Lost Cave

In Fr/Lg, off of one of the islands, six I think, I'm not sure, is a cave called Lost Cave. When you go down the ladder, you see a hiker and he battles you, and he says the exits around you don't work, they keep putting you in the same room. If you talk to him again after the battle he'll say it might have something to do with the number of rocks. What do you do here? I'm really confused...

count the number of rocks, (3,6,9,or 12) and then go through the cooresponding cave position- think of the cave as the face of a clock. there are a couple of items to get, and pokemon- but that's the gist of it.

In Emerald, there's the same cave, called the Altering Cave (http://www.serebii.net/emerald/altering.shtml) .

You just run around, and suddenly, you'll find a Lax Incense. I think that's all in it, or no?

Altering cave is a different cave, and is also present in FRLG, not just Emerald
