A strange town, all within the treetops. Long since abandoned by humans, the MASSIVE amount of Pokemon that live here all seem a bit strange and off kilter. The completely aerial town is connected by boards, and the homes all resemble traditional Japanese style. One would think the townspeople were turned into Pokemon here!

THE WAR
Masashi Hamauzu - Saber's Edge

The battle escalates quicly as you summon Alexander from his poké ball. The large snow creature immediately summons a maelstrom of icewinds that envelope the treetops. Krok is not pleased either, but creates a powerful earthquake rivaling Alexander's.

However, this is going on as you try to take aim at Druddigon, and you inadvertantly shoot Manectric with the ray gun instead. The tremors get worse, and your weapon is cast aside once more.

Smeargle, meanwhile, manages to wrestle Swoobat to the ground with a nice spiderweb, but it most assuredly won't last.

You take The Zen Zone of Zekrom and notice something -- while all the other books on this shelf are worn and dusty, this one appears to be clean -- maybe someone else checked it out recently and just now returned it?

It's a foreword by some guy you've never heard of addressing the book and the myths about Zekrom. It all seems a little self-pleasing, but you press on until you get bored--

You thank Cain for his hospitality and his information, and leave the library only to have Airship wrap his tassles around you once more and lift you high into the sky.

After several hours of mindlessly carrying you, you awaken to see the sun just creeping over head and Airship touching down on the floor -- you're at Sunshine Fields!

Airship, however, looks worse for wear and deflates upon hitting the grassy plain. Poor guy.

Airship is recalled to his poké ball so he can rest up, leaving Hashmal and Atlas to take up arms and replace him. Per your commands, the three of you take a look around as the sun slowly climbs overhead, heating the plains to a comfortable 70 degrees.

On your 12, you spot something unusual indeed amongst the trees -- a large, stone construct.

Meanwhile, on your 9, you spot a few bird pokémon in a V-formation:

Fearing no lightning, you and your team charge into the storm and head towards the stone construct. After getting closer and closer, it becomes increasingly obvious that the construction is the source of it!

Hashmal doesn't seem to fear it at all, but Atlas is having second thoughts as you carefully step amongst it. A quick scan gives out poor results of your surroundings.

A quick snap! A bolt of lightning flies high into the air before coming crashing down meters away. That's... disconcerting.

You continue to bravely (or stupidly) wander through despite the lightning storm being fiercer and fiercer as you do. As the lightning gets more and more apparent, you begin to question the safety of your squad.

You remove yourself from the construct only to see a flash of light a few meters ahead followed immediately by a strike of black lightning. Peculiar.

You try to make nice with the thundercat, hoping to not offend or anger him in any way. However, he merely roars a loud roar, followed by a flash of lightning. Hashmal, through no power of his own, is recalled to his poké ball, leaving just you and Atlas to deal with the impending threat.

Round FORTY-ONE
THE GENESIS
Yoko Shimmomura - Apprehension

Atlas readies his fist and throws it swiftly into the large thundercat, causing him to step back quite a few feet. He stares blankly for a few moments before taking a pair of karate chops to the face. Ouch.

But as much as he can take, this cat seems all too eager to dish it right back out. As his body trembles with fluid electricity, the dark raikou spits out a small blast of it, paralyzing your machamp. Atlas struggles, but the raikou's motions don't stop. The fierce cat sprints madly until crashing into his opponent, seemingly being absorbed by the machamp. It is very unusual to note, but the dark raikou emerges from the other side seconds later. Atlas staggers for a few seconds but ultimately falls to the floor. What the hell!?
