A Fakedex Collab Project I Want To Do Here.

This is basically where we (including myself) with brainstorm ideas for a Fakedex.

I have some potential starter Pokemon for each type. Everyone can vote for their favorite. This round ends February 15, 2014! The winning starters will be revealed after no more than a week later.

Since I cannot sprite things for beans, somebody will need to volunteer.

Then, someone can come up with ideas for the "Early Route" Pokemon. Including a small mammal, a bird, and a bug.

Next post will be the Grass candidates, the following two posts after will be Fire and Water respectively.

Count me in, though I don't think we'll get too many entries with the current activity level. At least I can do sprites. Gimp is quite easy for that, you should see it for yourself if you haven't already.

Perhaps we are all too old. ASB died out when the refs couldn't switch to the new code.

But I have to ask something too. I didn't completely catch the starter post, do you draw the original Fakemon while someone does the spriting on that basis?

I'm no da Vinci, especially when it comes to computer drawings. I just come up with the basic ideas.

Oh, then I don't know if I should decline. But Perhaps I can come up with some illustrations if you tell me what kind of Fakemon you would like me to draw.

I'll start with the basic candidates for ALL THREE Starter types.

Grass:

Moosling (based on a Moose calf)
Koptus (based on a Koala)
Lemoreal (based on a Ring-tailed Lemur)

Fire:

Repandle (based on a Red Panda)
Firaguar (based on a Jaguar cub)
Pyrazel (based on young Thomson's Gazelle)


Water:
Walmini (based on a baby Walrus)
Elpudd (based on a newborn Elephant)
Aquastor (based on a Beaver)

Okay, my impressions for your Fakemon are ready. I first did a quick sketch of each of them on paper:

These all are merely suggestions, I can add or remove stuff or even do something completely different. Feedback is welcome!

They're neither bad nor great, but I like the designs, although they aren't quite Ken Sugimori ish.
