its eventful wobble to determine this creatures fate.

Lot of switchbacks to go, but there is another Pokemon at the top of the 4th switchback, looking left and right at two paths. You rush to meet it, but are out of breath when you reach her.

What do you do?

Excellent, what a relief that I still caught the Arbok after thinking my plan in the last round could have knocked it out...just curious, but what's the Arbok's gender? Crossing my fingers it's a male, but I can go for a female too if that was the case here (though I'm strongly crossing my fingers the second Pokemon I catch here is a male).

Time to make an escape. You look to Kratos and release Auron again. You have a long hike ahead of you.

You begin the trek out of the verdant jungle with little to no encounters, and end up on a trail. A signpost reads.

You head north, and march on toward the Wastelands. You reach the wastelands, and note another signpost. The post tells you of the place you seek and its northwest. A Vullaby watches and sqwaks as you march through, stepping on old bones that have since lost their usefulness.

A lone Sawsbuck watches you, its antlers trying to bud with the oncoming spring. You march on, and right when you reach the aforementioned Grave's yard, you sit down to take a break. That's a heck of a trek.

You look in the gated community, and immediatly see a Drifloon floating around humbly. A Poochyena sniffs an open grave.

Catching your breath, you ask this Pokemon about Mr Bond. The Pokemon turns around to look at you and your two fellows, before digging completely out of the ground. The striped croc look back up the mountain and replies with a hint of anguish in his voice.

"Yeah yeah. Bigshot up at the top. Still throwing that raver. Kids can't sleep with all that noise. Wish he would just shut up and go away. He just moved here cause his island sank...or so he says."

The temptation for sight is too much. You dash toward the sound of the voice, and in 15 steps, you reach out for something. Anything. You feel warmth all around you for a split second, and then a frigid chill that almost rips you from head to toe. But, as per the voices promise, you are able to open your eyes and see white. White whipping around you, but you see grey mixed into the white .

You look down at your hands, and see blurred forms of your fingers. Your sight was restoring itself, but it would take a few before you had complete sight. You look around, but you don't see Buzzer by your side. In fact, all you can see are two large yellow orbs spaced very close together.

All of a sudden, the white wash vanishes, and plunges you right into darkness....except for those yellow...eyes. The glow is so tremendous that you make out a blurred form....and it's definitely not what you expected.



...Can't be good. Can't be good at all...

What do you do?

Athene obliges and raises both hands before vanishing in a flash. When you, Xeroxx and Athene look around, it's a sight that you are unfamiliar with.

Bodies litter the area, along with mounds of rinds and cores. You count possibly 15 passed out Mareep, 135 apple cores, 7 Gligars, 2 Onix, 4 Karrablast and a Skarmory along with 6 cantaloupe rinds and what looks to be a bunch of berry twigs.

But there is also a trackway leading away from the top of the mountain. The footprints are joined halfway by another pair.

What do you do?

1) Follow the tracks?
2) Wake them up?
3) Head back down!

You are hot on the trail of footprints, and you see they lead to a narrow trail. Up ahead, you already hear what sounds like heavy thuds against some sort of construct.

You and Xeroxx edge closer, until you can hear the thuds grow in tensity. Words can be made out as well.

"Well, maybe *hic* ya shoulnd't nserveem sumuch!"

"Hush! They challenged me! I didn't challegend them to teh Suprumerberry challenge...."

Three more thuds reverberate through the upper part of the mountain. You peer over and note a Rhyperior and a Lucario at standing in front of a massive set of doors. The Rhyperior is slamming its macelike tail into the door, but the door stands tall, as if it was never struck.

Athene pops a berry she found on the ground, in her mouth.

What do you do?

1) Watch?
2) Interrupt?
3) Head back down?

You scream. You literally scream for Buzzer...and you get no reply. Those eyes turn to you, and the wings barely twitch, but you know it's planning something. Its gaze turns from you to down the path you came, and you look back, hoping for either Raff or Boom...whm you now conveniently remember you left behind to hold off that weirdo chasing you...

that weirdo who had a Machop...kinda like the scorched Machop who just jumped into the area with you. It stands its ground as the mystic Ice creature stares it down.

"Ryan! Don't you dare fight it!"

You look over and rub your eyes. You make out a figure wearing what seems to be a blue onesie, but you note its slightly puffy. Probably an insulated coat. Upon spying the new human, Kyurem finally reacts, bellowing in a screech so powerful that it floors the three of you and splits the cavern you are in. It begins to flap and tries to head out.

"NO! DON'T LEAVE AGAIN KYUREM!"

You watch as the mystic beast heads toward the sky, ebfore a strange buzzing hits your ears. Before you can even blink, you're enveloped in coloful petals and then thrust in the air. You smell the searing scent of scorched earth, and you realize that Buzzer has you in his arms. Your vision sharpens as you leave the cavern-obscenities barely reaching your ears from that strange fellow.

Kyurem is not flying fast, you can easily overtake him, and Buzzer seems hell bent on it-as the weather is freezing around you with every minute.

What do you do?

1) Fire!
3) Attack that fool below?
2) Make sure you can see?

And so you stroll, not paying any real attention to the light. You keep trekking, and step on a grave. It gives way, and you end up falling in a shallow pit. You groan and look around. There are knobbed pieces of what look to be...eggshells all around. You then hear grunts all around you.

The small creatures all poke their heads up out of the dirt and stare at you.



Then in unison.

"OM NOM NOM O\/\/\/\/\/\/O!!!"

"You're nevvr gunna bust it opn!" says the Lucario as it swallows another berry.

"Hush. I can gets it. I just gotta put my back into it."

The beast of solid girth Slams that door with all its weight and shatters the doors off their hinges. You hear the door echo deep into the cavern that they opened.

"See! Now stop eatng all our berries. It's your turn!"

"Ok ok." the Lucario replies, and stands in front of the entrance. You note its using its Ki powers to create two spheres of blue energy. The energy act like lights but it also acts as a link to..whatever it is they were looking for.

You look around the now desolated area, and see a ratted piece of paper. Athene spots a Kling at the edge of the entrance way, barely visible against the darkness.

What do you do?

1) Follow?
2) Leave them be?
3) Head back down!

Right. Get in close and whack it with a Dragon tail. Pull back quick after and deliver a Dragonsbreath, and then drop me to your feet, so you can strike with a Dragon claw.

Meanwhile, since Machop and the hoodie guy are here, I shall call out for Raff to sleep powder the lot of them... She shouldn't be too far behind.

I'm going to try and climb out...but if the Larvitar group proves to be a threat, I'm going to have Auron try to keep them at bay with a barrage of rapid fire Aura Spheres while I continue to climb.

You go for the gusto, not sure where the rest of your able bodied crew might be. If they're even able-bodied...

No time to worry about that now. You hold onto Buzzer and point for the frost giant. He nods and flies closer and closer to the void of a dragon. Kyurem looks down, and receives what is probably its first hit in ages, a strong Draconic whiplash mark now adorning his head armor. He bellows in anguish, and Buzzer flaps as hard as it can, finally surpassing the flier. It's good timing too, as you see ice literally slam below you! You look round and notice you and Buzzer are the only two out of the Chasm-which has now been Glaciated over by Kyurem...wingbeats?

That's why Buzzer was flying so hard, he was trying to fly out!


Keeping distance, the Flygon fires off a Dragonbreath to try and curtail the cold a little. It's effective to a point. Where as once, Kyurem was interested in its own endeavors, its sights were now locked on you. You barely have time to get your bearings together, when a chilling beam shoots right past your head. It struck Buzzer's left set of wings, but Buzzer made sure to collide with the icedrake and slash at its chest. Kyurem fells backward, pulling Buzzer with it. You barely have time to jump into the emptiness of the air as you watch the two dragons collide on the ice.

You hurry up and regain your feet, sliding over to where they crashed. Only now Kyurem's head slowly rises out of the crater. Fire billows around it and the beast roars in anguish. You look down, to see a massive fiery stream creating a barrier as well as rapidly melting the ice. In the center of the fiery shield are Buzzer and Boom!

What do you do?

1) Jump down?
3) Continue the fight?
2) Find that plant of yours?
4) Confront Kyurem?

Not sure what to do about all of these hungry Larvitars, you try to be diplomatic.

Who's diplomatic with babies? They all lunge for you and bite at your legs, gumming at you with their as of yet toothless gums. You turn around and try to climb out, only to see one go flying off your back via an Aura Sphere. It lies still, obviously overwhelmed. The others all back off and go crawl toward their brethren, wondering why it doesn't move.

You quickly make it out of there, and quietly make distance between you and the Larvitar pen. It isn't long before you cross paths with a Gothita.

The Psychic looks at you, and then puts on its baseball cap, before walking north.

1) Follow after?
2) Head to a new place?
3) Start some trouble?

Buzzer and Boom are ready at a moment's whim; lowering into the glacier as Kyurem flies up. You dole out an order for Raff, and then look around. Boom and Buzzer look around as well....but Raff isin't there? But you were sure you smelt her earlier.

The lapse in judgment gives Kyurem time to cast another Glaciate. Buzzer books it out the hole in time, but Boom stays his ground, and deals with the ice as best he can. His field shrinks to barely around his own body but, he staves through the chilling effects and manages to get out of the pit as well. But it's obvious its starting to tax him a great deal.

Not to mention that there are footsteps and hoofbeats behind you. You turn to see that jerk on his Rapidash, Machop sitting front and center.

"Stop now, or we will put you down!"

Why is everyone attacking you?

A second alter, something runs up and kicks Auron!



"Oh not this time. I may have missed the first group that ran off with my snozzberry bush to the north, and the Huckleberry group to the south, but NO MORE! I CAUGHT YOU! Give them BACK!"

You sneak down and reach a hallway. Beyond the hallway, you feel that there is something amiss. The air is thick and stale. Xeroxx turns a shade of grey almost instinctively, and Athene ambles along silently. You all stand by a wooden pillar, just as another bellow is heard.

Oddly enough, you hear what sounds to be cheering. It's faint, but it's there. You look around and notice there is a old wooden door with lights flashing from below it.

What do you do?

1) Look around your area a bit more...
2) Kick in the door, waving the 44.
3) Run down the hallway?

Oh great...a Nuzleaf.

I'm going to tell the Nuzleaf I didn't steal anything from it, and that I don't take things here unless a Pokemon is totally okay with letting me take or borrow something, such as the honey a Vespiquen let me use one time to heal a couple of my Pokemon on a previous quest (remember that one, DarkestLight? You reffed it; it was my very first one)...if I can get the Nuzleaf to believe me in that I'm telling the truth, I'll help it find one of the groups of thieves...if it doesn't believe me though, I'll have Auron use his aura, to see if he can convey the truth to the Nuzleaf somehow.

You furiously turn your gaze away from the voidragon and scream at the man who's been chasing you all damn day. Your tone seems to have any effect on his demeanor as he hops off his horse The Machop grins slyly as the man looks at the dragon.

"It's not moving."

You turn back to see that in fact, Kyurem is floating there, waiting for something to occur. You take a side step and look back to the man who has now turned to the horse and opened up a saddlebag. A large case is pulled out and he kneels to the icy ground. The case is popped open a a few tubes and switches can be seen amidst removable cylinders.

Buzzer lands next to you just then, seething from the chill. Boom comes closer to help out, and then you see that this guy was out for keeps. A large weapon of sorts was now fully assembled in his hands, and Kyurem seemed mighty interested in it.

"You might wanna duck, I'm planning on blowing Kyruem to pieces."

What do you do?

2) Attack Kyurem while its still there?
3) Where's Raff?

Xeroxx understands. You all creep to the door, before pulling it open a tad. Behind it, you hear a roar of cheers and raucous applause, and what sounds like...fighting. Xeroxx vanishes in a swath of color, and looks around quietly.

He runs out, panting for breath-a strange shade of grey. In short-there seems to be a ring, and Pokemon of all shapes and sizes are sitting and standing around it and cheering. Two pokemon are in the center, and they are fighting.

Basically an underground fighting ring, but something about it seems...different.

Suddenly, the light under the door vanishes. Somethng large is coming through

Really? This guy just wants to smash Kyruem into non-existance? Not while you're around. You dive at the fellow as he manages to fire off what seems to be a superheated ball of plasma! Your kick lands home, and the grip on his gun loosens immensely.

The gun falls to the side as you two wrestle it out, and it might have been a pin for you if he didn't kick you in the chest in order for you to get off. Now you both are wheezing for air as the plasmatic strike is repelled by a thin but potent ice attack from the dragon. It turns its attention to the gun, and bellows at it, before building up a massive sphere of destructive draconic intention.

Buzzer finally reappears and picks you up, along with Boom who managed to finally melt it way free of the ice. As you both shoot skyward, you look around for Raff, but your Vileplume is still missing. Furthermore, the fools' horse picked up the gun in its mouth and stands over the idiot. Kyurem fires off the blast and all you can see is a brilliance of light for the moment.

As the sheen from the ice finally calms down, you look at the aftermath. Ice shards lie everywhere, and the guy, his horse, or Machop are nowhere to be seen. Nor is Kyurem, but the sky is glistening with what seemed to be water vapor that is freezing instantly for a few moments...

What do you do?

1) Examine the sky?
2) Look for Raff
3) Look for the guy?
4) Get the hell out of the tundra!

You pick a direction, and it happens to be...south. Great. As you start walking, the little plant starts talking.

"I grow all sorts of berries. Some are tart, some are sweet. The bandits that live here all seem to care about the sour flavored juice I make from one specific batch of berries. I toil endlessly, and all they do is take away my hard work. So, besides some other things, they took almost all my stock of Apicot berries."

You stop listening as your hike takes you to the end of the Graveyard and out toward what seems to be...trees? Who knew there was a wooded area so close to the graveyard?

1) Trudge on?
2) Ditch the talking sprouthead?

You grab Xeroxx's hand, kneeling to do so. Athene grabs your free hand and Xeroxx's free hand, and you three move to the opposite side of the way the door should swing open. Chris changes color to match with the darkness, and you then notice Athene starting to blend away. Soon enough the feeling of invisibility cloaks you. Just in time too, that door barrels open and that massive Rhyperior storms out. His body is steaming, as if he was hit with many a fiery attack, but he's chortling his lungs out.

"Whoo! What'd I tell you buddy! Few more of those, and we'll have so many berries, life'll be a breeze!"

"Yeah, well I'm still in too. These guys are really good though!" said that Lucario that you also saw earlier. Assorted other creatures piled out, some you may have never seen before. They all seemed to cool off, but the room was still as excited as ever.

If only you could get in unseen and figure out what was going o..

"Hey. What's that smell?"

People turn, and you lock eyes on a smaller fellow. He looks directly to where you three are and sniffs.

"Smells like water."

Everyone looks over, and laughs. "We're underground, Timmy! Of course you would smell water! Now let's get back in and decide this thing. I wanna smash K.F. to smithereens and be the new champion!" The group all laugh it off and file back in, Lucario heading in last. As it wipes it's brow, it takes a moment to look over to where you all are crouched. A few sniffs, and he shrugs.

"Yeah, Smells like a Slowbro. Weird." He jumps in the room, and shuts the door behind him.

You all exhale audibly, realizing how close that was.

What do you do?

1) Go in!
2) Run down the hallway?
3) Leave this denizen?

I'll keep trudging on with the Nuzleaf, but I'm also going to ask it if it grew any Cheri Berries, Oran Berries, or Sitrus Berries before this theft happened, as those are the 3 berries that I think I'd be able to make the best use of if I'm totally successful in helping the Nuzleaf out here.

You look around frantically, as Buzzer takes note of the water pattern that is disappearing slowly. Realizing that Raff may be far far back when Buzzer first picked you up and flew off, you instinctively begin to trudge that way.

Boom however, stops you with a noticeable flare. You turn to look at him and wonder just what the hell it's doing. The fire around you seems to have no rhyme or rhythm, until Buzzer scoops you up and flies high enough for you to look down at it all.

The fire is in the shape of that buttturd with the Rapidash. You turn to Boom, demanding an explanation. A second and third Fire Flare go up,..and land on other sections of the newly formed glacial sheet. In one scene, you see the Machop and what looks to be a fiery flame representation of Raff behind dragged off. The second is of the guy, tying Raff to something.

So Raff was taken hostage by that guy.

What do you do?

1) Go after Kyurem if you can?
2) Look for Raff?
3) Look for the guy?
4) Get the hell out of the tundra!

"Hrm, some Sitrus berries, yes. But I work with Chilan and Strib berries, as they are rare and seem to grow in my workshop. Apicots were a new product and all of a sudden, these thieves showed up and robbed them all."

You nod as you enter the woods, and instantly feel the air change. Almost immediately, you realize you are being watched. But no eyes appear. Auron and Kratos are on guard. Everyone's pace slows as the Nuzleaf points ahead.

"I know they went this way. But for how far, is unknown."

1) Trudge on?
2) Formulate a plan?
3) Come back when it's light?

You make the call. Athene and Xeroxx behind you, you pull the door open a smidge. Xeroxx blasts in and becomes "invisible" again, standing against a deeply brown colored wall. You open it a bit more and Athene wriggles in-barely (she needs to drop a few...). Lastly, you creep in and make sure to link hands with your cohorts, so you all vanish under the color scheme.

You shut the door quietly by leaning against it and then stoop down. Looking in this room, you see that you are at the far end of a massive ring. Pokmeon of all builds and sizes are in here, cheering on two fighters that are in the center of the ring. The two seem to be giving it their all- a Graveler versus a Donphan. Over to the eastern side is a massive chair, draped in silk robes that are opaque-but you have a feeling someone is sitting behind there, watching this awfully brutal battle.

"GO MAN! WIN ME SOME BERRIES!" A obviously intoxicated Hitmonchan screams from 3 feet away. Pokemon cheer on, and the Donphan revves up, before blasting the Graveler back. You realize the Pokemon fighting are intoxicated too-bringing the danger level of this place from high to extreme.

What do you do?

1) Jump in the ring?
2) Try to sneak through the aisles?
3) Try to peek behind the silk curtains?

If only there was a Cheri Berry or even a Lum Berry here, as I'd really like to help Kratos get over its paralysis before I end up in another battle, just incase it is the go-to Pokemon I would have to use...for now, I'll keep trudging on with the Nuzleaf to see what happens next.
