Paralysis ain't your friend, but you try to cope as best as you can. You start galloping circles around Cobalion in hopes that the movement will keep your body limber enough to fight off the Paralysis. As you run around, Cobalion has an entirely different strategy: he kneels in the middle of the battlefield and begins to Rest. His body begins to restore itself.

You use this opening to strike. You pair another Bulldoze with a Rock Slide, attacking Cobalion with both seismic and geological awesomeness. Suddenly, Cobalion starts murmuring in his Sleep. He suddenly douses you in Toxic gunk, leaving your body pained and poisoned. He follows it up by Honing his Claws against the rocky ground. Two of his parameters rise and he continues to Sleep.

The Toxic begins to burn, but only a little bit. So far.

With a desire to end these shenanigans, you Double Team... or at least you try to. Paralysis rears its ugly head, rendering you unable to do much of anything for the time being. Meanwhile, Cobalion uses another Sleep Talk. He creates a Protective bubble around himself, which does a whole lot of nothing. Cool beans.

You then shift to the offensive, slamming hard against the ground and sending tremors writhing through the earth once more. Pain wracks Cobalion's body, waking him up from his slumbers. He climbs to his feet and barrels toward you once more. He goes for another Iron Head, which hits you hard in the side. Since you're up close and personal, you decide to use this to your advantage. You fight back with some more close quarters combat. You fight with a series of physical blows, which Cobalion counters with a physical blow of his own: a Giga Impact. White light surrounds his body and he bashes his head into you, sending you skidding backwards across the pebbly terrain. However, thanks to your Rocky exterior, the damage from that move is much lower than it could have been.

As your Toxic flares up again, Cobalion kneels. He's going to need a second to recharge from that...

Having done everything you can hear, you and Bulbob depart the palace. Fortunately, the Staryu zombies seem to have found other things to do, giving you an opening to return to the surface. You climb back into the boat, where you're forced to recall Bulbob. Once you've taken off your scuba gear, you then steer the boat back toward shore. After a while, you eventually return to the pier and dock the boat before trekking inland. A good deal of hiking later, the salty air of Tranquil Shores dissipates you and find yourself immersed in the tall grass of Hunter's Cove yet again.

When at last the Heart Swap is complete, Manaphy sends one energy heart sailing toward you and the other toward Terrakion. Everything goes blurry as the swap takes place. When your vision corrects itself, you feel quite relieved to be rid of your battle wounds. You pluck an Ultra Ball from your belt and click the button. The ball grows threefold. You then toss it at Cobalion. As the Ultra Ball connects, the Iron Will Pokemon transforms into red light and is swiftly drawn inside. The ball falls to the gravel and begins to shake.

Oread gestures toward the mouth of a tunnel on the right side of the room.

Animikii squawks and draws you over to the mouth of another tunnel on the left side of the room. There, lying on the ground, is a bright blue feather shaped like an eighth note.

"That's a Chatot wing feather," Pan says. "It must be Perry's. I can't imagine many other Chatot visit these parts. It looks like he went the opposite direction as Diancie."

Without looking at you, she disappears down the leftmost tunnel. You and your remaining party members take the tunnel on the right. As you proceed down the narrow passageway, you feel a sudden earthquake. Bits of dust and debris fall from the ceiling. After a bit more walking, you feel a second earthquake. This one dislodges larger pieces of rock from the ceiling. A sizable slab comes within inches of falling on you.

"I think it's Diancie doing this," Oread says, dodging a falling stalactite. "Her temper must be growing the longer her children are in danger. Say, is there anything you can do to stop the rocks from squishing us?"

Between Perseus's Psychic abilities and Zyuu's affinity for the land, they manage to stop the seismic movements as you proceed onward. After a while more of trekking, you come upon another large chamber in the heart of the mountain. There, floating in the middle of it all, is none other than Diancie.



She looks at you when you enter.

"You," she says in a booming voice. "You're the one who has threatened my children, aren't you? Where are they? What have you done with them?"

"I... I apologize," Diancie murmurs, taking a moment to calm her breathing. "You are entirely correct. Cooler heads shall prevail. However, it is difficult to quell my urgency. I can sense that someone has taken my children and is doing harm to them."

"I don't understand, Mother Diancie," Oread says. "Someone is attacking... Mega Stones? Why would anyone want to do that?"

"I fear the culprit is exploiting my connection to the Mega Stones in order to lure me," Diancie replies. "What anyone would want with me, I cannot say. I have been searching the mountain passages and I cannot locate whoever has done this, though I can sense that my children are not too far off. You plot a course through the tortuous maze and embark. After much twisting and turning, you step out into the outer rim of a massive cylindrical chamber. The room extends far above, beyond what the eye can see, and way down below into darkness. A number of rugged stone columns serve as platforms in the middle of the chamber. Perched upon the centermost column are two familiar Pokemon.



"Hello, Diancie," Eckhart says. "Pan said you might have some company with you. I think you might be looking for these?"

With his tail, he holds up the stolen Abomasite.



"Now you hold up the one I gave you," Eckhart whispers.
