That's your justification? That's essentially saying "I'm banning this maneuver mid-battle just because I don't like it.".

In any battle I have previously fought or reffed or come across I have argued against specific use of Substitute. This is not a new thing, I've been doing it for years.

My basic argument is: You can't measure out your life force to such a specific degree.

You can give an idea of a big or little sub, but anything more specific than that is bullshit.

If you want, I can go find old matches where I've shot this argument down before... but then again, I am exceptionally lazy.

Anyway. Cutting it down the middle. No Blade. Sorry for the misleading circumstance with Substitute, but you really cannot assign a numeric value. Well all know that the max a sub can take is a quarter of your full health-so defining a max-large-medium-small-minimum sub will put you within a generic range.

For sake of this Tournament and on I'll use that definition for my Substitute, and grant you the use of a medium sub-which falls in that range, but it may not exactly be that number you want.

Hrm. I owe you both a thanks for helping with a weakness in my reffing. Truly appreciate it.

Blindy seems able to capitalize very well on Brr's inability to grab him, and dips in flight again, taunting Brr. Brr however keeps to its own, glowing with a radiant ice blue hue. Like clockwork, Blindy slams his Tails into the back of Brr's head and the Ice giant spins around! However, a Blizzard of massive proportions comes flying from the Regice, catching the Uxie off guard! It's a strong one too, battering Blindy all over the place.

A large thud hits the ground, and ohhh snap! Blindy is frozen!!

Unable to move, Blindy "watches" as Baron Brrr walks over and hoists the icecube up, before Flinging it right back at the ground.

I dun think that was the smartest maneuver though, cause that broke Blindy out of the ice-but the paralysis was still a issue.

Unpleased with this whole outcome, Baron decides a Rest is in order. Blindy objects and fires off a Thunderbolt It hits but the damage seems to melt away as Blindy plunks down, sleeping it all off..

This looks incredibly bad. Blindy seems well off here. Seeing as how he's tired of battling-he opts to finish it. One tail goes slamming into the ice pillar's head. Cracks can be seen, and the retaliation is an immense Snore that makes Blindy's face twitch.

Kinda miffed Brr woken up yet, a second Iron Tail goes..nowhere! Paralysis pauses Blindy, and Brr gets a free hit, that Snore taking off another chip of health. Hrm Brr is still in this battle...

That paralysis still seems to have a hold on Blindy, because its not moving. Brrr-still slumbering-seems to be rearing up another Snore. Yeah, another Snore thunders through, and Blindy fires off a Psychic try to and shut it down. Both attacks connect, and Blindy hisses in anger.

Both Pokemon are proving to be even matches for each other. Blindy does not waste time in slamming into the nigh-immortal ice golem with another Iron tail. It almost seems like a waste of time, until a definite crack can be heard. Not of the golem's facade breaking, but of the sound of ice moving. Brr finally snaps out of its trance, and Blindy meets an Ice Beam head on!

Shocked the Golem awakened now, Blindy goes to try and wraps his mind around Regice With a little bit of extra power, he's able to do so-but Brr unleashes a second Ice Beam on the Psychic's frame. This battle is getting far too close...

It really comes down to this. Blindy speeds in for the final Iron tail, but chokes! The paralysis holds it back, and Brr takes all the time in the world needed to charge up and fully annhilate any chance Blindy had of succeeding. Uxie falters...

...but stil hovers! All Baron Brr can do is hope its Final Strike is powerful enough to take the Pixie down!

This match ends in a electrical blastoff. Regice and Uxie each charge up a battalion of sparks and let them fly! The clash is frighteningly powerful and due to it, they manage to short circuit the electrical system. The whole arena goes dark!

But even so, I jump in this rung fully aware that I may see a DKO!

However, Blindy blindly flies into me. It seems that excess in prowess helped to makes its Shock Wave the more powerful of the two.
