Question about Eevee evolution on FR

Espeon and Umbreon are one of my fav's and i'm currently training an eevee in Fire Red. I know he evolves by friendship but how can you tell what he evolves into since day and night were thrown out the window? Thanks

Eevee will not evolve by happiness in Fire Red. No one will evolve by happiness until you get the National Dex, but Eevee won't even then. Eevee needs to be in a place where time passes properlyin order to evolve into Espeon or Umbreon. So, you'll have to trade your Eevee over to a Ruby or Sapphire game in order to evolve it into Espeon or Umbreon. I'm told (though I haven't personally verified) that the boundary times in R/S are noon and midnight...Eevee will evolve one way during A.M. and the other way during P.M.
