It seems to have turned into a sleeping contest as the Ghost girl settles down for yet another nap. The Ground guy doesn't make any attempt to interfere with her as he continues his own siesta.

Finally, there is some more action as Hanajima mutters in her sleep and suddenly dashes up to Xerxes and starts feeling all around - for an item she can use. (Thief :p) But Xerxes has nothing. Her search startles him and wakes him, and he quickly retreats, and blasts her with a Psybeam.

The Baltoy rights himself and prepares another Psybeam and fires it. This beam managed to wake her up and she glances at him sleepily.

The Sandstorm finally came to an end.

Both Trainers feel the Pokemon still need to regain more strength before attacking again.

Since Pokemon are naturally friendly when they are not fighting for their trainers, they quickly calm down, and Hanajima decides to ask Xerxes what happened last round to make him look so bashful. He chuckles and explains that he awoke to her hoovering over him.

It was her turn to blush, and then she explained to him that her trainer had ordered Sleep Talk and that must have been the move Thief. Both of them glanced at their trainers and then back at each other, and the two Pokemon began to laugh.

When they were finished with their little break, they became serious and ready to continue, and scurried back to their trainers' side.

I assume I still have the defensive bonuses, right? Oh and yeah that was some great reffing. Nothing like filling in a x3 relax round with some fun.

Alright Xerxes, time to whip up another Sandstorm. Use Rapid Spin to start up a whirlwind of sand and launch yourself at Shuppet while spinning. If you have enough energy left, finish up with a Shadow Ball, otherwise relax.

Round 10 begins with Xerxes using his favorite weather condition once again. Hanajima has gotten quite used to it, so even though her vision is once again blurred it doesn't bother her enough to change her mood. She giddily decides to beat him up for using the Sandstorm over, and over...and over. She dashes forward and starts to punch and slap him almost playfully, dealing good damage.

Xerxes starts to spin and focuses on using A little tornado of sand as kind of a spring He lunges forward and is stunned to land on his face right where Hanajima had been. Unfortunately, Hanajima loses sight of him when he falls back in the sand and cannot finish her attack.

When the Baltoy rights himself, she believes she sees him now and quickly summons another dark orb. and launches it. It connects with its target sending him tumbling backwards. (-6HPX) Xerxes considers if he should counter her attack, decides to go ahead with it although his energy would be as low as before. He casts his own ghostly attack and hits.

We have reached Round 11 and it seems one Pokemon is tiring rapidly.

Xerxes starts spinning once again causing another sand tornado. Meanwhile, Hanajima vanishes and comes in for her attack, but is indeed knocked back by the sand, unable to touch the Baltoy.

The Ground type gasps for breath, he is so tired. All he wants to do is sink down into the warm sand and relax and that is what he does. Hanajima grins, now he's a sitting Psyduck - or so she thought... Thanks to the Sandstorm and the fact that Xerxes is sort of camelflauged when he's in the sand, she can't seem to find him for her second strike...

Xerxes gets up feeling rested enough to attack one more time. He begins to spin again. Desperate times call for desperate measures, thinks the ghost as she vanishes. The trainers and the ref are stunned to see her reappear pricisly above the Baltoy and his whirlwind. There is an opening and she dives straight down, giving the Baltoy the shock of his life! She smacks him right on his noggin and he topples over.
