What's the percent chance of capturing a pokemon with a hold item? Such as wild Pikachu with Light Ball and wild Cubone/Marowak with Thick Club? Thanks.

It varies. Numel have a 100% chance of a RAWST berry. Pikachu have only a tiny chance of a Light Ball (1%??). Search around the sites for a table.

I must be very lucky then even though I have no Shiny Pokemon. When I encountered my first Pikachu in the Safari Zone I threw one Safari Ball and caught it. I checked its Status Screen to find it also had a Light Ball attached and I think it had a Timid or neutral Nature. I also think most Pokemon have a 10% of holding items like an Abra with a Twistedspoon for example.

Very lucky Andy. Took me about 30-50 Pikachu encounters (which meant a few hundred actual encounters) to get one. I did pick up a female Pikachu with really good IVs out of it all though :)

All I know is this:

RS:
Coloured Shards:5% (Chinchou, Corsola, Relicanth and Clampearl)
Metal Coats:5% Magnemite
Heart Scale:50% Luvdisc

FrLg:
Magnet:5% Magnemite
Lucky Egg:5% Chansey
Tinymushroom:50% Paras
Big Mushroom:5% Paras
Sharp Beak:5% Doduo

All I know off the top of my head.

There's more for FR/LG, I think:

Wild Dragonair: Dragon Fang
Wild Machoke: Focus Band
Wild Graveler or Onix: Hard Stone
Wild Chansey: Lucky Egg
Wild Arbok: Poison Barb
Wild Fearow: Sharp Beak
Wild Venomoth: Silverpowder
Wild Sandslash: Soft Sand
Wild Haunter: Spell Tag
Wild Cubone/Marowak: Thick Club, of course
Wild Abra/Kadabra: Twisted spoon

I believe all of them have a 5% chance to be holding those items. So far I've only gotten a Lucky Egg from a Chansey. It helps me level up better than exp.share... but the move-booster items are too rare compared to their actual use in battle, so forget it. (Except for Thick Club and Focus Band)
