Personalities, or character traits? There is a bit of a difference...

I'll try personalities...

Pikachu - friendly, loyal, somewhat cautious, outgoing but introverted at once.
Totodile - hyperactive, always on the move.
Cyndaquil - shy, but powerful and eager to stand up to those who would hurt those it cared about.
Chikorita - flirtatious, headstrong
Noctowl - curious...um, what else?
And I dunno what else...

tauros - buff as a f*ck and proud of it
bulbasaur - loyal and strong. caring of other wild pokemon
charizard - too cocky for his own good
sqirtle - helpfull in a situation where there's danger present, such as a fire
heracross - likes sap waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. has a thing for bulbasaur imho
snorlax - 2 words: lazy and gluttony. how can u fail?
kingler - no one knows
phanphy - too young to tell

Charizard-Arrogant, likes to make toast, headstrong, respective.
Primeape-Respective, tough, tempermental.
Totodile-Energetic, funny.
Cyndaquil-Shy, will go for its goal.
Bayleaf-Dense, Loving, snobbish.
Muk-Muckish, huggish, useful.
Main (Alpha??) Tauros-Strong, likes Ash.

All, to varying extents: Stubborn (the main characteristic that they've picked up from Ash). Like Oak says Pokemon often take on traits of the people who train them.

All, to varying extents: Loyal/obedient/love Ash.

Pikachu: Intensely loyal, obedient, extremely loving toward Ash, would do anything to protect him, friendly toward other Pokemon, protective toward youngsters and other Pokemon in trouble or being harrassed, stubborn, has a paranoid fear of being inside Poke Balls, subject to becoming infatuated with kitchen objects such as ketchup, loves sweet food like apples, has a very diplomatic outlook on life, normally very mild mannered but when pressed to a breaking point there are few more aggressive Pokemon (just look how wild it goes at the begining of AG).

Butterfree: Views Ash with deep respect and unquestioning obediance, gained from an act of selfless courage it saw Ash do to protect it from Beedrills. Friendly toward others, likes the color pink:D , doesn't have much of a temper.

Bulbasaur: Tempermental, stubborn to an extreme, has a tough-guy attitude and rarely backs down from any challenge. Untrusting of most humans and slow to develop trust in others, but once one gains it's trust and friendship there are few Pokemon more protective and dependable. Fears advancing to its latter evolutions, for reasons that are uncertain. Despite type differences the Pokemon it is closest to is probably Ash's Squirtle, Squirtle's good-natured toughness complementing it's own personality. Prefers to avoid meaningless conflict but has very little patience toward Pokemon who don't respect it. Is quite powerful but knows how to rely on it high level of experience and skill to win.

Squirtle: Loves to have fun but also has a keen sense of duty. Also has a short temper and rather crazy sense of humor ("Maybe he was eaten by wild Pokemon! Mwahahah!) Also has a selfless attitude toward helping its friends and doing what needs to be done, even if it means leaving others it cares about.

Charizard: Extremely spirited, prideful, stubborn, vicious and perseverent. Never gives up even at the costs of its own health. Has an overly cocky attitude that sometimes causes it to misjudge it's opponent's strength. It is very difficult to gain it's respect and trust but once this has been done it will go anywhere and do anything to help it's master. It is also surrpisngly affectionate toward Ash once he gains it's respect, forgoing it's usual serious and tough attitude and acting sweet and puppylike at times when greeting him. Has a great dream of becoming as powerful as it can possibly be, Ash being about the only thing in the world it cares more about than that.
