Rules are posted at the beginning of every thread and also in the rules thread. And about TMs, if you got them with the adopted or captured poke then you don't have to explain how they learned them, although it makes for interesting Dragon Tamers story material.

I've actually read all the rules topics but there are still some things I don't quite understand, like if our stories are suppose to effect one another :). It depends on whether or not they previously had an owner (in other words, if they were previously released), if they never had an owner before, then yes, you can get a free TM for them, however, if they did have a previous owner, then no, they don't get a free TM.

The free TM can be a TM, HM, or Move Tutor move from any of the games, so hope that helps.

It would also be of help to read the FAQ (http://forboards.tripod.com/FAQ.html), it's got all the information you need.

The Skarmory on the list has already been adopted, but Thorne_Darkrose gets a level 5 Skarmory due to the promotion.

We need to get things running smoothly again, so I'm going to replace the old promotion by a more permanent one: every newcommer to the game can get a level 5 pokemon of his/her choice*. And of course, everyone can still get the pokemon on the list.

*That is, non-legendary, not evolved** and not Dratini.
**Pokemon that have a baby form but may still be born in their 1st evolution stage are allowed (this means you can still get Pikachu, Marill, Mantine, Snorlax, etc.).

Hm. So I know what all of the pokemon I had were, thanks to having mentioned them all in my RBG that has been since chronicled on the Dragon Tamers site, but I don't remember their levels and TMs/egg moves. :-\ The only level I know is that Winter, my white Houndour, is level 6, and I'm sure I can figure out her TM or egg move from the battle, but other than that, there's a bit of a problem.

The Ledyba's yours! Since she's your starter, she begins at level 5. Will you give her a name?

The bred-on move and the TMs are indeed from any generation.

As for levelling moves, we go by Gen 2 for all moves available in GSC. For other moves, we use whichever generation the pokemon learns the move first. I hope that's clear. If it's not, you can check the FAQ (http://forboards.tripod.com/FAQ.html) and ask for more details about anything that still isn't clear.

If one appears in Gen III, I only look at RSE moves
And if one move appears in Gen IV, I only look at DPPt moves.

When you acquire a Pokemon that is at or above level 10, you can give it one free TM/HM/Move Tutor move (which can be any move available as a TM/HM/Move Tutor in the generation(s) the Pokemon is found in).

In fact, each time a Pokemon reaches a level that is a multiple of 10, you can give it one free TM/HM/Move Tutor move.

Alright. Coming back to this, I've known that I need to fix my team up. I still only halfway know who I do and do not have. I still have problems figuring out who is who and what I'm doing with all of them. While sorting my team, I feel that I have some Pokemon who, though they were amazing for me in the past, aren't the best match for me now. *pays 20 stamps* I'll be releasing Taima my Pikachu, Kamaria my Poochyena, Sige my Trapinch, and Drystan my Bagon into the wild. Just so you know -

A Pokemon can have more than four moves, so don't worry about having to replace them.

And Oinksalot will know whatever moves it knows at that level in the games, plus whatever moves you just gave it.

There's a couple of ways you can train your Pokemon.

One, you can take them to the Dragon Tamers Battle Range and write stories for them (you might want to read some of the stories to get an idea of how they're usually written).

Two, you can battle with them at the PokeZoo Battle Tower against other trainers.
