I thought of this idea myself but Gabi helped organise it so you can battle some of the Pokemon who haven't been adopted yet. You will be renting one Pokemon and battling with it so you can perhaps earn a prize at the end of the Battle Tournament. They will gain Levels from their battles so they have a better chance of being adopted in the future. We also created this so you can join in a Battle Tournament because the AC/CC Subforum hasn't had one in awhile if ever.

Rules
1. Rental Pokemon are the unadopted Level 7-10 Pokemon from Dragon Tamer's Adoption Centre.
2. You are allowed to choose one Pokemon to rent for the whole Battle Tournament.
3. It works as a first come first serve service for choosing your rental Pokemon.
4. Rental Pokemon will have the moves upto their Level and an extra TM to take part.
5. You'll battle each other and earn one point for a win or zero points for a loss.
6. Trainers have a choice of switching off super effective attacks before a battle.
7. Rental Pokemon will only gain Levels at the end of the Battle Tournament.
8. All the battles will use the standard Pokezoo Battle Tower reffing format.

Is there a better way involving random numbers? I just thought if everyone battles everyone we have an overall winner. The only problem being there's a lot of battles to get through.

We could make 3 groups of 3 where everyone battles everyone (that makes 9 matches so far) and then have the groups battle each other, having a person from each group battle one from each of the other groups (9 more battles). That's not all-on-all but I think it's still quite fair, and it halves the amount of required battles.

To sort this out should we each ref a battle from different groups? Also the Pokemon will gain all their Levels at the end of the Battle Tournament so no one has an advantage that way.

Why has Jeff already beaten you? Shonta can ref another battle in a different group while you can battle against her, which, btw, you need to send attacks

I'm sorry to say this Gabi but that's your own fault. You knew there was a ghost type there so if you wanted a chance to win you should have put a special move on there just in case, so you'd at least have a chance to hit the ghost type if you were up against it. I guess that match would just count as a win to Jeff without needing a ref? Seems a shame but I can't really see another way it would be fair. I think Jeff will do well in this!

btw, does anyone mind me taking over the tournament? Andy was last spotted on the 2nd but hasn't posted since July 24th and in this forum since the forums came back. The main prize structure is already concrete but for the other participants, I have everything else planned out in my mind. Plus, there's someone who wants to adopt a Pokemon in this tournament so we should make it quick

If that's ok with everyone, I'm giving Kerel and Dark Mewtwo till Friday to PM/IM me and say they're still in the tournament. If not, it's only fair for Karin to advance, since she's the only one active in the group

I'm just saying that if Karin wins the battle, then this will cause a tie among group three. Jeff and Darkfire are advancing from their groups with two wins each and with each person from group three with one win apiece, I'm not sure how a tie breaker will be managed to determine who will move forward
