It didn't upload, apparently. It was probably too large. Save it as JPEG instead or upload it as an attachment here.

Jeff
10th January 2005, 12:09 PM
it should've told you after it uploaded it.

Nah, all I got was a page that was essentially blank (it had the title and everything but that's it). Perhaps the file was too big, how big can the uploaded files be? (mine's 658K)

Chris
10th January 2005, 12:37 PM
The maximum allowed file size is 100KB.

Way too big. ;) Use attachments instead.

Jeff
10th January 2005, 12:53 PM
Oops, didn't see that. Attachments have the same limit so I can't do that either.

Oh well it's basically the silver style with the crystal.jpg background that comes with WinXP. Goes nicely with my blue and silver laptop.

Edit: duh save it as as JPEG. I'm so used to saving everything as PNG.

Don't know why I didn't see your other post before, Chris.

Anyway here it is.

Edit 2: maybe I should get rid of those Civ games they're my brothers' and I don't ever play them. I don't know why they think they can install stuff on my computer...

Meh, I have 98se which is not very customizable... Just imagine a black wallpaper with some icons.

Whenever I get my new computer, I'm plan on customizing it with the following stuff:
Wallpaper (http://www.deviantart.com/view/5503707/)
Avlon Longhorn v2 Visual Style (http://www.deviantart.com/view/13056692/) or Longhorn Inspirat Visual Style (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/7631106/) or a white version of Opus OS which I lost the link to...
Spirit skin for Winamp (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/10310941/)
and a dock positioned wherever I fancy it.

Dcc? Im confused?

Yeah, great reply.

1. dcc
Direct Client Connection, a protocol used on IRC to send files between users, create private chats, and make a whiteboard for shared drawing. The DCC handshake is sent through the server (with CTCP), but the file/chat/whiteboard session takes place over a direct connection between the clients--hence the name.

Can also be used as a verb, meaning to send a file using DCC.
"Hey man, DCC me that video of Fred Durst eating his own shit."

Yes, I'm on OS 9. I'd be using X, but my computer is too slow. I'm using a Beige G3 desktop, 233Mhz, so X doesn't really work that well.

I just make due with what I have.

Here's the link to the post: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707

Then download a Visual Style from a site like http://browse.deviantart.com/skins/windows/visualstyle/

Then unzip it into your C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes folder.
Right-click on your desktop and click Properties then Appearance and then choose your theme.

As for the Mac looking dock, get it at http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/
and find yourself a good wallpaper that goes well with your theme. ;)

Plus what is that xp theme everyone seems to have now adays seriously I must have.

OMFG I haven't even changed my desktop yet. It proper needs changing. It's still at it's default. But that's cause it looks cool and I'm still waiting for me and the band to get together for a pic for the background. Plus I so far haven't even thought about shortcuts until now.
