Made a correction to the last round. Forgot that Curse hits through Substitute.

    ‡ Round 4 ‡

Things are neck-and-neck as we inch our way slowly to the battle’s end. Cicero fills his mouth with flames and belches a terrific blast of heat at Alphonse. The sunny weather strengthens the attack and Alphonse is all but melted into a puddle of steaming, metallic goo. Robirdo dives toward Lillium, stabbing her with his beak, while Miko passes crimson beams of light over Mr. Devil Poops’s body. This time, there’s no Protect to save the Spiritomb from getting locked into the physical world. He dun seem too pleased 'bout dat.

Snake extends some health-sucking tendrils toward Triton, scoring a hit and leeching away some of the penguin’s hit points. Dat’s some good shit. A red glow surrounds Rosalinda as she decimates Shindo’s Substitute, rendering the Jigglypuff vulnerable to all sorts of hits once again. The little powder puff looks like he’s trying to do something… an attack, prolly… but can’t quite figure out how it’s done. Derp. Meanwhile, Lillium looks ready to attack, but bides her time instead, waiting for something else to happen first. Fists raised, Alphonse shoots across the battlefield and clobbers Cicero in the belly with a Meteor Mash of epic proportions. Cicero squeals and doubles over. Triton then waves his fingers and raises a howling winter storm, which settles upon Snake and starts ripping the Servine’s health away.

Mr. Devil Poops locks eyes with Shindo and begins lulling the Jigglypuff into a deep slumber. Shindo opens his mouth to Sing a dulcet tune, but isn’t fast enough: the Hypnosis takes hold and he slouches over, snoring loudly. Lillium glances at her incapacitated ally and then narrows her eyes. Two can play at that game. She flounces toward Rosalinda, gives her little body a wiggle and releases a blue dust that falls over Rosalinda’s body. Rather than growing drowsy, the Gardevoir smiles demurely. Looks like her Safeguard is doing its job.

    Shindo: <Sub: Broken! Slp; Can’t move!>
    Miko: <-4 EP>
    Alphonse: <-24 HP; -8 EP>
    Triton: <-18 HP; -10 EP>
    Lillium: <-14 HP; -4 EP>

    Cicero: <-12 HP; -10 EP>
    Robirdo: <-6 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-7 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <For; -4 EP>
    Snake: <-18 HP; +9 HP; -6 EP>

The fight continues as Cicero beats his wings hard, unleashing another Blizzard. The storm rages toward Lillium, who’s forced to endure the merciless attack. Cicero chuckles. It’s so nice to not be on the receiving end of one of those things for a change. Meanwhile, Robirdo attacks everybody’s favourite unconscious Jigglypuff, smacking Shindo upside the head with a Steel Wing and receiving a Defence boost as a reward. Whoo! Miko then manages to do what he couldn’t do last round. He lunges toward Mr. Devil Poops and lashes out with a terribly inaccurate punch, which manages to strike its target anyway. Mr. Devil Poops lets out a bewildered roar as Confusion sets in. He wobbles around precariously. He’s starting to feel as ridiculous as his nickname.

Things continue to grow worse for Shindo, who winds up on the receiving end of Snake’s next Leaf Storm. The move cuts up Shindo again and again while Snake’s Special Attack parameter rises. The Grass-type attacks continue to fly as Rosalinda uses a weaker but nonetheless effective leaf attack of her own. A shimmering array of Magical Leaves spin across the field and tear into Triton without remorse. Unfortunately, the little Piplup can take no more. He faints and becomes our battle’s first casualty. Lillium gasps but remains focused, closing her eyes and as she draws in the sunlight to regain health; however, because this is her second use of the move in such a short period, the energy toll it takes on her body is quite high. Meanwhile, Alphonse strikes Rosalinda with a mighty Shadow Ball. It bursts against her body and sends her tumbling to the ground. Alphonse flexes his metal guns. Eat it, dancer lady!

As this goes on, Mr. Devil Poops tries to chow down on some nummy dreams, but only ends up munching on his keystone instead. Spasms of pain run through his jaw. Yeah, um. Don’t do that.

And with that, Rosalinda’s Safeguard winks out.

    Shindo: <-29 HP; Can’t move!>
    Miko: <-8 EP>
    Alphonse: <-6 EP>
    Triton: <-7 HP>
    Lillium: <-18 HP; +20 HP; -20 EP>

    Cicero: <-10 EP>
    Robirdo: <-5 EP; +1 Def>
    Rosalinda: <-12 HP; -6 EP>
Demonic Stool: <-14 HP; Cfn; -3 HP Cfn>
    Snake: <-12 EP; +2 SpA>

Feeling quite exhausted, Cicero uses the last of his energy to release a Thunder at... wait, Triton's dead? He decides to go for Miko instead; however, thanks to all this pesky sunlight, the attack misses its target by a hair, striking the ground at Miko's feet. Cicero, m’dear, you just Cicero’d. Robirdo then flaps his wings swiftly and unleashes a Mud-Slap, which hits Alphonse in the eyes but doesn't compromise its vision. The Metang flails its arms in anger and disgust nonetheless. (*takes a page from DL’s book*) It’s like taking a money shot from a Dugtrio right to face! Hah! Hah! Eurgh...

As everybody’s health and energy continues going down the drain, some of the Pokemon try to offset it, as shown when Miko and Snake respectively Rest and Relax their woes away. Rosalinda lands a sun-strengthened Fire Punch on Lillium, much to the Petilil’s dismay. Instead of immediately reacting, she bides her time yet again. Alphonse goes hard with another Sludge Bomb, scoring a hit on Snake. Snake scowls. Yuck. Poor Confuzzled Mr. Devil Poops targets Lillium with a Will-O-Wisp and scores a hit, using his Infiltrator ability to bypass her Safeguard. Lillium blows Ghostie a raspberry and starts jingling. Her Burn and Toxin immediately fade. She inhales deeply and smiles. Ahh, much better!

Meanwhile, Shindo dreams about hawt lady Clefairy. Oh dear.

    Shindo: <Can’t move!>
Miko: <-26 EP; -6 HP fatigue; +40 HP; Brn no more; Slp>
    Alphonse: <-3 HP; -7 EP>
Lillium: <-16 HP; -4 EP; Brn; Brn no more; Txc no more>

    Cicero: <-8 EP; -1 HP fatigue>
    Robirdo: <-2 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-6 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-4 EP>
    Snake: <-13 HP; +6 EP>

Rosalinda <+3 HP> heals a bit with her Ingrain, Snake <-3 HP> takes a bit of Burn damage, Miko <-10 HP> takes damage from the Curse, Alphonse <-3 HP> feels its Burn flare up, Cicero <-3 HP> loses health from the Leech Seed to Lillium's <+3 HP> delight, Rosalinda <-3 HP> loses health from another Leech Seed and her ally Snake <+3 HP> reaps the reward, Lillium <+3 HP> is restored by the nutrients in the soil and Shindo <-10 HP> takes a full serving of Curse.

If anything with attacks directed towards it goes down, redirect the attack to anything that doesn't resist it if that's possible, if not just use it on whatever.

    Hehe

Cicero: HYPER BEAM @Shindo ~ Recharge ~ relax (if you're still alive)

^usage of that is required in the making of this round

    Robirdo: Steel Wing@Miko ~ Steel Wing@Miko ~ Steel wing@Miko

    Rosalinda: Heal Bell@D.S. ~ Protect ~ Fire Punch@Miko (@Lillium if Miko's already done)

D.S.: Relax ~ Curse@Lillium (if you were hit by brick break previously, just relax) ~ Destiny Bond@Alphonse

Snake: Aerial Ace (for mobility purposes to quickly get to D.S.) + Protect (surround both you and D.S. When you reach him) ~ Iron Tail@Miko

Ooooh this'll be a fun (hopefully final) round xD

If it's not the final round, then Lillium will most likely be the only one of Cynder's pokes standing xD

    ‡ Round 5 ‡

Things are looking awfully precarious for Team Cynder, who’s down one teammate and shedding health left and right. Cicero, who’s fuggin’ exhausted as all hell, huffs and puffs for a moment while Robirdo swoops in and whacks Miko upside the head with one of his wings. The slumbering Sneasel merely grunts. Snake, on the other hand, does a flip in the air and aims an Aerial Ace down at… well, she doesn’t want to hit Mr. Devil Poops, but since it’s downright impossible to deliberately miss an attack that can’t miss she ends up crashing right into poor Mr. Devil Poops. The Spiritomb glares at Snake who shrugs and envelops them both in a Protective bubble. Don’t worry, Mr. Devil Poops. You’ll be thanking her soon enough.

Meanwhile, Rosalinda does a little jig which causes a ringing noise to rise in the still air. The sound waves swell toward Mr. Devil Poops, who can’t hear them behind Snake’s Protect. Wups. Tittering, Lillium does a dance of her own and creates a similar jingling, which causes Shindo to wake from Sleep. Aww yeah! Jiggly back in tha haus! At this point, Alphonse darts in to lay a smackdown on Mr. Devil Poops, who sure seems to be a popular Pogeymon all of a sudden. However, Alphonse’s efforts are rebuffed by Snake’s Protect, which stops the Brick Break wholesale.

Still a little tired, Cicero refuses to let anyone count him out of the battle just yet. He rises a few feet off the ground, takes aim at the creampuff whose mothereffing Ice moves gave him so much grief during the first match-up… and… KABLAMMO!

Shindo is blown away by the attack and Cicero flops down to the ground, sweat collecting all over his face. As Demonic Stool’s Confusion compels him to chew away at his keystone—ouch—Shindo pulls himself back up. With a beam of frigid energy, he goes for the revenge shot. Cicero is struck and knocked clear out of the battle. And then there were eight. RIP, Cicero. For ASB’s resident screw up, you done pretty good, kid.

Shindo: <-15 HP; -8 EP; Slp no more>
    Miko: <-13 HP; +6 EP>
    Alphonse: <-6 EP>
    Lillium: <-4 EP>

    Cicero: <-6 HP fatigue; -3 HP>
    Robirdo: <-5 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-4 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-5 HP; -3 HP Cfn>
    Snake: <-12 EP>

Poor Miko continues to be a target for brutality, taking yet another Steel Wing care of Robirdo, who’s been pulling a Robirdo pretty consistently this entire battle. Keep up the good work, bud! Snake tries to follow suit, but she ends up fumbling the execution of her Iron Tail and misses her opponent rather narrowly. Rosalinda, sitting comfortably inside a Protect, watches as Lillium tries to suck away some health, but her feelers aren’t able to penetrate the Gardevoir’s shield. The same thing happens when Alphonse tries to hit her with a Shadow Ball. Nada. Rosalinda giggles. She’s a spiteful butt and she loves it.

Meanwhile, Mr. Devil Poops gives his head a shake and clears the Confusion that’s been giving him such a hard time. Bringing himself with an inch of defeat, he sacrifices some health in order to put a Curse on Lillium. The Petilil squeals and buries her face in the dirt. Finally, Shindo fires a Thunderbolt into the sky, scoring a clean hit on Robirdo. The Skarmory squawks. Apparently electrocution hurts or something crazy like that. Go figure.

    Shindo: <-8 EP>
    Miko: <-13 HP; +6 EP>
    Alphonse: <-6 EP>
    Lillium: <-6 EP; Crs>

    Robirdo: <-15 HP; -5 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-8 EP>
Demonic Stool: <-14 HP; -10 EP; Cfn no more>
    Snake: <-8 EP>

Try to guess what Robirdo’s gonna do now. C’mon, try. Try and guess. Did you guess Steel Wing? Well, yeah, you’d be an idiot not to, ‘cause that’s exactly what he does. The attack connects with Miko and rouses the Sneasel from Sleep. Ready to make up for some lost ground, Miko hurls a swirling ball of shadows at Rosalinda, scoring a hit. Bam! She hisses, returning the favour with a flaming fist straight to Miko’s face. And with that, he hits the damage cap and will take no further harm.

Still flourishing under all this sunlight, Lillium stores a hearty helping of energy within her leaves and unleashes them in a concentrated beam at Mr. Devil Poops. The poor Spiritomb tries to cobble together a Destiny Bond, but he ain’t fast enough. Succumbing to the SolarBeam, he perishes. Alphonse, who was gonna DynamicPunch Mr. Devil Poops, is left to pick a new target. It floats up to Robirdo and tries to clobber the iron bird, but the attack misses. With only seven Pokemon left in battle, Shindo tries to bring that number down to six by targeting Snake with a Fire Blast. Even though the attack hits, scorching Snake through and though, it’s not enough to put her over the edge. Shindo pouts. Balls.

And with that, the sunlight dims. Lillium's heart rate lowers as well.

    Shindo: <-10 EP>
Miko: <-14 HP capped; -6 EP; Slp no more>
    Alphonse: <-7 EP; -1 HP fatigue>
    Lillium: <-10 EP>

    Robirdo: <-9 HP; Cfn; -5 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-12 HP; -6 EP>
    Demonic Stool: <-14 HP>
    Snake: <-18 HP>

Rosalinda <+3 HP> uses her roots to dredge up health from the soil, Snake <-3 HP> suffers some Burnination, Miko <-0 HP capped> is spared from Curse, Alphonse <-3 HP> is also feeling a little Burny, Rosalinda <-3 HP> funnels a little health to Snake <+3 HP> via Leech Seed, Lillium <+3 HP> is blessed by Ingrain, Shindo <-10 HP> is defeated by his Curse and Lillium <-7 HP> gets a dose of that too.

    ‡ Round 6 ‡

It looks as though Cynder has regained a bit of ground, but will it be enough? Before anyone can answer that question, Robirdo enters a nosedive, plummeting hard into the ground. Derp. Meanwhile, Rosalinda hitches up her skirt in one hand and raises the other into a flaming fist before sprinting toward Alphonse. She clobbers the blue tin can with a Fire Punch. Lillium, utterly disinterested in the proceedings, merely starts sunbathing and looks a little more lush as a result. Miko then takes his turn and unleashes a series of small Shadow Balls at Rosalinda. She takes the hit; however, since that combo requires more stamina than Miko can muster, it causes him to unceremoniously flop over in defeat. Snake, who was about to hit him with an Iron Tail, shrugs and thwacks Lillium with it instead. Finally, Alphonse, huffing and puffing from fatigue, manages to act. He treats Rosalinda to a Psychic attack. He’s (waaay) too late to redirect her Fire Punch, but, y’know, it deals her some damage nonetheless. So that’s good!

    Snake's Safeguard goes kaput.

    Miko: <-6 EP; -2 HP fatigue>
    Alphonse: <-12 HP; -3 HP fatigue>
    Lillium: <-9 HP; +15 HP; -1 EP; -6 HP fatigue>

    Robirdo: <-3 HP Cfn>
    Rosalinda: <-21 HP; -6 EP>
Snake: <-4 HP fatigue; Sgd no more>

The five remaining Pokemon square off. Robirdo, who keeps a level head even though he’s still experiencing the crazies, charges Lillium down with a ferocious stab of his beak. Rosalinda gracefully wallops Alphonse with another fiery fist, which does more damage than Snake’s Natural Gift. Even with his high Special Attack, the move does almost nothing. Alphonse gets an opportunity for revenge, catching Rosalinda in the gut with another Shadow Ball, which she really does not seem to enjoy. Finally, Lillium treats herself to a Growth. It might be too late in the game for her to make the most of such a stat boost, but we’ll have to see.

    Alphonse: <-15 HP; -3 HP fatigue>
    Lillium: <-14 HP; -4 EP; +1 Att; +1 SpA; Sgd no more>

    Robirdo: <-6 EP>
    Rosalinda: <-12 HP; -6 EP>
    Snake: <-1 HP fatigue>

Poor Robirdo once again reverts to Crazy Mode, smacking himself upside the head with one of his wings. Little dude’s gonna sleep well tonight. Rosalinda, true to form, dishes out yet another Fire Punch to Alphonse who is probably never going to be able to look at a barbecue without suffering some severe PTSD. Snake hits Alphonse with another Natural Gift, doing piddly damage yet again, while the Metang strikes Rosalinda with another swirling ball of shadows. The fatigue takes its toll and causes Alphonse to faint. The sole survivor of Cynder's team, Lillium finishes the round by assaulting Rosalinda with a mass of jagged leaves. Snake shoots her a dirty look. Copycat!

And now Lillium's Safeguard goes kaput.

    Alphonse: <-3 HP; -1 HP fatigue>
    Lillium: <-6 HP fatigue>

    Robirdo: <-3 HP Cfn>
    Rosalinda: <-7 HP capped; -6 EP>
    Snake: <-1 HP fatigue>

Rosalinda <+3 HP> Ingrains back some HP, Snake <-3 HP> is almost defeated by her Burn, Rosalinda <-0 HP capped> is unable to heal Snake <+0 HP> via Leech Seed, Lillium <+3 HP> gets back some Ingrain health only to subsequently be finished off by her Curse <-10 HP>. She falls. Yes, she falls. The arena is stunned into silence for a moment and then an eruption of cheers sounds all around us.

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the match!

At long last, we're done! Congratulations to BTPoke for winning the battle and earning supreme bragging rights. Factoring in the point distribution for the first five battles as well as this one, you get 20 points. Cynder, for battling valiantly, you receive a total of 16 points. I grab 25.

All in all, this is by far the coolest battle I've experienced in my time at ASB. It led to some fun strategies and hilarious moments and now Cicero is a basically household name. Thanks to you two (as well as Em!) for participating. Sometime after Gen VI is revealed and I've forgotten how much work this all took, the four of us should give a Six Gen Three-Way a try. Unless, y'know, we all pull a Cicero and forget to do it. ;D Bwahaha!

    Welp! Oslo out!

*disappears in a puff of Cicero memes*

Whew! That was a pretty close game.

Good game, Cynder; And you as well, Em. It was a fun match, all in all xD
Thanks to you as well, Oslo, for reffing what has been such a crazy match.

Hopefully we can do this again sometime, and with that, I'm off.

Thank you. All 4 of you. You pretty much brought me here with this battle, it was amazing. I had so much fun here in this single battle alone, that I wanted to try it out, and I'm so glad I did. So, uhm, thanks again!
Avatar drawn by the wonderful Cynder in reference to this! Go check her other art out! ^-^

Aaaah it's over! You guys certainly gave me a run for my money, if only I could have pulled off that last battle I'd definitely love to give a 6 gen threeway a go, too, since this was incredibly fun! Thanks, Oslo, for making this so awesome and reffing the insanity that was the last battle! C:
