The town was completely empty. There were houses, and lights could be seen from the windows. But nobody was out in the streets. I tried peeking in from the window. There was someone there, but he was together with 'it'. I looked in the other houses. There were all together with 'it'. Because it is fun to be with 'it'. It's more fun to be with people. So nobody comes out now. This town is empty. I am going on a journey. I am going to go to another town. I think it would be nice for someone to find me.
But if the one that is meant for me, should one day happen to fall in love with me, and only me, that will be the day I will have to part with the one that is for me and only me. Still, I want to meet the one that is for me and only me. That is what I think, as I walk through The Town With No People.

Film Editor
JOB DESCRIPTION
Tension mounts. The film is nearly over. The hero is being chased down a street. We hear a shot and see him fall. Cut to a hand with a smoking gun. Cut to the shocked hero’s face as he looks up. Cut to the hand again as the camera pans up to reveal…the hero’s best friend. It was HIM all along!
In the creation of a film, actors perform the story, cinematographers capture it on film, and directors oversee the whole process. It’s the film editor’s job to take all of the film that has been shot and effectively cut it together, choosing the best scenes to tell the story. They work on films, TV shows, animated films, commercials, and music videos.
Most of us are so familiar with the seamless way editors cut together film, whether in movies or on the news, we take it for granted. However, editors can change the way a story is told just by moving shots around or cutting out scenes.
Film scenes are not shot in the order we finally see them in. The final scene may be the first one that is shot. The same scene may be shot several times and from several different angles. Working with the director, the film editor chooses the most effective shot, and combines it with other scenes to form a logical and smooth-running story.
When choosing shots, editors look for technical things like lighting and sound, as well as performances by the actors. Consistency is also important. If one scene involves an actor looking at his watch, the editor should check that he is wearing it in every shot. When filming a comedy, an editor needs to watch for timing. Is there enough time for the audience to laugh and recover from a scene so that they don’t miss the joke in the next scene?
Editors may work with the footage on editing machines or computers, depending on the project and the editor’s preferences. Although editing machines and computers work in different ways, their function is the same. They enable editors to look at the raw footage and move back and forth through the film. In this way, editors choose shots and then mark frames where a shot is to begin or end.
If they are using an editing machine, assistant editors usually have the job of joining separate strips of film together on a splicer. Assistant editors have other roles, as well. These include maintaining schedules and arranging screenings for directors and producers. They also supervise apprentices and provide general support to the editor.
In the television industry, almost all the work is done on videotape, not film. This involves using specially designed equipment that lets the editor look at the raw footage and choose shots on one TV monitor, press some buttons to mark the shots, then look at the final edit on another screen.
NOC Code: 5131
WORKING CONDITIONS
Film editors work for film production companies, television stations, and video production companies. Editors who work on movies are often chosen before the cast members. Hollywood executives know that a good editor can make an okay movie look terrific, or at least improve a bad one.
When they aren’t working at the editing machine, film editors may spend large parts of their days in intensive discussions and meetings with other crew members. They work with a variety of people, including directors, producers, technicians, and production assistants.
Film editors must also work with music and sound editors. For example, if the director wants to use a particular piece of music for a scene, the film editor must work with the music and sound editors to ensure that the scene and the soundtrack are the same length.
The hours can be long, 40 to 60 a week, and editors may spend a lot of time on their own. They work in cutting rooms, projection rooms, and on shooting stages. Editors often work under a great deal of pressure created by deadlines and high production costs. If production is behind schedule, producers often allot less time for editing, but expect no less polished a finished product.
The profession is unionized and there are guidelines for location work, overtime, and benefits.
EARNINGS
Some editors work as staff with production companies, but many work on a freelance basis. This means they sign a contract for a couple of months’ work on a particular project and then move on to the next. In these situations, their wages are quite high, but the downside is that they may only work for a few months a year. Editors in the television industry are more likely to be hired full-time for the run of a show, and draw an annual salary.
Minimum wage rates are set out for each province by its local chapter of the Directors Guild of Canada. Rates are based on the type of project and the position the editor holds.
At the bottom of the ladder are trainee assistant editors, whose minimums range from $480 to $760 a week (or $120 to $190 a day) depending on the province and the size of the production. Those who have climbed the ladder to the top position of supervising picture editors earn minimums ranging from $1,560 to $3,100 weekly (or $390 to $775 daily). Editors working on theatrical motion pictures, made-for-television movies, and mini-series tend to have higher minimums than those working in episodic television.
It is important to remember that these are minimum rates, and that editors may be able to use their skills and experience to negotiate higher salaries with film companies. Also, non-union members may make less than these rates when working for employers not bound by union contracts. Overtime pay is at a higher rate—generally time-and-a-half, or double-time.
Overall yearly incomes for experienced film editors can range from $30,000 to over $100,000, depending on their experience, the industry they’re working in, and their ability to consistently find work. Some editors may sign long-term contracts with production houses. These are usually re-negotiated every 3 years.
EDUCATION
Education & Training
A combination of post-secondary education and practical experience is the best preparation to become a film editor. The industry is very competitive and a college diploma or bachelor’s degree with courses in filmmaking is highly recommended. Formal training at a film school can also be quite valuable. A bachelor’s degree in journalism that offers practical courses in editing is useful for those interested in television editing.
A few universities even offer master’s degrees in the area of film production. They can give you an edge on those who just have a bachelor’s degree and may also offer the opportunity to work as an intern with a media company.
After school, most editors work in low-paying assistant jobs for several years to gain valuable experience. During this time they continue to refine their skills and expand their knowledge of as many editing systems (such as Avid and Final Cut Pro) as possible. They also take this time to make connections, build reputations, and create demo reels.
A demo reel is the editor’s portfolio. It is a collection of samples of his or her work that is designed to demonstrate his or her craftsmanship to prospective employers. A good demo reel is often the key to consistently finding work.

Other Suggested Qualifications
Overall, employers are more impressed by a general understanding and flair for the editing process than a specific qualification. Watch lots of different types of movies and programs. Pay attention to the way they are put together and see if you can come up with better ideas for how the shots could have been edited together.
You should be creative, a good communicator, and have a good sense of story telling. Good vision is essential. You should also be patient, focussed, and able to work as part of a team as well as on your own.

THE USED LYRICS
"Let It Bleed"
This poison's my intoxication
I broke the needle off in my skin
picked the scabs and picked the bleeding
and assumed that it was all in vain
A positive scab that's never healing
Calloused hit me in the face
A burning bridge that's so misleading
Poison's more potent now with the flame
Let it bleed
Take the red for what it's worth woah
Watch the fire
Fill your lungs with smoke for the last time
If you feel like dying you might wanna sing
The fire department couldn't drown the city
They didn't even try to wash it clean
And what did you think that I was sober?
Put me out cause I'm on f***ing fire
A positive scab that's never healing
Regret that I kept this clean
The most that I can do for you is keep on lying
It's not a lie if you can let it sing
Let it bleed
Take the red for what it's worth woah
Watch the fire
Fill your lungs with smoke for the last time
If you feel like dying you might wanna sing!
Ohoh you might wanna sing
Ahaha you might wanna sing
Hahah you might wanna sing
Hahahaha sing!
You might wanna sing!
You might wanna sing!
You might wanna sing or scream at...
This poison's my intoxication
I broke the needle off in my skin
Picked the scabs and picked the bleeding
yeah assumed that it was all in vain
Let it bleed
Take the red for what it's worth, woah
Watch the fire
Mamma fill your lungs with smoke for the last time
If you feel like dying
If you feel like dying
If you feel like dying, You might wanna sing
Hahaha You might wanna sing
Haha You might wanna sing
Ha you might wanna sing or scream at...

No one told me it was going to rain today,
I turn my face down from the sky,
Something broke inside my heart today,
Christmas presents on the day she died.
Crippled dreams are never mentioned,
Broken things that never heal,
Mother said for me to give it time,
Tonight I cannot help but cry,
February twenty-nine.
Chorus
In a world of dying children,
Rain never seems to cease,
I will hope for things unseen now,
One day my heart will be at peace.
I said I loved her and she knew it,
Whispered softly to the sky tonight,
She is warm and safe in Heaven,
In the loving arms of Jesus Christ.
There is a place that we call heaven,
A place where children never cry,
where you are never cold or hungry,
a place where you cannot go blind.
I turn my face up to the sky now,
I wipe the tears from my eyes,
Thank you God se lives forever,
February twenty-nine.

Um, you passed the baton to me, so I suppose I must fill it out.
01). Total volume of music files on my computer?
Volume? What does that mean? Well, my folder labeled "music" contains 2.80 GB (3,011,553,329 bytes)
02). The last CD I bought was...
"La Nuit de Pollen" - Mami Chan
03a). The last song I listened to before writing this was...
UNDO by CoolJoke. My entire playlist consists of anime MP3s, J-Pop, and random foreign stuff. XD
03b). Song playing right now:
"Cosmic Night Run" - Maki Nomiya and Crazy Ken Band
04). Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me.
None of them "mean a lot to me," but whatever, off the top of my head:
1) "Katakana Dub" - Juicy Panic
2) "Dessicated Embryos" - Erik Satie
3) "Pathological Strawberry" - BY ME!!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!! {I'll post a link in my journal when I upload it}
4) "They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha-Haa!" - Napoleon XIV
5) "Otarie" - Juicy Panic

See a gang of niggers playing basketball
My inner rage is out of control
Double barrel shot gun, blast in the knees
Throw the ape bodies in the back of the truck
I call over my friends for a night of torture
Drag the motherfuckers down to the basement
Sound of Churning Bones
Grinded Nigger
Primitive screams of pain
Grinded Nigger
Comical torture, such a delight
Stench of deadness consumes my house
Cram a hand into the sausage grinder
Beat his skull with a claw hammer
Leroy begs for mercy as I laugh
I kick out his fucking front teeth
Break a bottle across his head and begin to stab
Crimson splattered sludge
Fresh nigger meat to serve to my dog
A missing person’s report look in my dog’s stomach
There you will find the missing nigger

Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle,
Don't grumble, give a whistle!
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...
...always look on the bright side of life!
*whistle*
Always look on the bright side of life!
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten!
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing,
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps!
Just purse your lips and whistle -- that's the thing!
And... always look on the bright side of life...

Is it possible to justify the great pains we took in our implementation? No. We ran four novel experiments: (1) we asked (and answered) what would happen if extremely distributed superblocks were used instead of checksums; (2) we measured tape drive speed as a function of RAM speed on an Apple Newton; (3) we measured RAM speed as a function of hard disk speed on a Nintendo Gameboy; and (4) we dogfooded GUIAC on our own desktop machines, paying particular attention to tape drive throughput. We discarded the results of some earlier experiments, notably when we dogfooded GUIAC on our own desktop machines, paying particular attention to effective ROM space.

ROUND 4!
Arena: Antarctic ocean as far as the eye can see. Icebergs are scattered everywhere.
Track: Ozone - Numa Numa Yei
Orders!
Duke/Kingdra (M): Whirlpool ~ Agility + Toxic
Violet/Blastoise (F): Confusion ~ Protect ~ Blizzard
LET'S START!
Ma-ia-hii
Ma-ia-huu

~From the onset, Duke the Male Kingdra jumps into the frigid water, and begins swimming at a extremely rapid pace. As an aquatic cyclone begins to form, however, Violet releases psychokneitic energy towards the Water/Dragon hybrid, attacking his mind. The blow is not only sucessful in inflicting damage, but also in disorienting Duke's rationality. Duke, however, still in the process in the Whirlpool attack, ends up swimming much faster than needed, causing the entire region to be swallowed up in the vicious torrent thanks to Kingdra's great strength.
After a good minute, Duke finally stops, with large blocks of ice reduced to scraps due to his power, but it also left him somewhat tired, as well as extremely dizzy and disoriented.
Nevertheless, Duke continues on with his next command. As its mouth cavity fills up with toxins, the sea dragon travels at mach speeds towards Violet, and begins to give her a taste of her own medicine. At that time, however, Violet cleverly pulls up a protective dome around her monster...
...only to fall to waste, as Duke's confusion kicked in once more, causing him to veer off course and slam head-first into an ice block. It does slight damage due to the impact, but was reduced significant due to the dragon's strength. He also ended up releasing the toxins deep into the sea, where the great ocean pressure diluted them.
Violet became horribly pissed (and fading) as her Protect shield was of no use, as she already used it already before.
Violet, in her exausted state, still managed to conjure a powerful storm from the North Wind towards Duke's direction. After using up all three of his attacks, he was helplessly pelted by incoming ice shards, dealing good damage. Furthermore, he also took damage from the toxins within. Now, Duke too was on the verge of collapsing.~
Fin Round 4
Drake (O)
Duke/Kingdra(M)
Health: 8% (Fading)
Stamina: 20%
Status: Toxic'd (20% damage next round)
VS
Brian (O)
Violet/Blastoise(F)
Health: 60%
Stamina: 3% (Fading)
Status: OK!
Arena: Antarctic ocean as far as the eye can see. Ice blocks are few in number now, as most have been reduced to ice particles due to Duke's Whirlpool.

I dislike :
-Rap
-Death Metal
-Pretty pop princesses. (Sorry Christina, you're a whore)
-OMG PUNK RAWK posers. (Good Charlotte)
-Techno which causes a headache. (Ug... where to BEGIN)
-Wierd Al. (High school.)
-Annoying sounds (JEnny Lopez's "Get Right" with that ANNOYING what.. sax? I have to listen to that at work ARGH)
-R&B
-Anyone under 20 singing about true love or waiting their entire life.
-Manufactured bands. (N*Synch)
-People who suck live but have good albums (Avril, I'm looking at your first Album. Admittedly good.)
-Annoying pretty boys (Jessie McCartney)
- People with AWFUL pronunciation (Missy Higgins)
-... I can't think of any more.
I'm sure I can think of something else. Later.
I agree completely. Except on the Avril thing. The only thing good about her music is her guitarist. It's a shame he's wasting his talent in a crappy pop-punk/emo/whatthefeckever band lead by someone who has absolutely no punk growl in her voice whatsoever.
