While trying to be a bit leniant on keeping SOME things that would qualify as "polls" in Misc, this isn't one of them. Moving to PCG/adding tag.

As for me, I have a few, not sure how much percent of each:

Mostly Israeli and American, with some Romanian, Hungarian, and I think Albanian and Bulgarian. Also I think my mom has some Russian connections, but there's like no resemblance left. My grandfather is a geneology major, so I could probably trace back...

I'm Half Italian and Half Canadian. Italian on my dad's side and Canadian on my mom's side. I think it's French Canadian. My Italian side comes out more than my other side. Nationality is American.

Yep. My family has deep roots here. Deeper than most people in Buenos Aires - people with Argentinean grandparents aren't too easy to find here.

-_- Jewish is not a nationality.

Toxicity
8th November 2004, 04:06 PM
Nationality: American
Heritage (I'm not going to guess on the fractional part, but I'll list from the majority down):
Irish ("Dark" Irish appearance-wise)
Scottish
American Indian (Choctaw)
Ukrainian (my great-grandmother of this end and her family was of the Jewish faith, so I don't know if I should mention "Yiddish")
Polish
Welsh
Aruban Dutch (Dutch from the island colony of Aruba)

However, the only ones that seem to show are Irish, American Indian, and Ukrainian.

Easy to figure out.. my mom's entire family has lived in england since before the 1600's or so (we've only traced it back that far), and on my dad's side, my grandma was born in Germany, while my greatgrandparents from my grandpa's side came over to the US on a boat from Holland.

Heh, Kelly, it's Scottish, not Scotch. If you actually said you were Scotch to people who lived in Scotland (like me) they would laugh at you (like I did, but I wasn't making ffun of you or anything). Scotch is like a type of whiskey/whisky (I don't know how to spell it, because the Irish and the Scottish appear to spell it differently!).

Nationality: Scottish. I've been born and raised here.
Heritage: English/Welsh/Scottish. My Mum's a mixture of English and Scottish, and my Dad's a mixture of English and Welsh. We've also traced my Mum's side of the family tree back to the 1700's and we've not been out of Britain, so...

At school people don't believe me when I say I'm Scottish. My point of view on it, though, is that since I was born 20 miles away from where I currently live, and I have only lived in two places (here and a town which is less than a mile away - it is, in effect, attached to the one I live in) then I can't really get a lot more Scottish since my parents are from elsewhere (except my Mum, her grandmother was from Scotland).

So depending on who you ask I am either Scottish, English, or Welsh. I'd consider myself Scottish. But people at school debate about that (admittedly most of them don't really know what they're on about though).
