Wow... first thread here, nice warning. I'm sure a few other forums could use it. Anyway...

I was gonna post this in PCG, but seeing as the desktop thread is here, why not.

So... what do you all have as your screensavers?

I just have the one that displays random images from my HD.

I have no screensaver at all.

I disabled it.

My screensaver is the power button. Or, since my board fried on my upstairs computer, it's the fact that there's no information going to the monitor.

This thread has thrown up a number of exciting new screensavers, yes? 8)

I don't use one. They became obsolete when screen burn stopped being a problem. Just turn off your monitor, at least that'll save some electricity in the process too. ;)

Mines is just the basic starry one... I'm not sure what it's called. *finds out* Starfield. It's one of the basic Windows screensavers, how exciting! It's basically just a simulation (well, not really, but I couldn't think of any other word) of travelling through space with the stars flying past. Granted, it's not very good, and it looks rubbish on my screen (it's really rather pixellated) but still, I don't mind it. It's not as if I've found anything better. If I had, I'd have changed it ages ago.

Well, after about 10 minutes of inactivity my screen goes into stand by mode and essentially turns off. You get it back by moving the mouse and it turns back on... without actually being off.

Its weird.

My screensaver used to be Flying Windows for years. But nowadays I have it deactivated altogether, so when I don't touch my PC for a while the monitor will turn itself off and that's it.
