IV's how can I check them?

I've seen a couple of threads talking about IV's and I want to know how I can check them the best, and I've seen some spreatsheets but I cant work them out, so preverably a step by step tutorial would be heaven xD (cause I'm dutch and dont always understand complicated explainations)

btw, other point, I dont have exell anymore to view spreatsheets..

Just search the Intenet for a Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire IV Calculator. I know Chris (Meowth) has a good one but we can't post links.
