No worries, though! Tweety, Fly me out there! Once I'm close enough, I throw the ball at Kyogre. Since the Professor has already been caught, he shouldn't be able to be sucked inside as well. I think? Maybe?

Round ONE THIRTY-TWO
THE LEVIATHAN
Yutaka Minobe & Takayuki Maeda - Bombardment 2

The Little Jack continues to float in the air as Tweety latches onto both you and Junior and lifts the both of you into the air, getting closer and closer to the leviathan. Tweety weaves in and out as Kyogre fires off water pulse after water pulse trying to knock you out of the sky

The third one lands succesfully, and you and your bird are separated! You fall and fall, but in a moment of cleverness, you lob the ultra ball at Kyogre.

The ball bounces off his side and a red beam of light collects his matter, revealing not only the Professor, but several more un-digested pokemon as well!



The ball hits the water before opening right back up almost instantly, releasing Kyogre from it. You see (with a relieved expression) Bugg retrieve the ball before it sinks to the depths as Uxie catches you mid-air with her always useful psychic powers.

This, unfortunately, means that the Little Jack is lost...

~While the storm is happening, any fire-type pokemon will be damaged 2HP per action. Water-type attacks will receive a 50% boost, while fire-type attacks will only hit for 75% of their original power.~

Oslo Jr., get close to Jeremiah. Then hit Kyogre with one final Hidden Power. Try not to, uh, cause it to faint.

Tweety, get close to Jeremiah and Oslo and then provide cover with Protect.

Happy to be out of the beast's smelly belly, the Professor snaps and paralyzes said smelly belly beast as Tweety carries Oslo, Jr. close to him and fires off a (weakened) blast of grass power. The damage is good, but not enough to fell the beast, who retalliates with another hydro pump.

Tweety's barrier protects them just in time, but they're still pushed back quite a ways.

You thank Uxie for her help knowing full well that once you catch Kyogre, you'll probably never see her again. With your eyes pressed on the whale, you throw the ultra ball once more and seal Kyogre inside.

It slaps against the water for a few seconds before...

...locking into place.

Congratulations! You caught Kyogre!

You cry and yell gleefully as the rain storm suddenly ends, and smile at Uxie before you and your crew return to the entrance to the safari zone, with your four ultra balls waiting for you there.

Squish gets ready to take advantage of her mighty foe's unfortunate condition, but her plan is delayed immediately once Regirock uses his lucky hidden power to melt the ice and strike before her! That was fast. Squish quick-steps backwards for a few seconds to keep a watchful eye, but while she does that, Regirock peers carefully, keeping tabs on her exact location before firing off a powerful zap-cannon that sticks to her location like an ant on sugar.

While paralysis sucks, Squish keeps her composure long enough to palm her foe quite forcefully. The rock's hide is still cold, but he too becomes paralyzed by the second strike. With a wild smirk, Squish then scoops up some of the sand on the ground and blows it in Rock's face, snapping him back and out of paralysis quite easily!

Regirock has had enough, and begins stammering his feet upon the ground, creating several ripples that knock Squish off her feet. She struggles to regain her composure, but given her paralysis -- it's no easy feat. The earthquakes continue as Squish finally pulls herself back together, and she endures them enough to lob the large golem into the ground for fierce damage.

The earthquakes stop long enough for you to decide that the time is now. You pull out your ultra ball and hurl it at the golem, sealing him inside quite easily. It rolls onto the ground before stopping. And it shakes.

Twice...

...before sealing shut!

Congratulations! You caught Regirock!

You and Squish celebrate gleefully before being teleported back to HQ to retrieve your newest pokemon.

This Volcanic Island - previously hidden away; can now be seen from the shore. A massive pool of magma lies deep in its center, but one can walk down quite a ways and find a variety of Fire Types enjoying the heated tunnels. Some hardier Flying Pokemon line the edges of the Volcano as well. A tall Pagoda stands on the Island as well, the only man-made structure here. If you fish from shore, Water Pokemon encounter rates are the same as for Tranquil Shores.

You skip past the two fire pokemon and make your way to the top of Shinsuke finally!

You take a look at your surroundings, spotting a small island in the ocean a few kilometers out.

You make no reservations for the squad of four as Krok and Umbreon create a nice diversion with a sandstorm. While the sand is coarse and blinding for Umbreon, Smeargle, and you, you still make haste.

You take aim at the large grass pokemon whilst your team battles the other three. You squeeze the trigger, firing off a blast of paint that splashes against Alexander's brow, knocking him out cold.

The three others stop what they're doing and glare at you, realizing what you have--

The mind-washed pokemon drive towards you, attempting to retrieve the weapon from you. As they charge, Umbreon summons a dark barrier to surround everyone within a few feet.

Tangrowth manages to swipe the ray gun away from you with her tendrils, but loses it once Krok hits her with an embargo. You dive down to recover it before firing it off into her face. Her mind goes soft for a second before she slumps down. Crobat manages to swoop down and snatch the gun away from you as well! Curses! But Krok's not gonna let him break away, and uses a combination of pursuit and embargo to make her drop it. Upon hitting the ground, the ray gun fires off another glob of paint, hitting her.

The only one left is Gulpin, who stands a good three feet away from the gun, and he is hungry.

Alexander and Smeargle, meanwhile, are safe inside the cage.

Round ONE FORTY-SEVEN
Mastermind readies itself quickly before changing its firing apparatus settings to 'ice'. A large metal hose emerges from its beak, spraying out a light haze of ice that envelopes the slender dragon pokémon, slowing her down a good deal. When the haze ends, Dragonair finds herself struck with a fierce ice beam immediately followed by a tremendous blizzard. Talk about hurtful.

Not happy at all, Dragonair breathes out a torrid chain of fire (partly to warm herself up) that wraps around the blue porygon before constricting twice. Badger! When the flames die down, she then slams her tail down upon him like a blade. Mastermind hits the stone floor hard, cracking his frame a good deal. Not a good position to be in...

You ask Alexander about his time as a slave, and he responds... solemnly. He could see everything he was doing, but he just couldn't have control over what his limbs were doing. He's not entirely sure what he was doing, because he never needed to know.

When asked about the whereabouts of your other pokemon, Alex's eyes light up brightly. Kamon was last seen patrolling the opposite side of the treetops, with a few other pokemon.

Gin, meanwhile, was imprisoned on that side because of his immunity to mind control.

You usher Alexander in a rescue mission, but the large ice pokemon pulls you back. He's on your side, yes, but he can't exactly fight just yet. He's still getting control over his body, after all.

Mastermind retracts his ice gun long enough for Dragonair to explain.
