Apple didn't patent the iPod until after it started producing them, therefore allowing Microsoft an opportunity to potentially get loads of royalty money.

So now Nintendo holds the patent for that concept from Eternal Darkness. Well, it's not like it's illegal - the "insanity effects" are fairly new intellectual property - but still.

Holy shit, I thought I was the only guy who immediately knew what game that was.

But yeah, good move by Nintendo. Those Insanity effects in ED really made the game.
