    Shinsuke Volcano
This Volcanic Island - previously hidden away; can now be seen from the shore. A massive pool of magma lies deep in its center, but one can walk down quite a ways and find a variety of Fire Types enjoying the heated tunnels. Some hardier Flying Pokemon line the edges of the Volcano as well. A tall Pagoda stands on the Island as well, the only man-made structure here. If you fish from shore, Water Pokemon encounter rates are the same as for Tranquil Shores.

    Round ONE THIRTEEN
Uxie takes a moment to size up your team: a bird, a lightning bug, and an o-shaped amulet. Certainly not the team capable of besting a legendary water god. She thinks for a moment before coming up with an idea.

Your team is not capable enough to take on the leviathan on their own; but I know something that can.

Within seconds, you feel your body disappear completely from the shore of the beach.

Upon opening your eyes, you find yourself face-to-face with a large, wooden galleon. The wood is moldy and warped, and the sails are ragged. You can barely make out the name of the vessel painted along the side: Little Jack.

I noticed this as I was sailing across the ocean. It might not look like much, but if you want to reach Kyogre, this will be your best shot.

    What's your next move, Oslo?

Become a pirate and board the Little Jack!
    "Nah... ninjas are cooler."

You climb aboard the archaic vessel and look around and study its insides.

It looks marvelous, despite being old. You look up and see the crow's nest is still habitable, as well as the main cabin and the cannons. Looks like a sweet ride, all said.

    What's your next move, Oslo?

    Keep inspecting the ship.

To hell with it, let 'im go. Let's go back up to where we were, but Starstrike, keep a look out for him. If he follows us he's going to regret it.

    Round ONE FIFTEEN
As you wander around the ship's archaic interiors, you call out your three pokemon to help you survey.

    How to Pirate:
Whilst you traverse the sea looking for giant whales and gold dubloons, you'll need to assembly a crew that are as nasty as they are fierce. This ship is a small one, aye, but ya'll be needin' a few set of mates to brave the seas.

There are five jobs aboard the Little Jack:
    Captain
Helmsman - In charge of the sails and navigation of the ship.
Lookout - Stands aboard the crow's nest and surveys the tides and seas.
Bootswain - The ship's engineer and carpenter. Is in charge of keeping the ship afloat.
Gunner - In charge of artillery. Multiple mates can be assigned this role.

You will assign these jobs to pokemon, keeping in mind their strengths and weaknesses. While on the boat, your pokemon won't be able to use devastating attacks for fear of sinking the ship. Often times, you will be boarded by sea-faring pokemon or even other pirates! If that happens, you will need to take up your pistol and rapier and get out to the deck pronto to ward them off -- this will be the only time it is acceptable for your pokemon to attack.

If you come across something a little bigger, your main weapons will be the cannons. They are pretty powerful, but take time to load -- you won't be able to use them over and over in a timely manner unless you've got a strong person in charge of them.

The Little Jack is also equipped with the Harpoon Cannon -- a devastating spear attached to the bow capable of dealing heavy damage to your target and, if you're lucky, tethering them to your vessell. The Harpoon Cannon requires a lot of the ship's power, though, so you will only be able to use it once every five rounds. Keep that in mind!

You think about the jobs of your ship, and how you conveniently have four pokemon with you to serve as mates.

    Round ONE SIXTEEN
You assigned the roles and allow your pokemon to take their rightful positions as you step into the cabin. There's quite a few things about -- including an old cutlass, spyglass, and even a pistol! Shiver me timbers!

    Round ONE SEVENTEEN
You ignore the three pieces of pirate equipment and wander around the cabin some more. Aside from a few knick-knacks, old paintings, and half-empty bottles of rum, there doesn't appear to be anything useful in here.

    Round ONE EIGHTEEN
With your preparations made and your crew ready, you hoist up the anchor and let the helmswoman, Tweety, guide your large craft.

Tweety hovers a few feet into the air before furiously flapping her wings, creating a swift jet of winds to propel the Little Jack forward, and your pirate journey begins.

    SETTING SAIL
Yutaka Minobe & Takayuki Maeda - Little Jack

As the volcano behind you gets smaller and smaller, you find yourself feeling much better as a pirate. Your boatswain hovers a few feet in the air next to you and you flash the brightest smile you've ever flashed.

But the ocean, as calm as it is, still has some monsters about--

    SETTING SAIL
Yutaka Minobe & Takayuki Maeda - Little Jack

You decide against approaching the water creatures, and continue to sail forward as the winds pick up and push you to the west. Your purple unown cries up from the crow's nest, and you begin to wonder.

You climb up the intimidatingly tall ladder up to the nest and pull out your spyglass to see what's given Oslo, Jr. such a fright.

    Black clouds.

About three kilometers west of you. They look fierce.
