Nintendo has announced that Pokemon X and Y will hit 3DS, worldwide, on October 12, 2013.
The games include a new Fairy Pokemon type that is super effective against Dragon types. Older Pokemon like Jigglypuff, Gardevoir and Marill will be given the new Fairy type status. Eevee’s new evolution, Sylveon, will be a Fairy type. A new Pokemon called Noivem was also revealed.
Nintendo showed off “Pokemon-Amie,” a virtual pet-style feature within X and Y that allows players to form a “deeper connection” with their Pokemon. Players will be able to feed and care for Pokemon, pet them using the stylus or imitate their Pokemon’s facial expressions with the 3DS camera.
