Pokemon Drinking Game (Adults only)

Thought this up last night. Though I don't watch the anime, I know those of you who do could find this fun. Also this is for pre-Hoenn episodes.

The game is simple, here's a list of all you need:
* Lots of drink of your choice
* Friends
* Pokemon Episodes (one after the other, the more the better)

Also please be of legal drinking age in your country. I accept no responsibility from a 12 year old getting caught by their parents, out cold after downing a bottle of vodka.

The premise is simple, just take a drink every time something happens that is listed here.

Drink Once:-

Ash
- If Ash catches a pokemon
- If Ash Releases a pokemon
- Twice if He catches and releases in the same episode
- If Ash calls out a pokemon other than Pikachu
- Twice if he uses it to battle not some lame excuse like "follow that balloon" or "have some food"
- Three times if they are instrumental in winning the battle
- If someone insults Ash's trainer skill
- If Ash uses his pokedex
- If Ash gets a Gym badge
- Twice if it's first time

Misty
- If Misty talks about her bike
- If Misty screams at seeing a bug
- If Misty sends out a pokemon to battle
- Twice if it's not Psyduck
- Three times if it's Togepi

Brock
- If Brock cooks
- If Brock talks about pokemon breeding
- If Brock goes gooey eyed over a girl
- Twice if it's Nurse Joy or Officer Jenny
- If Brock sends out a pokemon to battle
- Twice if it's a Rock type

Team Rocket
- If Jessie dresses as a man
- If James dresses as a woman
- Twice if he's better looking that Jessie
- If Meowth explains what the pokemon are talking about
- If Wobuffett pops out
- If TR try battling
- Twice if they send out pokemon other than Arbok and Weezing
- Three times if Meowth battles
- If Ash and the gang don't recognise them
- Twice if Ash and the gang fall into a crudely made trap
- If they capture a pokemon
- Twice if they capture Pikachu
- If they say their motto uninterupted
- Twice if it's a different motto
- If Butch and Cassidy make an appearence
- Twice if they defeat Jessie and James
- Three times if Jessie and James defeat them
- If Giovanni calls J&J useless
- Twice if he calls them something other than useless

Other characters
- If A legendary pokemon is mentioned
- Twice if it's seen in flashback
- Three times if it makes an actual apppearence
- If Professor Oak is seen
- Twice if he's got a pokemon with him
- Three times if it's Tracey
- If Ash's mom is seen
- Twice if Mimey is with her
- Three times if it's just Mimey
- If Gary appears
- Twice if he's in his flash car

Dude, I would pass out after one show because I'd end up drinking for every item on your list. Those things happen in every episode.

Somehow I think this game is just an excuse to get really, really drunk.

Example:

*guy staggers into house*

Spouse/Mom/Roommate/Whatever: What the hell happened to you?! Did you get drunk?
Drunk Person: No, no, I was just playing a Pokemon game, that's all.

And yes, those things happen constantly. Heck, some of them happen multiple times in the same episode! This has got to be the weirdest game I've ever seen.

I'm now very thankful for two things:

1. I've vowed never to drink alcohol.
2. I'm underage anyway.

Enough said.

Things that will definitely happen.

So let's count ... one, two, three. ... 15 drinks!! :O (edit: at least)

Wow, if you were to drink according to those rules, you would probably die (or at least consume more beverages than your body weight).

This looks pretty... interesting, to say the least. Although this is more related to the Anime... jeez, please don't tell me it's so dead that people even don't realize it exists anymore :grumble:

Hopefully this'll liven things up... should be interesting.

It doesn't have to be for adults only--you can drink *anything* during a drinking game! We used to play it with soda pop!

Drink once every time you can list a scene where the background music was used before
Twice if it's a character theme for a character who is nowhere to be found (ie, Bishasu's theme music being used TWICE in the Raikou Special)

Drink once if a clip is clearly stock footage
...twice if it's already been used once that episode.
...three times per occurance if it winds up being used thrice or more.

Sorry Zak, I don't visit the anime forum, so I wouldn't have thought to post it there.

Alright, I played! Since I'm anti-drugs, I used pop instead. And now, I must reap what I have sewn, and I have to pee, badly, because I had to drink a lot.

Ooh, I've gotta buy a couple liters of soda, and try this... Oh, and what about...:

Drink once if:

- The episode centers around a kid trainer.
- Twice if their pokemon has a problem.
- Three times if the problem is fixed by Ash or Pikachu or Team Rocket.
- If Pikachu and the kid trainer's pokemon work together to blast off Team Rocket.
- Twice if Pikachu delivers the final blow in that battle.
- If Team Rocket's balloon explodes.
- If Team Rocket's balloon is popped.
- If Jessie abuses someone.
- Twice if it's someone other than James or Meowth.

Meh, that's all I got now. =)

Okay, I've got some...

Drink if:
-There is a commercial for Yu-Gi-Oh! during the show's breaks. (I only chose YGO because it is an obvious competitor with Pokemon.)
-Brock introduces himself to a girl/woman with the obvious intention of going out with her.
-Twice if that girl/woman ends up being the "friend of the day".
-Thrice if she gets the chance to reject Brock and doesn't.
-If the show centers on how humans have done something to disturb Pokemon life (like destroying a forest, catching too many, etc.).
-Twice if someone decides to rectify it at the end of the episode.
-If Ash battles another trainer.
-Twice if the battle is interrupted.
-Three times if they finish it later.
-If Ash tries to make a witty remark and fails (use your own judgement here).
-If Team Rocket's Meowth translates the speech of another Pokemon.
-If a legendary Pokemon is seen or is mentioned in any way.
-Twice if someone tries to catch that legendary Pokemon.
-Five times if that person succeeds. (But really, when has that ever happened?)
-If Ash and co. arrive in/leave/spend part or all of the episode in a town with a Gym.
-Twice if Ash battles in that Gym in this episode.
-Three times if he loses.
-If when the Pokemon theme plays, you sing along with it.
-Twice if you don't know all the words and sing something like "bah-da-da-bum, ba-da, da-dum..." in its place.
-Three times if the theme that you sing is from one of the first four seasons.

Whew! That's all I've got... for now. ;)

Lol, those seem like some fun rules. Tho', I have to admit, it seems like drinking before the show begins would help one get through it

Chug if the main female character at the time ends up in a fanservicey situation.

homeofmew
8th October 2004, 05:31 PM
wow, a lot of drinking there no?
being that Misty isn't a main character anymore, there should be
May and Max provisions.

mr_pikachu
10th October 2004, 11:51 PM
-If Max explains something about a Pokemon
-Twice if he's wrong
-Three times if he's right, but appears to be wrong at the moment (i.e. the Pelipper episode)
-If Ash has a battle in an actual arena (with the chalk lines and all)
-Twice if he loses
-Three times if it's a draw
-If we see a baby Pokemon
-If May and Max argue

-Twice if she wins
-If May uses a Pokemon other than Beautifly in a battle
-Twice if she does that in a contest
-If Max criticizes one of the other party members for their skills
-If Drew is seen
-Twice if Drew and May battle
-If there is no "friend of the day"
-If they group learns something from someone they meet
-If the group gets lost
-If the group eats a meal that they don't like (usually from someone who temporarily takes them in)
-If someone who initially seems nice to them ends up being a bad guy
-Twice if it's not Jessie, James, or one of the Pokemon with them
-Three times if that person turns a new leaf and becomes a good guy
-If you disagree with the answer to the "Trainer's Choice"

I don't even watch the anime anymore but from looking at all those rules you would arrive in the hospital with irreparable permanent liver/kidney failure before the end of the first half. I mean OMG limit yourself.

Three drinks if Misty or May is in a swimsuit despite no water being anywhere nearby.

Drink once for every Boss Fantasy.
Drink twice if the Boss isn't SD at all during it.
Drink three times if it *doesn't* start in his bedroom.
Drink TEN times if someone OTHER than Meowth has the fantasy.

mr_pikachu

Drink...

If a non-main character from a previous episode appears.
Twice if Ash and that returning character have a battle.
Thrice if the conclusion of that battle is not shown.
If May and Max get in an argument.
If Ash and May get in an argument.
If Ash and Max get in an argument.
Twice if two main characters other than the last three pairs get in an argument.
If Ash uses a Pokemon with a type disadvantage in a battle.
Twice if Ash still wins.
If there is a double battle.
Twice if it involves two trainers on the same side, with one Pokemon each.
Thrice if those two trainers are not Ash and May.

...I'll probably come up with even more before long.

Drink twice if...
- Brock gets pulled away from a lovely girl by either Misty, May or Max.

Drink three times if...
- Both May and Max pull Brock away from said girl.

Here's some post-Johto ones (I will be drinking juice if I drink). :jump:

Drink twice if Jessie or James express in any way that Meowth's "fantasy scheme of the day" is ridiculous.

Drink twice if May does one of her "Expedition" sequences.

Drink three times if she does it twice or more in one episode.

Drink once if Ash does or says something that he would never have said back in Kanto or is otherwise very mature-sounding.

Drink three times if something occurs in an episode that causes character development, be it a flashback, an event that alters the character's actions in a future episode or changes views they've long held.

Drink five times if James reveals something about his past that ISN'T only about how rich and pampered he was.

Drink three times if they use the original music in the dub.

Drink three times if they use the original voice for a Pokemon in the dub.

Drink three times if you really like the dub voice of a Pokemon.

Drink twice every time Seviper utters a "purr/bloopbloop/rasberry."

Drink three times if it doesn't yell "Seviper!" either immediately before or after uttering "bloopbloop."

And for a pre-Hoenn one (as I'm not aware of this happening yet in any Hoenn episode):

Drink five times if a TR (Jessie and James) Pokemon is seen but is not one that belongs to them. Ekans and Koffing don't count if they are seen after the original Ekans and Koffing (Jessie and James') have evolved.
