OK this is being a complete bitch and I need help. RealPlayer wasn't even loading up so I re-installed it (basically I thought it wasn't even installed in the first place). I then accidentally (because it was the default settings) made it the default player for everything, which I don't want). And to make things worse, it still wont open. I wanted to uninstall it but then it said uninstaller component missing. So I couldn't uninstall it and couldn't find out how to change the default players back to what they were so I went to program files and being stupid as I am deleted the real player folder. Now everything is messed up. Help please how can I get around this problem.

You could try something like Tuneup Utilities 2004 (http://www.tune-up.com/download/tu2004/) (yeah last year but it still works for me) to try to remove the rest of the RealPlayer crap.

Then you can go and try Real Alternative (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Real_Alternative.htm) which is bundled with Media Player Classic. I've been using it for a long time now and it works fine with me. Now you can play Real files (who uses them anymore anyway) and not have Real take over your computer. If you like the alternative, you can also try Quicktime Alternative (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/QuickTime_Alternative.htm), too. :cool2:

OK then.

Certain AVI files wont work on my players. Any idea on this?

They might use a codec that you don't have installed. Check out GSpot (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/GSpot.htm) to see what codecs your AVI files require to run.
