can someone tell me the difference between a latop and a notebook
which is cheaper, which is smaller, and which is better for school use and some media *minimal*
media use :)

They are the same thing :P

Notebook computer is just a more formal name for laptop.

Well, it used to be that laptops were the heavier luggables, and notebooks were lighter portables, but it seems that distinction isn't really made anymore.
