Okay my dad has brought his scanner home from work. It is a canon LIDE 30 and I need to know where I can find software for using it. You no what I mean so I can actually scan the picture then look at them on the PC when I plug it into the USB port. That type of software. I need it for scanning precious fan art.

I can't figure out which one to click on. I tried one I thought would be right but it wasn't.

You'll probably want "ScanGear CS (7.0.3.0)" and/or the "canoscan toolbox 4.1.3.1." That's just a guess though.

Right I installed the toolbox thing as the ScanGear CS (7.0.3.0) didn';t work (that was the very first one I tied. I have to reset my computer before the program will work though. I'll tell you if it works later. Thanks though.

Which OS are you using? Windows XP/2000 and most Linux distributions should be able to interface fine with that scanner...
