    The Last Dance
    red, red dreams shaking...
    ~(@)~(@)~(@)~(@)~(@)~(@)~(@)~

During some sleepless days, I can close my eyes and see them. Their grotesque, snarling faces curled back with hunger and insanity. The beast within them completely taken over, their humanity completely lost.

    Red, Red dreams shaking...

Silence is the only answer to the dull roar which builds on the inside as time slowly ticks away the limited life of others. I am what I am and there is no changing that, being born into the Night is natural, for my kind. Misunderstood they are of us, but misunderstood we are of them.

A secret that nobody, nobody knows...

I want to believe that one day there can be this concept known as 'peace'. I want the days of death, destruction and hatred to be over... but even one in my position only has so much strength. I cannot make others believe nor will I refuse them to bend to my will... but perhaps with this school, everyone can eventually see...

    Falling, falling, falling...

Just as I see her, on sleepless days.

"HEY! HEY! HEY!" The shrill of a whistle pierced into the air, as the prefect blew into it with all her might. A monstrous group of girls and a few boys were waiting outside a large school gate. Eagerly they whispered to each other, attempting to get closer to the gate as the anticipation continued to build. While they loosely listened to the Prefect, they were far more interested in getting their first and last glimpse of the day...

A click of the door and the gate creaked slowly as its massive doors were opened inward. Immediately the girls and guys lined up swiftly, one row on each side of the flat-stoned path. From those newly opened doors, walked the rarely seen Night Class.

"Helloooooo Ladies~" One of the males of the Night class waved as he walked by with a few other Night class students. The girls giggled and cooed in happiness, as the beautiful ones of the Night class walked towards the school.

"HEY HEY! It's past curfew! Stop gawking and go back to your dorms!" The Prefect yelled, slowly pushing the crowd. Giving a disappointed groan, the Day class watched as the Night class students disappeared down the path.

For it was one school of two different sections: Night and Day.

    Night and Day
.... not intermixed, yet working to conjoin.

    ~(@)~(@)~(@)~(@)~(@)~

Welcome to Duskawn, a famous school for having two distinct student bodies: The Night Class and the Day Class. The campus itself has a large center campus, where classes are taken, food is served, a large banquet hall for special occassions and a few other buildings that most schools would have. The distinct difference is that the middle campus is surrounded by a large, thick stoned wall with two gates: A north gate and a south gate. The south gate is open during the day and from there leads to the Day Class dorms consisting of one male dorm and a female dorm. The north gate leads to the Moon Dorm, an extremely large and lavish dorm where the Night class students all stay. These gates are closed during their respective times, to keep each class from intermixing.
It is said that the Night Class is made up of elite students...

Alright, this RPG is based off the popular anime/manga series called, "Vampire Knight." It will have the same tone/genre as the anime as well, which delves into dark, romantic, mysterious, comedic and action tones. I highly recommend you watch one episode of the series or a chapter of the manga to get a feel for the mood of this RPG. The theme song is also provided in the text below the title.

The story of Vampire Knight and this RPG rotates around a school which has two distinct classes of Day and Night. The Day students are humans attend an prestigious Academy of sorts and are given access to many activities except they have a curfew of 7:00 PM to retreat to their dorms. Most however, tend to push that rule so that they may get a glimpse of the Night class.

The Night class is said to be an elite group of students, but in fact are actually Vampires. The vampires were recruited and applied to the school to take classes and to coexist with the humans. A select few Vampires are there to research ways in making it possible for vampires to live along humans peacefully. Others are there because they respect or follow another vampire who attends the Academy.

The Academy has a Chairman who lives on school grounds, who started the school with the goal of working with the Vampires to research ways to help them coexist with humans, while also allowing students to gain an education.

Of course... these are all outside goals. Not all is what it seems...

In this RPG, you will be playing the role of either a Night Class student or a Day Class student. If you wish for something else, please PM me and we will discuss it. I am open for suggestions although I do not want anything that will impede on the 'feel' of this RPG. There are many rules, boundaries and also exceptions in this world so please pay attention.

    VAMPIRES (Night Class) (@)-,`-

    ----->
There are several things to know about Vampires in this world. First, it should be known that there are several types of Vampires.
+ Most Vampires are born Vampires and come from long family lines. These are the Nobles, which make up most of the Vampires in the world.
+ There is another type of Vampire, called a "Pureblood", which is a Vampire born into one of the direct ancestoral lineage of a primary clan. These are quite rare in this day and age.
+ If a pureblood vampire drinks from a human, their body will slowly either reject the vampire's bite and die or the body will slowly turn into a vampire. If this happens, the human will turn into a "Class E" vampire, which is feral and loses all sense of humanity and only strives to feed on other humans.
If a human who is turning into a "Class E" drinks the blood of a Pureblood, they will essentially become the same as a basic Noble vampire.
~ Keep in mind that age also plays an important role. Not all Nobles are created equal and family lines, age and power positions plays a role in how a vampire is treated by other vampires. It is very aristocratic and should be played as such.

    ---->
Another key note is that all Noble vampires generally have the power to erase certain memories of humans as well as being stronger, stealthier and faster than a human. Their aura is also very attractive to humans and often can use to 'suggest' things. Not all vampires are created equal, so there are varying degrees to a vampire's power. (For example: One vampire may have horrible strength in comparison to another, but perhaps is far more nimble than other Nobles.)
Noble vampires generally also have a unique power that is specific to them. These generally are elemental or physical- such as being able to use their own blood and form it into a whip or conjuring fire.

    ------->
IMPORTANT: Vampires do not have taboos like in typical lore, in this RPG. They can walk in the daylight, although they have to put on extra sun block if going out for a while and their eyes are generally more sensitive to light. They can eat normal human food and it tastes pleasurable to them, although they must drink blood or a blood substitute to sustain their hunger. Vampires breath and bleed although they live incredibly long lifespans.

    !!! NIGHT CLASS !!!

In this RPG, as a Night class student, Vampires are forbidden to drink blood. They are all given pills which when dropped into a glass of water, turn the water red and give it nurishment and a similiar taste to blood. (It was created by the Chairman). However, while it sustains and works... it is not nearly as desirable as blood is. Blood is intoxicating to vampires and tastes delicious, and sometimes a vampire can get impulsive when next to a particularily appealing human whose heart is beating fast or perhaps a human the vampire has feelings for.
The Night class's head is the Moon Dorm representative, but there is a Vice President and various other positions.

Moon Dorm: A very luxurious mansion. There are large gardens in back with fountains and plenty of forest area. Inside there are large rooms for every vampire that they can design at their leisure. There are lounges, a few offices and such. Pretty much anything you want can be in the dorm.

    --,`-(@) HUMANS (Day Class)

Humans at the Academy are those who have applied to attend to the school and were accepted based on individual circumstances. They attend school and have outside activities just as any normal Academy would. Most, if not all of the Day class, usually look forward to watching the Night class students walk to class and often students will try to sneak into the campus at night to take pictures or observe the Night class. Again, usually if not all the students of the Day class have a particular Night class student (or two, or three...etc...) that they admire or are particularly attracted to. Thus why there is always a mob outside the gate at 7:00.

There are events that happen yearly, such as Valentine's Day or the Moonlight Dance which are events that intermix both Night and Day students.

    !!! DAY CLASS !!!

None of the humans know that the Night class are Vampires, but of course there can be exceptions. There are a few humans who have been inducted to be "Guardians". "Guardians" or "Prefects" as they are often called, are in charge of keeping the mob away from the Night Class student (to the best of their ability) and patrol inside the campus at night to make sure none of the Day class students are snooping about. They also handle problems that can arise... they're like the Student Council, but not organized in such a way for all the Guardians are equal. They report to the Chairman if any issues arise. The "Guardians", for whatever reason, either have already known the existence of Vampires or discovered this. They know the Night class is made up of Vampires and choose to serve as a "Guardian". They often have interactions with the Night class, due to their patroling and such. They do not have to like Vampires in order to be a Guardian.

    SUMMARY OF SCHOOL RULES:

    - Night class and Day class students must wear their respective uniforms. Night class wears white uniforms, while Day Class wears black uniforms.
    - Night class students are not allowed to drink blood on campus.
    - Day class students are not allowed to go on campus after 7:00.
    - Day class students are not allowed to go into the Moon Dorm.
    - Night class students are not allowed to go into the Day class dorms.
    - Guardians are in charge of the Day class student body and report to the Chairman, often knowing the Chairman very well.
    - Night class students report to the Moon Dorm head. He or She is in charge of making sure the vampires obey the rules and reports to the Chairman.
    - Night class students can hold various other positions, such as heading the research department of blood pills and such or being in charge of outside Vampiric affairs. They report to Moon Dorm head.
    - Guardians are allowed to use force against Vampires if they break the rules and are issued a weapon.

This RPG is MATURE. Violence, sexual themes and the like will be included, given that this is a darker RPG despite its light-hearted overtones.

Again, have fun and PM me with any questions/comments. My AIM is mentepazza and my msn is flamepaw@yahoo.com . I highly suggest checking out "Vampire Knight" as well. I also am noting that this will, in all likelihood, be my last RPG here at TPM.

    Name: Yuar Orowind
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Yuar is quite tall, being about 6'4 with a strong, elegantly structured build. His broad shoulders always pushed back into a straight, trained posture while remaining graceful in his walk. His skin is a silken pale, contrasting vividly against his crimson auburn hair. His hair whisps softly in over his face, a few longer strands dashing over his eyes while longer tendrils of soft hairstrands frame his face and flow in front of his ears. The rest of his hair is medium-short, looking rather fluffy in a refined sort of way. (A picture will be uploaded later, for I tend to make complicated hairstyles). His eyes are an emerald green, flecks of several tones glittering about each iris, enhanced by his hair color. His chin and prominent cheekbones are slightly feminine, giving him a softer look but his strong jawline provides a masculine touch.
Personality: Yuar Orowind has an inner calm which is rarely disturbed and he usually is seen with a relaxed smile upon his face. He is elegant with words and usually silken-tongued with guests or things of interest. However, if angered or if someone steps out of line or irks him greatly... he is quite fierce and quick to react. Generally viewed as a kind person, he watches out for others even if he keeps to himself and rarely tells anyone what he truly is thinking or planning.
    Position: Moon Dorm Head
History: Yuar Orowind is a Pureblood of the Orowind clan, and is the last surviving pure heir of the clan. As a young child he went through the Wars of Black- wars a few hundred years ago that gave rose to a huge conflict between Vampires and Humans. Later his clan came into conflict with the Dyvine clan, in which both pureblood clans attacked both each other and themselves for power. Throughout this time, Yuar traveled a great deal to study underneath his Grandfather, who raised him to become a true Noble Pureblood Vampire. In doing so, Yuar came to learn the truth being Class E Vampires and it fed his distaste for the creatures. Fifty years ago there was the rise of the Vampire Hunter, and with that the power of all Vampiric clans suffered. Orowind, being a prominent clan, was one of the clans to suffer the worst. While they were not wiped out as some clans, it left Yuar and his Grandfather as the last surviving purebloods within the clan. Twenty five years later, Yuar's grandfather perished. Eleven years ago, Yuar met the Chairman of Duskawn before it was founded and the two struck a common chord. When the Chairman approached Yuar Orowind with his idea for Duskawn, Yuar agreed to attend the Academy so that other Vampires would follow, seeing a Pureblood join the ranks and those that followed him. (The rest of his life and gaps in between are vague, to help keep him a bit of a mystery and to leave space to fill in gaps for relationships!)
Relationships: Yuar Orowind has quite a few connections. He often goes to Haruka for information, knowing very well that she already knows it or can find it quite easily in the library. He secretly takes delight in talking to her, sensing her unease and he sees it as a bit of a challenge. He occasionally gives Oswald a few projects to work on, knowing that while Oswald may not be the most sociable of creatures, he is quite talented in his field. Yuar also knows Kaiten, although he seems to be distant to the 'hunter', being very business-like with him. Also knows Akiko, due to her position and seems to be more friendly towards her than Kaiten. He knows Corva a little too well, being that their family are consistent rivals. He admires her energy although always keeps a close eye on her, out of respect to the Academy and out of his own personal reasons. Knows the human Avalon, but not personally (Yuar's just got a good memory). Knows Asada and ponders why the vampire seems to always be looking at the human Avalon, but has a general idea. Knows of Lore and Corva, and it a little disgruntled by it but doesn't allow it to show that it bothers him directly.
Powers: His powers seem slightly elevated, but no specific power has been shown other than his anger occasionally cracks glass.
    Other:

Yuar buttoned up the overcoat of his uniform as he regarded himself in the mirror with his emerald gaze. The gentle haze of sleep was finally beginning to remove itself from his eyes and he let out one final yawn before walking back towards his desk. A few papers were strewn about from earlier and he didn't bother to put them back to place. Notes on Class E sightings, a few research papers here and there... nothing really fantastical that couldn't be organized later.

"It will be time to go soon." He thought, opening up the curtain that blocked the sunlight from the room. While the sunlight wasn't going to burst him into flames and indeed, he could walk out in daylight with little or no problem like most vampires. It was just uncomfortable, at first- blinding, if one was not used to it. Narrowing his gaze to blot out some of the brightened rays, Yuar looked down below at the central campus that was a brisk walk from the Moon dorm. He imagined the girls and the select few guys that were already waiting outside the gate that split the campus from the Moon dorm. Everyday there was a large flock of them, always wanting to speak with the Night class or even get a glimpse of them. It was flattering, to be honest although Yuar rarely, if ever, stopped to say hello or to dote upon the admirers. He couldn't be like some of the other vampires, who reveled in it or added to their popularity by doting upon a few of the humans.

Walking towards his door, opened it and began walking down the staircase where the rest of the Night class students waited. Some of their faces were bored, as if this were just routine. Some of them had smiles or happy grins- they didn't mind be idolized. Others were blank, some were moody... it was ironic, how alike Vampires were to humans and yet the differences were far and between. Sometimes Yuar wondered if they realized that too- how thin the line was between humanity and them. Still, Yuar had recruited many if not most of the Vampires to come to the Moon dorm. He wanted the Chairman's idea to work- to work towards a goal of Vampires and Humans somehow living together, coexisting in harmony. The blood pills were a huge advance, although Yuar often heard the complaints about how it failed in comparison to true blood.

"It's time..." Yuar said quietly, as the bell tower began to gong outside at the strike of seven. Those who were sitting down rose from their chairs with grace as Yuar opened both outside doors, letting them swing widely open as they exited.
The orange, warming glow of the sun greeted them with a world filled with the color of golden. Green summer leaves now seemed more yellow as the grass rippled beneath the gentle breeze of the perfectly cool summer's evening. Soft parcels of moss occasionally grew upon the old-stoned pebbled walkway, and Yuar nodded to the gatekeeper who slowly opened the large gate.
"BE QUIET, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!" A large, male voice rang out over the eager voices of the ladies and a few gentlemen who awaited past the gate. A few squeals erupted from the crowd as the group of Night class students walked forward, preparing to head into the central part of the school.

    Name: Kyvara Osagura
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Kyvara stands at the average height of 5'7" with a slim yet delicate figure. Her skin is lightly tanned from her days of swimming in the school's swimming pool and she's rarely seen without her swim bag at her side, although her swimming merely involves playing around in the water than actual swimming. Her hair is long and heavily layered, the longest layers reaching down slightly above her bust. Most of her layers frame her face, getting shorter towards the top of her head with only a few side bangs along her forehead. Her hair is mahogany brown with several intermixed hues of golden and 'dirty blonde' highlights from her days outside in the sun. Her eyes are an ocean blue, having a darker blue circlet around the generally lighter blue colors.
    Specific Area of Study: Undecided
Personality: Kyvara's personality is a blend of outspoken and quiet. She generally keeps to herself around large social groups, rather liking to blend in than to stand out. With a few friends though, she will converse as a normal person would although her tone is soft. Kyvara dislikes loud noises and will often jump at the sound of a startling noise. She usually daydreams a lot and has troubles concentrating in class and is not a very good student.
Position: Kyvara doesn't work or hold a position on campus. Outside of class, she usually wanders about the campus gardens, the pool or the library.
History: Kyvara was born to a single mother who did not have family ties nor a whole lot of money. Still, her mother worked hard to raise Kyvara. When Kyvara was 7, she was kicked out of school due to the fact that she did not pay attention and suffered horrible grades. Her mother then decided to home school Kyvara between work-shifts. Eventually Kyvara began working in her mother's bakery shop, but had a weakened body and often was quite sick or hurt herself due to clumsiness. Eventually Kyvara's mother met with the Chairman and begged him to let Kyvara enter the Academy to learn proper schooling, and with compassion the Chairman accepted Kyvara in.
Relationships: Knows Kaiten a little bit, due to one time when he brought her to the nurse when she had injured herself near the pool. Also knows Akiko due to her being a guardian and because they have several classes together. She knows Avalon, purely for the fact that the girl is a social butterfly and secretly Kyvara wishes she could be as outgoing.
Other: Kyvara tends to still be slightly sickly and accident-prone.

    KYVARA OSAGURA
    [F | Human | Day Class ]

Kyvara heard the bustling noises of the majority of the Day class heading off to await inside of the gate that split the Night Class's living quarters from campus. Kyvara had been swimming in the outside pool, by herself after her last class. (She always ended classes early, having a morning schedule). While Kyvara wasn't one for swimming laps or swimming that much at all, she did enjoy the feel of the cool water gliding against her skin and for a few moments, she felt a bit freer in the water. Rarely did other students join in for a swim, for usually they were in class when Kyvara was outside in the pool. She liked it that way- she had a hard time being in big groups or being super sociable. It was too much pressure -having to entertain or look good for so many people, the fear of them not liking you, the fear of being part of a rumor...
"I suppose I don't wanna be the weirdo..." Kyvara said to herself with a sigh as she slowly climbed out of the pool. Taking her blue towel, she rubbed her hair vigorously and then went about drying off her body to the best of her ability. As soon as this was accomplished, most of the student body was already by the gate. Swiftly Kyvara grabbed her skirt and slid it over her swimsuit and then shoved her towel into her bookbag as she grabbed her shirt and began buttoning it up as she walked. With her bookbag in one arm, she managed to button up her shirt and look some-what orderly as she approached the large group of students who eagerly awaited. Kyvara barely noticed as the gate opened, for she was busy tucking her shirt into her skirt, but the abrupt cry from one of the Guardians snapped her into attention.
"BE QUIET, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!" Rywen cried out, practically glaring at every single living entity in the Day Class- including the other two Guardians. Kyvara tried not to laugh- Rywen probably was the sternest of the Guardians, always looking too serious or reacting too strongly.
Then came the Night Class. Silently. Delicately. Beautifully. They always came out with such a grace, such an air that Kyvara silently envied them all. She didn't worship them, but perhaps on some level she did- she wanted to be like them, after all. She wanted to be revered like that, to look like that... to look so lively, so healthy, so ...
Kyvara found herself staring upwards at the sky, rather than the night class as they walked by. Too many other distractions made it perfect so that Kyvara didn't stand out at all, not even with her wet hair and awkward book bag.
"Alright, get back to the dorms!" Kaiten called out, and Kyvara took that as a welcoming dismissal and swiftly she began to retreat to her dorms.

(If you couldn't tell, there will be a third Guardian named "Rywen Tsugi". His form will be up tomorrow, when I'm not so darn tired.)

    Day Class
    Name
: Hoshimura Akiko (Japanese order, as well)
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
Appearance: As a petite girl of only 5'0", Akiko has a healthily thin build toned by years of physical activity. Her dark green eyes, wide and full of more emotion than her face, are flecked with a dusty golden brown; this is accompanied well by her dark brown hair, bangless and layered only subtly down to the longest strands that gently sweep her shoulders. Her skin, though faintly pale, appears to have a golden brown undertone.
Akiko's undying hatred of skirts can be shown only when she is not obliged to appear in uniform; her usual "relaxed" outfits consist of tees, jeans, and a hooded zip-up jacket for colder days. She also tends to accompany all of her outfits with small earrings and relaxed-fit necklaces or chokers, and is often seen using her uniform neckerchief or another dark-colored bandanna as a headband outside of school.
    Specific Area of Study: Psychology
Personality: Akiko is one of the more soft-spoken girls in the Day student body, perhaps due to her low self-confidence and bad experiences with previous classmates. Despite this "hatred" for herself, she is also very compassionate and respects even students who have hurt her in some way before; she will often prove to be a shoulder to cry on or somebody to turn to for advice (as most Guardians seem to be), and her teachers even believe she holds a wisdom beyond her small handful of years. Though she will often provide support for her peers, she worries that this may mean nobody would be willing to support her in return, but does not voice this concern out whatsoever. When left alone, she'll often be found doing something physical such as yoga or training with her weapon, or following a more artistic pursuit such as drawing or practicing the guitar.
Position: Guardian and unofficial student counselor
History: Akiko, like her classmate Kyvara, was born to a young single mother, though circumstances were slightly different. While she was still an infant, Akiko's mother had died due to an undescribed illness (vampire bite) and was then taken into custody by her grandfather, a source of a lot of what she knows today. However, he, too, died during the winter following her tenth birthday due to illness and frail health, and she was soon placed in the responsibility of her mother's older sister, a bitter shrine maiden.
During her time as a young miko-in-training, Akiko endured hardships that shaped her current personality; she was even considered to be the spawn of a demon simply because she developed an intuition for knowing when something was wrong. Later, she would be abandoned by her aunt after attempting to help a man that succumbed to the same symptoms her mother apparently died from; the man's claims of having been attacked by a vampire later made her believe that her mother was, too. Placed in an elitist boarding school not too far from the shrine, Akiko suffered from more abusive remarks by many of her classmates, leading to her running away right after graduation.
During this whirlwind trip around the country, though, she was found by the Chairman, who seemed to recognize her. After learning of this situation, he decided to allow her to study at Duskawn, keeping a close eye on her during her first year; Akiko merely hoped to use what information she knew to help those in need and possibly preserving peace. Learning of her vague knowledge of vampires, the Chairman made her a guardian.
Relationships: Recognizes a lot of the Night students from her position. She also tends to spend some of time around the other guardians, considering her best friend out of this group to be Kaiten (if it's okay with McNinja); spending time around him has led to her developing some feelings for him. Also knows Kyvara from several of her classes.
Other: Akiko has an odd sense of being able to determine one's personality if she concentrated on somebody long enough; however, she has often been deceived.

    Akiko Hoshimura [ F / Human / Day ]
[ Drink this blood and we'll become immortal; baby, this love is breaking the one last bond ~ Immortal, The Rasmus ]

At the instant her fellow guardian Rywen had screamed most unnecessarily at the top of his lungs, like clockwork, they emerged.

The Night Class; elusive, brooding, almost majestic...a lethal mix of beauty, she had heard it once described as being. However, the sacred knowledge of the academy had been thrust upon young Akiko almost unwilling; the truth was that these nocturnal students were vampires. Thriving on blood, there was a logical reason for separating both student bodies as such.

Standing there, she quietly inhaled the crisp air of summer; soon autumn would arrive and the leaves of the highest trees would paint sunset's colors on a blue canvas. A sudden rush of wind blew past her, knocking dark strands of hair across her small face; the reflection of the setting sun bounced off, her locks glowing a faint red. This time of the day was her favorite, but also the saddest, in her opinion.

Like the passing of life before my own eyes...

Unbeknown to Akiko, Kaiten had already began ushering in the other day students as she spaced out, almost invisible to her peers. Sometimes she had figured it was best to be unnoticed, in fear of receiving ill treatment once again; the thought troubled her, yet she refused to show this struggle to anybody else.

Akiko stood around, asking the last of the "normal" students politely to start going back to their dorms. Within minutes, she was left alone again in silence. Standing outside the Girls' dorm in silence, she watched purples and pinks play on the water fountain near the center of the commons before hearing the main doors open at the opposite Boys' dorm; she knocked herself back into reality, matting down the pleats of her skirt anxiously as she got up to meet with Kaiten and Rywen.

    ...I'm not dead yet!

    Night Class

Name: Suzuro Haruka, or "Haru" (Japanese order)
    Gender: Female
Appearance: Haruka stands at 5'6" with a slim build. She looks fifteen. Her shoulder length white hair is worn in a ponytail with a black ribbon tied to it. Another black ribbon is worn around her neck, with a simple bow on the side. She wears a pair of glasses (fake lenses, see Personality). Her red eyes stand out from her pale skin. She usually has one fang poking out of her lips.
Personality: Haruka likes to act like she's an ice queen. Because of her age and appearance, she doesn't get a lot of respect. She believes that wearing the glasses help her look more mature (it does a little bit). She's very strict within the library and is very persistent in making sure everything's where it should be. She has a very good memory and never forgets someone's name once she learns it. Despite acting like a cold know-it-all, she quickly turns perky when she wants to. Unfortunately, that means a lot of rapid talking so don't ask about her large family. Also prone to childish temper tantrums when someone rattles her cage and blushes easily.
    Position: Night shift librarian
History: Haru comes from a long line of historians, librarians, and record-keepers. Although they're not rich or powerful, they are very knowledgeable about the history of vampires' involvement with humans. Unfortunately they know that it hasn't been all sunshine and bunnies. Haru seeks to fill in gaps where they may be, and hopefully help avoid any future unnecessary bloodshed.
Relationships: Since she is a history buff, Haruka knows about Yuar. She tries to avoid conversation with him; his pureblood position alone intimidates her.
Powers: Haruka isn't very fast or strong for a vampire, but her senses are exceptional. Unfortunately that means someone's elevated heartbeat can attract her as she isn't very opposed to drinking human blood. Feeding before heading out to class helps. Her ears will sometimes be plugged to keep this from happening. She can also silence people by holding up a hand and clenching it into a fist, like she's choking them. She'll undo it by snapping her fingers. This has the effect of temporarily disabling a vampire's abilities, but the stronger they are, the shorter it'll last. She can even cut off their breath if she wishes, but only when she's in a violent mood.
Other: Has a weakness for sweets and cute things. Tempt her with either and she'll practically jump through hoops for them.

    "Suzuro-san, it's almost time."

I nodded to the maid and went back to my business in the Moon Dorm library. Despite everyone else gathering near the front doors, I took my time to join them. There was no rush; the routine had gotten boring. Most of the Day students were there to see my male classmates.

"Volume One, Two, Three..." My eye twitched as fingers brushed an empty space. "He still has Volume Four." I would have to ask for it back. Damn.

I finally joined the rest of the Night Class students right before they gathered to leave the dorm. My earplugs were left in my room for tonight. The only reason that I don't hear the Day Class students' heartbeats during the trip to class was because their screaming drowned out the sound, and that sound could sometimes be blocked out by my wandering mind.

    Sometimes.

"BE QUIET, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!"

A small smile appeared on my lips. Rywen's voice could never be blocked out.

The gates opened to let us through. I calmly walked out with the others to face the mob of screaming girls...and the few boys. The dorm head was in front, getting most of the attention. I was near the middle in an attempt to blend in. No making eye contact, don't say a word, just ignore them...

    "Suzuro-san!" someone called out.

"Hm?" My head whipped around to see who called me. I caught the sound of a camera clicking but didn't see who had it. That's new.

I walked faster to catch up with Yuar who rarely interacted with the Day Class students. He had borrowed the missing book from the library two weeks ago and didn't show any signs of returning it. If I could only speak up...

"Yuar-sama..." I started in a softer voice than I intended.

I didn't expect him to actually turn and answer. "Yes?"

I froze in place and tried to put words together in a coherent sentence. "Volume Four...need to return..." I covered my face as I felt a blush coming. "Never mind." I turned away and hurried on ahead.

    Name: Rywen Tsugi
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
Appearance: Like this! Just like the image provided, except instead of red hair, his is a light silken blue color with the same white highlights. His eyes are also not green, but rather silver. But the tanned skin, the body shape, the attitude- everything else in that picture captures Rywen in a nutshell. The outfit is something he wears past hours, when he isn't required to wear a uniform although the Guardian badge (a little half-sleeve that you'd wear on your bicep) is also upon him.
    Specific Area of Study: Unknown
Personality: Rywen is a rather serious type who doesn't like a lot of the social aspects that comes with being in a school. It isn't that he isn't sociable- on the contrary, he can talk fine and he's completely confident with himself and hardly shy. It's just that usually he's the type to remain quiet about most social aspects of school, but then when it comes to his duty as Guardian or quieting girls down when they scream obnoxiously- he can be very assertive. The rest of his personality is a blur and a mix, for Rywen is a bit more complicated than he seems at first. Deep down, he's actually a pretty nice guy who cares a lot about others but has a slight 'tough love' attitude.
    Position: Guardian
History: Rywen grew up in a normal family, but was exposed to the idea of Vampires early on by his grandfather. His grandfather was a Vampire Hunter, but their line of Vampire Hunters was diminishing and thus Rywen's own father never took up the hunt. Still, Rywen's grandfather filled him with stories and trained him a bit with the use of a gun- just in case. However, a few months later after his grandfather passed away, his family was attacked by a Pureblood. Both of his parents died and the Pureblood escaped, but Rywen was merely twelve years old and never quite the same after that.
Rywen grew up with his Aunt and Uncle after the incident. His Uncle knew the Chairman of Duskawn and Rywen was often forced to have interactions with the head of the School. His Aunt and Uncle believed it would open Rywen's eyes and help him move on, and eventually Rywen's cold personality calmed down a bit.
Now enrolled in the school, Rywen seems to be in close observation of the Chairman, making frequent visits- more so than most of the Guardians.
Relationships: Knows both Akiko and Kaiten, being that their both Guardians. He tends to think of them as friends, although sometimes he wonders if they're merely together due to "business." He also is familiar with all the Vampires and has an extreme dislike for Yuar Orowind for some apparent reason.
Other: Brwah! Rywen carries a gun with him, always concealed. It isn't a normal gun, obviously... but that's half the fun!

    RYWEN TSUGI
    [ M | Day Class ]

    ~+~+~+~+~+~+~

Rywen grumbled slightly to himself as he absently rubbed his forehead while walking back from the Boy's dorm. Those girls and their constant babbling, screaming and swooning over the Night class was something that he could never get used to. It was like digging nails into a chalkboard- the grating, annoying, sound that you couldn't help but shiver over and recall in your mind again and again. The worst part of it was, that the boys upon the campus were just as bad. They swooned over the delicate, curved features of the females in the Night class and tried to take pictures at every opportunity. It wasn't completely uncommon to stumble upon one of them at night, trying to sneak into campus just to take a few more snapshots.

"Rough day?" Kaiten's blue eyes glanced over at Rywen, who had his hands shoved in his pockets. Looking up at the fellow Guardian, Rywen exhaled and shook his head.

"Bah, no... just wish some of our classmates would behave."

"I'm sure they'll settle down eventually." Kaiten offered, a pleasant smile upon his face as they walked over towards the Girl's dormitory to meet up with Akiko. Kaiten often diffused Rywen's nature with his calm, seemingly always optimistic outlook on ... well, everything. On the other hand, it annoyed Rywen at times as well. Did the guy ever get upset?

"I doubt it. Three years and I have yet to see it." Rywen laughed dryly, just as his ever-moving gaze caught sight of Akiko. "I hope you're ready for a long night." Rywen said to her, tilting his head towards the campus.

"Oh? Why do you say that?" Akiko offered, looking up at Kaiten who merely shook his head with a calm expression planted upon his facial features.
    "One of Rywen's hunches..."

Rywen frowned for a moment, crossing his arms. "I can feel it. Some thing is going to happen."

"Hmm... well, how about we start patrolling?" Kaiten offered, as the three of them seemed to agree on this idea and headed into the campus to patrol it upon the inside.

    Day Class

    Name: Inoue Kaiten (Japanese Order)

    Age: 18

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Kaiten is slim, as many anime schoolboys tend to be, with a face striking for its icey blue eyes. His raven black hair is long and loose, falling neatly to his mid shoulders and framing his angular jawline. He wears the jacket of his school uniform unbuttoned as much as he can get away with it. When not in his uniform he tends to wear a pair of jeans, a white t-shirt, and a black coat that holds him tightly around his torso before spreading at his waist into a more typical coat. He wars an earring in his left ear in the shape of a highly stylized cross in what seems to be the celtic style.

    Specific Area of Study: Engineering

Personality: Kaiten is friendly, helpful, and kind to those around him in what can sometimes seem to be a big-brotherly way even though many of his friends are older than him. He is always ready with some piece of advice but tends to wait until asked his opinion before he responds in his deep, mellow voice. Although he is as happy as anything to spend a day in a tree or atop the school reading a book he is equally likely to be found playing tennis or trying to get Kyvara to stop splashing around so he can show her some technique.

    Position: Guardian

History: Kaiten was taken from his family and trained as a vampire hunter at a young age when, through a combination of innate skill, luck, and the already injured state of the opponent in question, he managed to drive off a Class E after it attacked his family who miraculously all survived. He was trained by a series of hunters, different from the normal master/apprentice relationship. This difference was due to the fact that Kaiten would absorb their training and information but inevitably would come into conflict over their methods, or philosophies of vampires and would be passed on to another who shared his viewpoints more. The result of this is that Kaiten was trained in several methods of fighting vampires yet does not have the same connection to his masters as other hunters do, depriving him of some resources should he ever need to call on them. Over his time training and his few years as a hunter he found his original hatred of vampires easing into a more open view after he arrived at the Academy after hearing of it and got to know, to some degree, some of the vampires there. He is still somewhat distrustful of any new vampire he meets though if they show themselves to be in as much control as any vampire can be and do not cause trouble he quickly places them in his mental list of “safe” vampires. Kaiten attends the Academy both because he finally has found a philosophy he agrees with along with the fact that he was never able to truly complete his own education.

Relationships: Knows Kyvara somewhat well, obviously knows Yar from his duties.

Other: Enjoys tea greatly. He also owns a small black cat named Simeon.

They were walking by the Night Class gate for the third time on their patrol when Akiko suggested a pause in their walk to rest their legs and catch a breath. Rywen agreed, rather enthusiastically, and flopped onto the ground next to a tree, using its rough bark to support his back. Akiko wandered over by the gate and looked, somewhat whistfully, at the mansion that the Night Class claimed as their own. Kaiten paused a moment before moving, giving a silent command subvocally that the almost hair thin wire sitting along his throat picked up with little difficulty.

    “Run diagnostic.”

He waited the few seconds the procedure would take before a smooth female voice responded, transmitted through a second almost invisible wire placed behind his head that vibrated the bones directly.

Power reserves at 86%, pseudo-fiber enhancements at full tensile strength, ammunition stores full, vibroblade motor and deployment system nominal, full system deployment procedure loaded. Any other inquiries?

Kaiten subvocalized a negative and turned to Rywen. The Godhand, more like Godarm Kaiten thought, system was a marvel. In its normal state it was nothing more than a small metallic shoulder cover that a simple pad in the other shoulder of his jacket made unoticable. When deployed it would extend to sheathe his entire arm and hand with an armor strong enough to block bullets yet articulated enough to provide almost full movement. With its own compliment of weapons it had been his weapon of choice when he had arrived at the academy.

“You said you thought something was going to happen tonight. Care to fill us in?”

Rywen shrugged where he sat, finishing his own check of his weapon and storing the pistol in its holster, “Just a feeling, y’know how it is right? You’re a Hunter, don’t tell me you’ve never had a gut feeling that you knew was right.”

A grin spread across Kaiten’s face as he gave a small nod, “Yeah, a few times. Guess we just stay alert then.”

The black-haired Guardian sat down next to the young man and both were soon joined by Akiko and the three Guardians enjoyed a moment under the cool breeze. Kaiten felt the wind, felt the presence of his two friends nearby and relished in the illusion of peace.

What would you think of me now Tate?

The moment’s relaxation could not last for long and finally, without a word, the three rose once again and continued their patrol, Kaiten perhaps a bit more alert than he had before the stop.

Note: Interestingly enough, the subvocal/ear vibrating setup actually exists today in case anyone was wondering.

    Suzuro Haruka

I sat at my favorite desk as the others talked with each other. Night Class sometimes felt more like study period than actual school so we got bored and restless, two things that a vampire shouldn't be. "This is dull. I already know most of this stuff," I muttered to myself.

The night air outside was calling to me, as well as a couple faint scents. Very faint, as I could only smell them when the wind blew in the classroom. Humans. They were always distracting me when they sneaked in to catch glimpses of the Night Class. Maybe they were the ones with the camera.

"Where are you going, Haruka?" Oswald asked me as I stood.

"Do I have to announce my going to the bathroom every time?" I replied as I left through the door.

It was a beautiful night, with a clear sky and a bright moon. A perfect night to skip class. I caught three familiar scents immediately: the three guardians. The two other scents that I picked up earlier were stronger. I headed towards the two first.

The trail ended in a wooded area. The two guys seemed lost; they were on the opposite side of the classroom they were looking for. They argued with each other on what to do next. One of them held a piece of paper in his hand. The other had a camera. I stopped behind a tree and listened to their conversation. Interesting...I could use them for a little fun.

"We're going to get caught. The prefects patrol this area every night."

"Come on, we have to do this! You got such a lousy picture of her when she came out!" the other one hissed to his friend.

"Of who?" I asked curiously as I came out of my hiding place. By the looks of their expressions, I was the one who they were talking about.

"S-S-Suzuro-chan!" the guy with the camera stammered.

Wow, I have a fan club! This changes everything! I giggled and waved. "Call me Haru! And what are your names?"

"Kei! And this is Dai!" He pointed to his pale-face pal. Both of them looked like they were near fainting.

I nodded and stepped closer to Dai, wearing my sweetest face. "Dai-kun, do you want a picture of me?" All he could manage to do was nod so I handed the camera to Kei. "Make sure you get a good one this time, 'kay?"

"Okay," Kei said. I stepped back and blew a kiss as the camera flashed.

I smiled as the two Day Class students acted like this was the best day of their lives. I wasn't used to this much attention. The attitude that I walked around with was mainly an act but it seemed to keep the males at bay. Ooh, I have an evil idea.

"Dai-kun, hold out your hand," I instructed. He gulped and extended one. I pulled off the ribbon from around my neck and tied it around his middle finger. "Now you have a little piece of me. But you're going to have to earn this."

"Of course," they both said at once.

"Could you help me play a little trick on the prefects? I know one of them hasn't been too kind to you." I held Dai's hand in both of mine. I had to avoid touching his racing pulse, especially since I've been keeping my other side at bay. The blood tablets I took during class had worked in helping me with that. "Just a little scare. All you have to do is wait a few minutes for them to come close and act like you've been attacked."

    "By what?" Dai asked me.

"Use your imaginations." I slowly let go and walked off.

Time for the next step. The guardians were steadily approaching the campus after patrolling the Night Class dorms. A predictable routine: first campus, then dorms, repeat until either the sun rises or they drop dead. The two intruders must've used that to their advantage.

I was sitting at the fountain when I finally saw them. I looked down at my shoes with a bored look. "Why aren't you in class?" Akiko inquired.

"Because it's boring," I yawned. I smiled up at them. "Can I patrol with you tonight? I promise I'll be good!"

"Haruka..." Rywen started in a low voice. His "go before I drag you back" voice.

"Haru-chan," I corrected. "And I don't see the need of going back. But I'll do it for you." I winked and headed back for class.

This is definitely worth getting into trouble for.

    RYWEN TSUGI
    [ Guardian | M ]

Rywen and the other two guardians had resumed walking along the crisp school grounds after encountering Haruka. Rywen's eyes had narrowed at her when at first she had stated she was bored, and then nonchalantly walked off back towards her quarters. Rywen had stood for a while, watching her head back before rejoining Akiko and Kaiten. Something was always weird about her... something that bothered Rywen. He couldn't place it and he didn't think it was anything dangerous... just... something about her got to him. It was very irksome.

Rywen stretched slightly as he walked, tucking two of his hands behind his neck when suddenly a pair of yelling voices echoed through the air.
    "HELP!"
"OH GOD, HELP, WE'RE BEING ATTACKED!"

Instantly all three Guardians looked to eachother, before taking off with surprising speed. They weaved through a few of the trees, taking a short cut to the voices before they stumbled upon two familiar boys. A camera was in one boy's hand and the other had an odd... ribbon attached to his hand. Rywen was busy looking about however, his flickering gaze peering through the darker places upon campus.
"Quick, let's do a perimeter scan." Kaiten said, his gaze flickering to both Akiko and Rywen. Akiko gave a nod, "Right."
"You two go ahead, I'll stay here to make sure they're alright." Rywen added, his hand beneath his jacket, already clutching at the handle of his gun.
Kaiten gave a nod and he and Akiko took off swiftly, looking about madly for anything that could look suspicious.

"So, what was it that attacked you?" Rywen asked, the two boys standing in their slightly crouched positions, reminding Rywen faintly of cowering dogs. The one boy with the camera seemed nervous and fidgeted. There was a distinct lack of fear in their eyes, Rywen noticed- something that immediately made his suspicision rise.
"Umm... it was big..." The camera boy stammered, as the one with the ribbon suddenly nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, it was huge and... hairy and had... big glowing yellow eyes!"
Rywen pressed a finger to his forehead absently, feeling a bit of anger clench around his chest.
"Did it snarl and have huge gaping jaws and resemble a bit of a werewolf?" He added, narrowing his eyes at the two.
"Yeah yeah, that's it!" The camera one spoke up again, before suddenly his face paled and he realized that Rywen was not fooled.
"BAKA!" Rywen bellowed, instantly lunging at the boy with his right hand. The boy gave out a girlish squeak, and he cowered- believing Rywen was going for him. However, the camera within his hands was torn from his grip as Rywen seized it.
"Out late at night, taking pictures of Vampires and then suddenly crying wolf?" Rywen glared, shaking his head. "Who put you two idiots up to this?"
Surprisingly, they stayed quiet although their nervous, paled faces showed their fear over the ill-tempered Guardian. Gritting his teeth, Rywen threw the camera to the ground with enough force to cause it to break into a few pieces.
"My camera!" The boy cried out, but Rywen took an intimidating step forward.
"Maybe this will teach you not to break rules and bother us Guardians with your lies and petty obsessions!" Rywen practically growled.

"Rywen!" Kaiten's voice split the air as he and Akiko came forward. Kaiten's gaze was furrowed in a frown, as Akiko shook her head.
"Calm yourself Rywen, what did you find out?"
Rywen straightened up, shoving his hands into his pockets as he let out a heavy sigh.
"They're fakers. Someone must have put these two up to it...t hey wouldn't do it without reason."

    YUAR OROWIND

    [ Vampire | M | Pureblood ]

The teacher soon finished his lecture about human history and as he left with great haste- as did most of the teachers who came and left at Duskawn. Perhaps it was because the Vampiric Night students were intimidating... or maybe it was because they barely paid attention... or, it could have been the taunting and lack of behavior.
"I expect better next time..." Yuar said quietly, standing up just as the teacher left. "If we keep running out of teachers, eventually the Chairman will have to do something drastic."
"Drastic?" Corva spoke up, a bit of laughter within her voice. "I'd like to see what that wet rag calls drastic..."
Yuar's eyes narrowed for a moment, before he shook his head and quietly left. Very few Vampires would speak against or up to him, but Corva was not like those who had followed Yuar to the school. No... she came for a very different reason, most likely orders from her own line to keep tabs on an Orowind.

Exiting into the hallway, Yuar's mind snapped from the class to a different goal he had in mind. He had noticed the shift in the air... the scent of a wanderer. Human yells echoed in the night, and Yuar swiftly appeared at the end of the Hallway and he pressed the doors of the balcony open. It gave him a clear yet quiet view of the two male humans and a yelling Guardian, Rywen Tsugi. The picture gave Yuar an idea of what had happened... and the picture grew clearer when the scent of Haruka lingered in the air and the lush color of the ribbon upon the boy's hand entered Yuar's gaze.
"Haruka..." Yuar said to himself quietly, neither anger nor a smile growing upon his face.

Haru was walking through the hallway of the classroom building, when Yuar turned the corner and practically ran into her. However, with controlled movements he swiftlly changed momentum and took a step back. His sudden appearance caused Haru to jump slightly, her flickering gaze settling upon him for a moment before averting.
A soft smile appeared upon Yuar's lips as he tilted his head to the side, his silken hair wavering slightly with his movements.
"Ah... Haru-chan... I was meaning to speak with you." He said in his usual low, melodic voice. "I believe you wanted this?" He inquired, showing a faded book within his left hand. He held it up to her and she took it slowly.
"Oh... the book you borrowed.." she said absently, giving a nod. "Thank you... Orowind-san..."
"Please, no need for formalities." Yuar said, reaching out and patting her lightly upon the shoulder. "It makes me feel old, eh?" His smile widened as he motioned towards the classroom.
"Classes are done for tonight already... the teacher left again. I noticed you had left... are you filling ill?" Yuar inquired, as Haru grew silent.
"I needed... some air.." She mumured, as Yuar nodded.
"Ah, I see. Well... next time, Haru-chan..." Yuar delicately took his hand and cupped her chin, raising it so that he looked at her clearly, his calm and gentle expression still taking hold. "... perhaps no more tricks on the little human boys? I believe our Guardian friends will be tired tomorrow..."

Yuar lowered his hand and offered Haru a polite bow. He turned to walk away before stopping shortly, turning around once again.
"Oh, Haru-chan... do you have any books upon Hunters? I'm afraid I do not..."

    Suzuro Haruka

Yuar was a Pureblood, and one of the most powerful ones at that. I saw myself as someone that was not worthy of his touch, yet he acted so casually and politely with me. Every time he touched me or even just talked to me, I felt like hiding. It was like some inborn instinct.

Even though he was nowhere near mean-spirited, I sometimes think he enjoyed messing with me.

He touched me... My skin tingled where his hand was. I had a few seconds to will away my blush before he turned around again. "Oh, Haru-chan...do you have any books upon Hunters? I'm afraid I do not..." he told me.

I snapped out of my reverie and responded in a slightly panicked voice. "Oh...yes, I do. Although there are some in the dorm library...they don't give enough information in my opinion." I stopped talking long enough to calm down. "I do have something in my private collection that will prove useful. But I must ask you to be very careful with it. It's a first edition and I can't replace it."

I didn't want to stay any longer. The tension in the air felt so thick that it was unbearable. If I could get away from him for a while then I'd be alright. Fortunately, Corva approached us, Lore at her side. "You must need to talk, Dyvine-san. I'll take my leave and look for what Orowind-san requested," I said solemnly. I bowed out of respect and hurried out to the courtyard.

The fresh air did well to calm my nerves. Something had me on edge and it couldn't have just been Yuar. If I couldn't do something about it then I would be unable to sleep all day. At first I headed towards the Night Dorm, but then I caught Rywen's scent coming from near the Day Dorms. He was by himself again; the other two were in the direction of the Night Dorm. Escorting my two pets back to their rooms, maybe? He was getting closer, so I stayed where I was in the hopes that he would pass by.

Rywen grumbled to himself when he walked by, not noticing me at first. "Having a hard night?" I asked him curiously.

He finally stopped and glanced at me. "I thought you were going back to classes."

"We scared away another teacher," I told him with a small smile. It was fun to play around with him, even though he was a Hunter. He was still human. "Anyway, I heard a fuss outside not long after I talked to you earlier."

"A couple of students were faking an attack," he grumbled. "I figured someone convinced them to do it."

A laugh almost escaped my lips. "More of those idiotic Day students with cameras? I hope you held yourself back. After all, you're a prefect, not some gun-toting vampire hunter."

He growled and scratched his head. "Who would play around with them like that?"

"Obviously one of the Night students. Some of those humans would jump off a cliff for us. And they wouldn't even need much incentive." He nodded throughout my explanation. "Like...a ribbon."

He paused in mid-nod. "What makes you say that?"

I broke out in laughter. "Are you so oblivious to not notice that I'm missing one of my ribbons?"

He shot me a deadly glare. "It was you! Does Yuar know about this?"

"He does, and he told me not to do it again. He has yet to give me my punishment. Unless..." I got closer to him. "Unless you'd like to punish me."

Another thing that I liked about Rywen was that he wasn't like the other humans. He wasn't the type to get flustered easily. "Don't play with me," he warned in a stern voice.

"You're a cold man, Tsugi-san. I'm just suggesting that you take the correct disiplinary measures."

"Then don't make it sound like something else!"

My ears picked up the sound of his elevated heartbeat. Suddenly I felt very thirsty. I couldn't stop myself from grabbing his wrist. "Stress isn't good for you. It angers the blood."

    "Haruka!" he yelled.

I held up my free hand and clenched it, cutting off his voice. I didn't want him ruining the moment. "I could play with those silly boys all I want. But you're the only one who's really worth my time." I leaned down and kissed his pulse. "So please...just this once..."

    RYWEN TSUGI
    [ Guardian | M ]

Rywen's heartbeat thrummed against his ribcage as he felt her silken hand grab his wrist with an inner force. It was a shock- she looked so delicate, so thin - for that body to have such a force was something that caught Rywen off guard. Her breath was hot upon his wrist and the gaze that she gave him now was almost predatory. All this, within a moment of seconds and Rywen caught himself- she was a vampire, strength, beauty- it was the same.

"Vampire!" A rough voice yelled out, as Raena came stumbling through the bedroom door. Rywen rose out of bed with a start, concern filling his face.
"Where Raena, where?" He jumped out of bed, not paying heed to putting on his shirt as he reached towards the book case and grasped the old grandfather gun in his hands. Raena's blonde curls bounced near her face as she nodded and ran out the door, fear shown in her pale features.

"Don't run off so quickly!" Rywen called, chasing after her. The wood floor was hard and slightly uneven in places, and yet despite years of living in the house Rywen perhaps had never adapted to them. A corner of wood caught his bare toes, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground with a thud just as he came into the entry way of the house. His hand was firm upon the handle of the gun and the cold, bitter air of the outside howled in from the open door.

The floor though, was warm. Crimson color stuck to the ground, pooling around the fallen figures who had vainly tried to stop the hidden monster that had entered their home....

"All the same..." Rywen suddenly growled and with a swift movement his free hand slid into his jacket and instantly the point of the gun was pressing into Haruka's head, square between her eyes. "Bite me, and it'll be the last thing you've ever done..." For a moment, it was as if his eyes had flared up, flashing perhaps a rise of crimson before fading back to their silvery wash.

"Ah, seems my little joke has reached its end." Haruka said with a smile, although her eyes were flickering to the gun. She pulled away, releasing her iron grip upon Rywen's wrist as she gave a little bow. Rywen pulled the gun away, but held it to the side as his eyes seethed at her.

"Get the hell away and go back to your monstrous dorm..." Rywen was eeriely calm, although the bitter taste of anger was potent to the air. Haruka shook her head, a soft smile still upon her lips.

"Don't get too upset, otherwise this wouldn't be fun anymore." She grinned, causing Rywen to flare up with a temper again.

"Get the fuck outta my sight!"

This was enough to cause Haruka to finally head back to the moon dorm- with Rywen watching her all the way until she vanished behind the gates. As she passed through, Akiko and Kaiten were also heading back and they bade her a hello and goodbye.

"Rywen, are you alright?" Kaiten inquired, as Rywen let out a sight and absently brushed the hair from his forehead.

"Yeah, I'm fine. My shift is almost over though... so I think I'll be getting some rest." With that Rywen gave a nod, turned, and headed over to the boy's dormitory.

    Suzuro Haruka

‘Cause you keep me coming back for more
And I feel a little better than I did before
And if I never see your face again
    I don't mind
‘Cause we gone much further than I thought we'd get tonight - Maroon 5, "If I Never See Your Face Again"

"That was fun," I giggled to myself once I got back in the dorms. "I could've done without the threat though."

What started out as a simple interest had grown into a deadly obsession. A vampire toying with a vampire hunter, I was pretty much asking for the gun between the eyes. It was thrilling, the same way that some people saw running with the bulls thrilling. It was a game that brought out the worst in me. Something about him attracts me. Whatever it is, it’s getting stronger. He’s getting stronger. The only humans that are able to break my spell of silence are experienced Hunters. Rywen’s not experienced.

Rywen Tsugi. Part of the Tsugi family, what was once a powerful line of Hunters. It was impossible for a Vampire clan as knowledgeable as the Suzuro clan to not know about the Pureblood that intruded in his home and killed off his parents. It made the game even more dangerous, knowing that the tragedy that Rywen suffered involved vampires. It almost hurt me, knowing that I was playing the part of a heartless monster.

I bit down on my finger, imagining it was Rywen's. This is your punishment, Tsugi-san, for tempting me with your presence like you were some forbidden treasure. I'm unsure what I want from you anymore. My fangs slightly pierced the skin, drawing out pinpricks of blood. I sucked on it and hid it behind my back, hoping no one would notice. I want to stop…but I won’t. Not yet.

"Haru-chan." Yuar's voice broke through the silence. I still had a dreamy look on my blushing face as I gazed at him, as if he wasn't really there. He stood at the top of the stairs, looking at me curiously. "Are you feeling alright? You actually look ill this time."

My expression changed to slight surprise, but my mind was still a little fuzzy. "Maybe I am. Nothing that a little food and rest won't cure."

"Any reason that you took so long in arriving?" His tone didn't change, but I was sure that he was suspecting something.

"No tricks, Orowind-san," I assured him with a small smile. No eye contact, because I couldn’t lie to his face.

    "About the book—" he started.

My eyes snapped wide open as I remembered his request. "I forgot about the book!" Once more that blush was on my face as I ran past him to my quarters. One wall was lined with tall bookcases, filled with my private collection. I pulled out a large, hardcover book from the bottom shelf and handed it to Yuar while he stood in the doorway. I tried to hide my embarrassment of my temporary memory loss. "This includes the histories of the more...famous Hunter families. Of course, there are gaps...but this is the newest one and the Suzuro clan updates every twenty or so years. They also keep written notes on anything new…but I don’t have access to them."

"Is it reliable?" Yuar asked as he flipped through the pages.

If it was anyone else I would've laughed loudly. But I was relieved I was able to speak so clearly. "The Suzuro clan's information is the most reliable, Orowind-san."

He smiled. "No formalities," he reminded me.

"You are a very respectable figure, sir...please allow me the honor of formalities." I bowed in respect. "Please let me know if it's anything else you need."

SO I got really bored and just decided to post despite how long ago it was this RPG sorta sank. xD If you werein this RPG and wanna post too, feel free! After a while I'll start controlling characters to my whim! BWHAHAHAHA. Unless no one posts at all.

    Rywen Orowind
    [Pureblood | M ]

Rywen smiled gently as he slipped the book underneath his right arm and gave a polite nod to Haruka.
"Don't worry Haruka, you're always the first one that I go to..." He simply smiled, watching her reaction in slight amusement as he nodded. "I should retire to my studies. Ja ne, Haruka-chan."

Yuar entered the Moon dormitory and soon walked up into his studies. Shutting the doors behind him, a shadow figure stood infront of the open windows.
"Ah, I expected you." Yuar said simply, casually walking forward and setting the book down upon the table.
"Catching up on your reading, Orowind-sama?"
"A little project that I'm working on, nothing more. How did the meeting go?"
"As expected. They're still quivering in their boots and yet barking as if they have the bite to back it up. I don't believe they'll be going any further for a while."
Yuar nodded, his eyes lingering over the book for a moment as he brushed a finger along the spine.
"They might act sooner than we think, if things spin into motion here... as I expect they will."
"Shall I keep a close eye on the three of them?"
"Close, but not too close... well, except for her. She won't know a thing."
"Alright, then I shall see you later, Orowind-sama."
The shadow figure leapt out the window, landing outside without a sound. A playful gust of wind swept into the study room, blowing at the papers until a few scattered upon the floor. Yuar's eyes narrowed as he walked behind his desk and collapsed into the chair. His long fingers slid through his hair as he rested his head absently against his hand.
"I wonder how soon he'll spur up activity..."

    Rywen Tsugi
    [Guardian | M ]

The grinding sound of the alarm clock wasn't enough to wake Rywen from his slumber, as his fist flew out from beneath his sheets and punched the clock into the wall. Hours passed, until it was no longer morning but the afternoon was settling upon him. Rywen groaned as he sat up, the soft sheet falling down his chest as he rubbed his head.
The rest of the night had been sleepless for him- the events of Haruka replaying in his mind over and over again. The hot breath against his skin, the way her aura just had... consumed him, like a hungry predator. It had been overwhelming- beyond what he had ever expected from her. It had gotten his adrenaline going- anger, surprise, retaliation- all of those instincts kicked in. That wasn't what had kept him up all night though... it was the thing he felt- exhilaration .
"Fucking vampires..." Rywen swore, tossing the sheet aside. He was thankful it was a Saturday- it was by that grace he was at least allowed to sleep in. The other two Guardians- Kaiten and Akiko were off duty tonight. Only one Guardian was active on the weekends and it rotated. Sunday Rywen would have all day off, which was good. Many of the students often went to visit their parents on weekends as well, which made the job easier.

The late afternoon passed uneventfully, although Rywen did manage to bump into Kyvara. He barely knew the girl, except that she had a habit of swimming a lot and made more trips to the nurse's office than anyone.
"Oh I'm so sorry, Tsugi-san..." She said quickly, looking nervously up at him. Rywen blinked for a moment- was he really that scary?
"It's nothing, Osagura-san. Were you leaving for the weekend?"
"Oh no... my home is too far for that. I'm just going to get something to eat."
Rywen nodded, "Well be careful, it's getting late."
"I'll hurry!" With that she darted off, clutching that bulky swim bag that she always had. Rywen shrugged, the girl always was so nervous.

Then nighttime came and the only thanks that Rywen had were that he didn't have to worry about the screaming students or the night class. The night class students usually stayed in the Moon dorm didn't come out as usual, so there was no use waiting by the gate. That meant that Rywen could just patrol the school grounds normally, to make sure no one was trying anything odd.

Usually, that didn't happen... but Rywen was beginning to find that his term of "usual" was changing every week.

    Suzuro Haruka

    Red...warm...flowing...pain...

    "So thirsty."

I stirred from my sleep as someone knocked on the door to my room. Naturally I would've ignored it or sent them away, since I sleep during most of Saturdays and require peace. But I asked the maid yesterday to bring water in the evening for my blood tablets. "Come in," I told her.

She walked in with a pitcher of water and a glass. "Suzuro-san, I have the water you requested."

My head poked out from under the covers and nodded. "Just put it on the table and leave."

She did so and bowed before leaving. I stayed wrapped up in my bed for a few more minutes. "I can't stay in here forever," I said to myself. "And I'm so thirsty. Damn these feeding dreams."

Two glasses of blood substitute later, I was dressing in a simple white shirt and jeans, what I like to wear outside class time. My hair was still worn in a ponytail but the glasses were kept off. I wouldn't run into enough people to put on my act. But Rywen was out patrolling today, and he was the one I was targeting. I've already taken my blood tablets, so it'll be easier to keep my instincts buried.

The vampires were strewn about the Moon Dormitory but were busy with their own activities. Because of that, it was easy for me to sneak out. Hopefully I would go back in one piece, considering the mood I put Rywen in last night.

    And speaking of Rywen...

"Haruka." The Guardian was standing outside the gate with a deadlier glare than normal. One of his hands was already reaching towards his concealed weapon. "What are you doing outside?"

My eyes scanned his outfit. "I only get to see you wearing that on the weekend. Which is very nice, by the way."

    "Out for my blood again?"

"Of course not. The last time I tried that, you threatened me with your gun." I smirked at him. "There was no need for such excessive force. Big, bad guns are for big, bad vampires. I'm just strong by human standards. Compared to the others, especially Purebloods like Orowind-san, I'm little more than a pussycat with sharp claws."

Rywen scoffed. "Strong for a pussycat."

I giggled. "The only reason you could've had for being unable to get your hand back without threatening me is if you didn't want it back."

His eyes seemed to flash with anger. I could've sworn I saw a momentary flash of red. "You think I enjoyed that?"

My smile got wider. This was getting so exciting. "Did you?"

"If you take one step towards me--"

Before he could finish, I was only inches from him. "How about more than one step?"

The two of us stayed still. I was prepared to break away if he brought out his weapon, but he looked too shocked to take any action. My eyes locked onto his. "You always look better up close," I whispered.

"What...do you want?" he breathlessly asked me.

I kept silent. He can get pretty emotional when I push the right buttons. To think that I can make him that way! Oh, those pretty silver eyes. I reached up and brushed my fingers across his cheek. "I want..."

An actual flash of red from his eyes momentarily startled me but I wasn't willing to pull back just yet. I didn't imagine that.

    "Yes?"

"Enough about me, Tsugi-san. What do you want?"

    Rywen Tsugi
    [ Guardian | M ]

Rywen's eyes widened slightly- only very, very slightly as her fingers brushed against his cheek- a soft, delicate touch. His mind reeled slightly and his right hand twitched.

"Yes?" Rywen managed to form the word strongly, renarrowing his gaze only to find her question fired back at him.

"Enough about me, Tsugi-san. What do you want?"

It was a simple question that did not come with a simple answer. Was she talking about in this exact moment? In life? Or perhaps it was meant to be so open-ended... Haruka was known for doing such things- for playing games. Always with the games... and Rywen couldn't help but feel like it was a game of cat and mouse, except it was more cat and dog- each upholding their own.

The moon's rays were playfully toying with its luminous proprieties, lighting up her white silken hair in the moonlight as her red gaze seemed to glint playfully. She reached up to brush his cheek again, and Rywen felt his body tense and he immediately took a step back. Composing himself, Rywen shoved his hands into his pockets, showing he wasn't about to show an ounce of fear or hesitation. She wasn't going to win, this time- he was determined.

"What I want is for you vampires to behave for one night. If it isn't you, it's someone else.... although." Rywen tilted his head, his gaze regarding Haruka as if he were analyzing her. "You always seem to be the culprit. Are you really that bored?"

"It's the weekend, Tsugi-san... of course I am bored." Haruka replied smoothly, a coy smirk upon her face as she turned to the side- choosing to gaze up at the sky. "Most of the others are boring." She added with a slight hint of a grin. Rywen simply sighed.

    "Well, find a hobby."

"But I have a hobby..." Haruka grinned, turning once again to face Rywen.

"Find a new one." Rywen scowled.

    Haruka Suzuro

    "Find a new one."

I momentarily glared at him, starting to feel angry. How dare he try to push me away! "What if I don't want to?" I grabbed hold of his wrist and pulled him back. "You ask something of me, but don't offer anything in return."

His hand reached for his gun but I grabbed that hand as well. "You treat me like I'm just part of this job of yours," I continued. "You're the heroic, stoic hunter keeping the Day Class safe from us monsters."

"Because of incidents like the stunt you pulled last night," he told me.

I sighed and smiled. "Yes, I went too far last night. Especially considering your past. No more of that, I promise." I slowly let go of him.

"So you admit that you did wrong?"

"I may be a selfish bloodsucker but I'm not evil." I giggled. "Alas, genetics has given me a most unattractive trait to humans."

"You still want it, do you? My blood, that is."

"Again, a most unattractive trait. You can't help your blood being so desirable to me, especially with my heightened senses. But there's something about you I like even more. I believe it's your personality."

His face showed all sorts of expressions during our conversation. But his eyebrows rose with interest, making me smile even more. "My what?"

"The Day class doesn't really see it. You're not very approachable to them. But I'm not scared of you, just of that gun you carry." I patted his jacket. "I poke and prod the tiger in its cage just so it can lash back. Of course, one day I'll just get my arm bitten off."

"So why do you do it?"

"Because you wouldn't even give me a second thought otherwise. A childish cry for attention, but nevertheless effective. And every time you try to resist...I just try harder." I reached out and lightly brushed my fingers across his torso. "I'm not getting another hobby so you might as well just play along."

I hope I'm not too late to start posting Kalah

    Night Class

    Name: Oswald Rhinston
    Gender: Male
Appearance: His true height is 6’1’’, but due to his constant slouching, he appears 5’8’’, a bit sickly pale, with long, dirty blonde hair falling unceremoniously down his back, which is normally in an untidy state (he will ties it back during one of his ‘experiments’ and will comb it out for formal events, but for the rest of the time, it’s messy). His eyes appear to be a mix of a deep blue and a light purple, although for the record they’re considered blue. His nose appears on the long side, and his face is a bit thin, his cheeks appearing a bit sunken. Overall, he resembles a man who hasn’t been sleeping or eating as much as he should.
Personality: Wielding an almost genius level intelligence, It’s Oswald’s temper and pride that make him a bit of a laughing stock amongst some of the younger members of the Night Class. He’s easily irritated by a person’s idiocy and can be quite snappy from time to time. He prefers to be left alone and is usually seen either studying or working on an ‘experiment’. He has a great deal of resentment towards his elder sister, whom he often refers to as an “air-headed bimbo”. Due to the lack of attention and respect he received from his family, he often demands respect from his peers. He considers the act of biting a human for blood vulgar, and when in need of blood, would try to acquire it by more sanitary means, as such, he’s grateful for the blood substitute the chairman produced.
Position: Oswald has no real position within the Moon Dorm, though he has considered seeking employment to finance his ‘experiments’.
History: A noble vampire born into the Caspian clan from an affair between his father and an outsider (he adopted his mother’s surname Rhinston). Because of these circumstances, Oswald was often treated with little or no respect by the other members of his clan, who prefers to give all their attention to his elder half sister Genevieve. In an attempt to gain his peer’s respect, he dove into study, becoming immersed in history and different sciences. However, it would seem that his intelligence could never overshadow his origins, which would doom him to obscurity amongst his clan.

Eventually he discovered the Duskawn school and, by that time had given up earning the respect of his fellow clansman, decided to enroll. Being focused on his sister, his family didn’t stop him from going and he was pretty sure that some of his clan still haven’t noticed his absence. Oswald’s Dorm is located on one of the lower levels, which he’s converted into a makeshift laboratory. Very few of his experiments have given decent results, as the rest of humorously failed (humorous for everyone except Oswald). Because of this, he’s become a laughing stock of sorts amongst the younger members.
Relationships: Will edit when more people join.
Powers: His glare seems to have the ability to cool the temperature in the area to low levels. Good for story experiment specimens.
Other: He has a taste for mint and is often seen mixing a small bit of it into his food.

    Oswold Rhineston
    ----------------------------------

People often wondered what happened inside the Moon Dormitories. Parties, balls, stuff like that. What people didn't suspect was that with an almost weekly basis there would be a small explosion coming from the lower levels. Anybody nearby would most likely look up from what they were doing, wondering what happened until an irritated voice rang out:

    "AAAH DAMN YOU ALL!"

At which point everyone would just realise it was "him" again and go back to what they were doing. Some of the older student wouldn't even look up and instead chuckle softly, being jaded by the frequent explosions.

"He" in question was now lying on his back, a bismerched expression on his face and a light coat of dark dust covering his head. The vampiric 'scientist' mutter obscenities to himself as he climbed to his feet. He strode over to his workbench to find the remains of a shattered flask and a foul smelling liquid bubbling on the wood. With an irritated groan, he grabbed a moist cloth and wiped up his failed experiment. This had happened so often that he could clean up messes like that in about a few seconds. He swept up the broken shards of glass into a nearby dust bin and whiped off the dust from his face.

"Experiment 243, first attempt, a complete and utter failure. Next time do not cool at such a rapid pace," he murmered to himself, scribbling his observations into a slightly scorched notepad.

He then strode over, grabbing a pill of the blood subsitute and pouring himself a glass of water and dropping it in. He added a little bit of frosted mint, an addetive of his own creation, as he mixed the drink and gulped it down in one go. Sure, he was still a fair bit from making the blood substitute almost identical to the real stuff, the mint did help him bear it a bit more.

He looked over his work bench again, contemplating what to do next. He had half a mind to retry the experiment, but to be honest, one explosive error was enough for one day.

"Oh what the hell," he muttered as he headed for the door. He figured he may as well go out to get some fresh air, if he wasn't recieving mocking grief from the younger members of the dorm.

Whether it was with his family or here, it seemed like Oswald would never get any respect.
I'm in your dimensions, screwing with your reality!
