Considering the lack of good polls now and days, I decided to do one pretty much on Disorders.

1. Do you have any disorders, professionally or self-diagnosed? (including personality, eating, etc.)
2. Do you know anybody with a mental disorder like autism? (excluding Bjarni)
3. Do you want to get rid of your disorders any way possible? How would you?
4. Have you ever contemplated suicide?
5. Have your disorders, if any, ever held you back from anything?
6. Any time when these disorders broke out when they weren't wanted?

Random:
7. Do you think your life will be at least somewhat okay?

1. I have a list of those I have had diagnosed (all except first two were self-diagnosed), so I'll post it here:
~Depression (severe)
~Paranoid (severe)
~Schizoid
~Schizotypal (minor)
~Antisocial
~Borderline (Borderline doesn't include self-mutilation as a symptom, mind you)
~Avoidant

That's as far as I know

2. My second cousin, once removed is autistic, and his grandmother doesn't want to believe it. My mom and grandmother think he might be because of his fath....I mean uncle.

3. Sometimes I try to imagine a happy life without the disorders, but I know they'll stick with me forever. Not sure how I would try to get rid of them.

4. Only once, but I haven't since my parents forced me to overdose Zoloft once. That made me a bit insecure.

5. A bunch of times, not sure where to start.

6. Same as above

Random:
7. I hope. It'll be fine as long as I'm a bit satisfied.

1. I'm bipolar (not severly), as well as dyslexic.
2. My uncle has cerebral palsy.
3. If I did, I wouldn't know how to cope. I have to write differently than normal people (it's a self correction mechanism for being dyslexic), and I read a lot faster than normal due to my reading style.
4. Nope, it's inefficient.
5. They've tried, but I'm stronger than any of my demons.
6. Not really, ^

Random:
7. I hope so. I'm hoping to go to college, double major in Physics/Chemistry and get my PhD in phramaceutical chemistry.

1. Do you have any disorders, professionally or self-diagnosed? (including personality, eating, etc.)

I have an advanced case of B.G.L.S., or; Bad Guy Liking Syndrome. I got it from watching The Matrix and The Man with the Golden Gun in quick succession. So yeah, blame it on Hugo Weaving and Christopher Lee. >.< Basically, I tend to go for the bad dudes more than the good dudes when I'm watching movies, but not so much with books. Dunno why this is. Anyway, other than that I don't have anything that could be called a "disorder".

2. Do you know anybody with a mental disorder like autism? (excluding Bjarni)

My dad is chronically stupid. But I don't think that counts.

3. Do you want to get rid of your disorders any way possible? How would you?

Not really, B.G.L.S. doesn't effect my everyday life, although it explains my incurable Sesshoumaru/Naraku fetish. o.O;;

4. Have you ever contemplated suicide?

.... .... ..... ..... ...no.

5. Have your disorders, if any, ever held you back from anything?

From being happy for the good guys when they kill the bad guys... especially in The Matrix movies... I was soooooo happy when Agent Smith came back! :D

6. Any time when these disorders broke out when they weren't wanted?

Nyah, ha, ha.

Random:
7. Do you think your life will be at least somewhat okay?

It has an awfully good chance. Yup.

1. Yeah. I have a slight case of Asbergers Syndrome (a form of Autism) and Dyspraxia. I had been diagnosed with Autism for a while, but it was only 5 years ago that I was diagnosed in more detail. Because of my mental disorders, I'm a bit shy and my hand-to-eye coordination is a bit rubbish (couldn't play Tennis if my life depended on it lol). I'm coping to live with it anyway. Don't have any real difficulties when it comes to learning. Most of the time, people don't seem to notice or care.

2. I have a few friends and cousins who are dyslexic. I also know a few people with Cerebal Palsy. I get on with them well. No reason why I shouldn't.

3. Sometimes, I wish I didn't have mental disorders. However, I also feel I'd have turned out different (in a bad way) if I didn't have them. So no, I wouldn't want to be any different.

4. No with a capital N. There'd be no point, anyway (in my opinion).

5. Being able to socialise a bit more freely, perhaps. But then, there are people without Asbergers who are shy, so I'm not sure. I'm a bit more confident today than I was in the past, though.

6. Nope.

7. I hope so. I'm studying for the BTEC National Diploma in I.T. and one day I want to be in the gaming industry.

1. I haven't got anything diagnosed(don't want to go get it done), but I'm very sure I've got some personality disorders, and I think I've got some form of depression as well.

2. I have, but I don't know anyone at the moment.

3. I would like to get rid of them. With them it's harder for me to make friends.

4. I have, but I've never tried to do anything. Just thought about it and in the end decided I was too afraid of death.

5. Yes, but I don't have any specific examples.

6. No. I control them for the most part.

7. Hopefully.

4. I contemplated it once for 5 seconds and said "**** it, if anyone is stupid enough to do that i'm glad theyre dead"

5. N/a

6. ^

7. My life is going to be just fine, especially if America and China wipe eachother out.

1. Do you have any disorders, professionally or self-diagnosed? (including personality, eating, etc.)
. Just random self-diagnosed eating disorders :D

2. Do you know anybody with a mental disorder like autism? (excluding Bjarni)
. No.

3. Do you want to get rid of your disorders any way possible? How would you?
. Not right now, as I like my disorders. We are like the best of friends <3

4. Have you ever contemplated suicide?
. Yes, but I was young, and I was just crying out for attention. I don't believe in "contemplating" suicide though, if you're going to kill yourself, you don't sit there and go "Should I kill myself? Oh I don't know, I'm suppose to hang out with Joe tomorrow~~~~"

5. Have your disorders, if any, ever held you back from anything?
. Nope! If anything, they've helped me in life. :D

6. Any time when these disorders broke out when they weren't wanted?
. Nope.

Random:
7. Do you think your life will be at least somewhat okay?
. Uh... NEVER!! XD Just because you have some sort of disorder doesn't mean your life will not be okay O_o;;

1. Do you have any disorders, professionally or self-diagnosed? (including personality, eating, etc.)
Yes, I've got a severe case of paranoia, a severe case of schizoid, and a minor case of anorexia. I'm hoping it'll get better soon but to be honest I have no idea what's going on right now.

2. Do you know anybody with a mental disorder like autism? (excluding Bjarni)
The family that used to live next door to us had a child who was autistic, but other than that, I don't think there's anybody that I know who has any sort of disorder.

3. Do you want to get rid of your disorders any way possible? How would you?
Well of course I do. Right now I'm just going to therapists and just trying to express myself in whatever ways I can; doing arty stuff and playing the piano and whatnot really takes things off my mind, and it also helps me let myself go. Since it's difficult for me to be expressive it's hard to do that and I'm hoping that by doing it at whatever chance I get it'll help me.

4. Have you ever contemplated suicide?
Yeah, but only in the past few months. And I've only got a couple of cuts on each arm; I haven't got any on my wrists or anything. I've not actually tried to kill myself, I've just harmed myself.

5. Have your disorders, if any, ever held you back from anything?
Countless times. Too many times to remember, and if I ever do try to remember, it hurts my head.

6. Any time when these disorders broke out when they weren't wanted?
I was diagnosed with paranoia and schizoid in February or something but it wasn't serious. In August it got severe, and that was when I was diagnosed with mild anorexia. They just got worse in the next few months, which were the ones that lead up to my birthday. I'm not too bothered about that though.

7. Do you think your life will be at least somewhat okay?
I'm hoping that the disorders and everything will be sorted out in the nearest-that-is-possible future (if you know what I mean). So at some point I hope I'll get better. I've been a bit of an outcast before this but I've never been pessimistic through it; I've always been at least a little bit optimistic all my life, even when things have been really really bad.

1. I have really low iron problems. Im on 5 tablets a day and have to have injections every few months to boost it back up.

3. Im doing all I can to help my problem.

4. Yes

5. Well they stopped me going away skiing this year, but that wasnt so bad as I didnt want to go really (long story)

I used to be anaemic myself. I remember to having to take Iron in liquid form. Not surprisingly, it tasted terrible...like blood... Anyway, I got over that and now my blood clots properly. I'm guessing it won't be long before your blood has enough Iron. Well, I hope so anyway.

1. Disorders... I don't think so. Maybe a slight case of the obsessive-compulsiveness here and there mingled with the odd touch of depression in the past and an imagination that's prolly a touch more active than is healthy... meh, I'm sure someone with enough qualifications could diagnose millions of minor disorders from what I'd call minor quirks, tho. Eccentricity and a refusal to change that is what I mainly suffer from tho. ^^;;
2. No
3. Life in general took away the 'depression' part by actually being rather nice to me and letting me meet someone who made me feel good about myself. The rest... no, I don't actually want rtid of them, the odd character traits are what makes me me!
4. In a 'it would be so easy to do this, wouldn't it?' way. I never actually wanted to kill myself, I was just very conscious of the fact that it wouldn't have taken much effort on my part to do so.
5. My depression managed to get me kicked out of uni! Oh yeah, people, if you recognise you have a problem... FFS GET HELP, PREFERRABLY FROM SOMEONE WHOSE OPINION COUNTS OTHERWISE IT'S GONNA SCREW YOU IN THE LONG TERM. Cuz I screwed up badly at uni due to me only starting to get my act together in the month before the exams. If I'd just sought help it would have prolly been possible to at the very least make a decent case for me retaking the year.
6. Anything that you'd consider a 'disorder' will break out when its not wanted on account of you never really wanting it. Next question.
7. As long as I have Soo, my imagination and a plentiful supply of CDs/ mp3s then yeah, I'd think it'll all work out fine. ;)

1. Do you have any disorders, professionally or self-diagnosed? (including personality, eating, etc.)
~ADHD (minor, self-diagnosed)
~Paranoid (moderate, self-diagnosed)
~Bipolar (minor, self-diagnosed)
~Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (moderate, self-diagnosed)

2. Do you know anybody with a mental disorder like autism? (excluding Bjarni)
~My friend, Mary, is Bipolar, along with one of my cousins and one step cousin, my friend Tony's mom has OCD, and I know lots of people with ADD/ADHD so they won't count :P

3. Do you want to get rid of your disorders any way possible? How would you?
~I want to get rid of the paranoia and ADHD, but I can deal with the other two. I suppose I could get tested and then get medicine for ADHD, though they probably wouldn't give me anything because it is minor, but I'd rather get abducted by aliens so they can fix it with lasers or something.

4. Have you ever contemplated suicide?
~Nope, too much to live for, even though life sucks, plus I have a phobia of pain.

5. Have your disorders, if any, ever held you back from anything?
~Not that I know of.

6. Any time when these disorders broke out when they weren't wanted?
~Well, the paranoia is always around when I don't want it, making me worry when I shouldn't, making me think I'm being watched, the ADHD is just enough to make it hard to concentrate and for me to be hyper for no reason, but not enough to really hurt my grades or anything.
