Hmmm... i choose Talut my male Dragonite and Aiko my femal delcatty. Let's play defensively this round the best we can with a little offensew mixed in. Talut start with safeguard. Next use icy wind towards both opponents if possible otherwise target lickitung and finish with haze. Aiko start wirth safequard. Next use double team and finish with shock wave on lickitung if haze was successful otherwise ude fake tears on whoever is closest.

Talut: Safeguard ~ Icy wind (both if possible otherwise kickitung) ~ Haze
Aiko: Safeguard ~ Double Team ~ shock wave (lickitung)/Fake tears

Claydol, strike Talut with an ice beam to start. Then relax. Finally use rapid spin to clear up the haze.

Lickitung, strike Talut with a blizzard. Use earthquake to destroy the DT clones and then relax.

Claydol: Ice Beam (Talut) -- Relax -- Rapid Spin
Lickitung: Blizzard (Talut) -- Earthquake -- Relax

* Pre-Battle *

As one of the first battles to take place in this new tournament, both combatants are psyched for battle. Both experienced battlers, Chris 2.0 and Wolfsong take up places at arena two of the TML Stadium. As a double battle, both trainers must send out two pokemon each. Chris2.0 calls out a genderless Claydol and a female Lickitung for this exciting battle. Wolfsong brings out Talut a male Dragonite and Aiko a female Delcatty.

* Round One Begins *

Talut and Aiko are quick off the bat, allowing a shimmering silver light to pass over their bodies, flushing contaminants from the air around them and providing a pure shield against infection. Just in time, as a beam of concentrated frost energy slams into Talut's chest, directed at him from the stone body of Claydol. In a similar fashion, Talut comes under duress from a freezing wind of condensed chunks of ice and snow, a Blizzard from Lickitung's general direction.

Not feeling any effects of the ice, the mighty Dragonite gathers around him the chill in the air and blows it right back at both his attackers, leaving them chilled to the bone and feeling the real effects of the attack. While they try to shake off the shivers, Aiko seems to surround them with as three beautiful Delcatty roam the arena. While Claydol spins idly by the pink oaf that is Licktung begins the bang the ground with it's massive tongue sending ripples of energy throughout the arena. It knocks out both of Aiko's clones, and ruins her team mates relax time. Talut on the other hand flaps his wings and floats above ground as the earthquake beneath him comes to an end.

As the great orange beast lands, he breaths a heavy white cloud that starts to cover the entire arena. Lost in the haze Licktung and Claydol look around for their opponents, when a ray of lightning shoots itself across the floor, wrapping one end around Lickitung's foot and then enveloping her in a burst of electrical energy. Angered by the attack, Claydol begins to spin, faster and faster, pulling cloud in and blowing it up into the air. The amount of haze created isn't enough for Claydol to remove all in one go however.

Claydol, harden your body against attacks. Blast Talut with an ice beam and smash Aiko with an ancient power.

Harden -- Ice Beam (Talut) -- Ancient Power (Aiko)

Lickitung, hit Talut with two shockwaves. Finish with brick break on Aiko

Shock wave x2 (Talut) -- Brick break (Aiko)

Wolfsong
4th October 2005, 04:39 PM
Aiko, Start by swaggering claydol so hopefully it will be distracted from hardening. Next, lets give him a taste of its own medicine. Follow that up with ice beam to claydol. Finally use a wide ranged icy wind to hit both opponents and chill them even more.

Talut, let's even the score a bit. Wait till aiko distracts Claydol, then use blizzard on it. Next use a shock wave of your own and target lickitung with it. Finally finish with a focus punch to lickitung.

Aiko: Swagger (Claydol) ~ Ice Beam (Claydol) ~ Icy Wind (both)

Talut: Wait till Aiko distracts Claydol and then use blizzard (Claydol) ~ Shock Wave (Lickitung) ~ Focus Punch (Lickitung)

* Round Two Begins *

Lickitung begins by sending a small electrical jolt across the floor. It staggers randomly, but heads straight for Talut, wrapping itself around his foot and delivering a sharp and sudden jolt of energy to the dragon pokemon. Readying itself to toughen up, Claydol is distracted as Aiko swaggers past, swinging her tail, she glances back over her shoulder and laughs pitifully at the spinning pokemon. Enraged, Claydol ignores his orders to spit an insult at the feline. Shaking off the electricity, Talut turns his own attentions to Claydol, and sends a massive gust of frozen wind at the pokemon, leaving it with a thin layer of frost all over it's rocky exterior.

Claydol spins around to focus one eye on the orange pokemon, before sending a solid beam of ice energy right back at him. Electricity flies everywhere as both Aiko and Talut target Lickitung, and the oversized tongue returns the favour sending some right back at the dragon.

Now, as Claydol and Lickitung both turn to face Aiko, her team mate takes the break to focus himself. His Delcatty companion further chills her enemies with another icy wind, leaving Claydol with a heavy frost layer and slowed by it's weight. He still manages to pull off an attack, sending a solid thump of rock energy at the pokemon. Lickitung is left sluggish from the cold too, but before he can lay his attacks on Aiko, Talut slams a fist into the pokemon, sending it flying through the air and crashing into a barrier.

Sorrry it took a while to post.

Nice work you two. Talut, start with an extremespeed body slam combo to lickitung before she knows what hit her. Finally finish with a twister to lickitung. Aiko use one last icy wind to Cladol. Then, I want you to use shock wave on lickitung and finish with a wide ranged blizzard to both opponents.

Talut: Extremespeed-Body slam combo (lickitung) ~ Twister to lickitung
Aiko: Icy Wind (Claydol) ~ Shock wave (lickitung) ~ Blizzard (both)

Lickitung counter the combo then dig a small trench to save yourself from the twister. Then use a thunderbolt on Talut.

Claydol psychic on Aiko, slam her into the ground! Use focus punch on Aiko next and then protect against the blizzard.

Lickitung: Counter -- Dig -- Thunderbolt (Talut)

Claydol: Psychic (Slam motion - Aiko) -- Focus Punch (Aiko) -- Protect

* Round Three Begins *

Head reeling from the last round, Lickitung staggers as she tries to walk. The massive bulk of her attacker Talut moves towards her with an extreme speed, threatening to slam his entire body into her own quite wide frame. The Dragonite makes contact and the pink pokemon is crushed beneath the incredible weight. Using the force of the attack as a means of retaliation, Lickitung puts all her strength into throwing Talut off her. The dragonite flies up into the air and crashes back down beside Aiko, who is sending a chilly and icy wind at Claydol. The ground type, currently still frosty and badly enduring the cold manages to close it's body off from the cold and concentrate it's mind on the Delcatty. Aiko suddenly finds herself lifting off the floor, only to be slammed back down into it with a powerful force.

As the grip disappears, Aiko turns her attentions to the frantically digging form of Lickitung. As the massive pokemon gradually digs itself a trench, Aiko sends a sharp jolt of electrical energy her way, leaving the pokemon shocked and buzzed from the attack. Talut, having recovered from his countered attack, begins to flap his wings, summoning a twister over the freshly dug trench. While it does avoid Lickitung for the most part, the pokemon can't avoid being pelted by the lumps of dirt it picks up from her own mining escapades. Claydol spins up close to Aiko and focuses, ready to attack. Aiko at the last second to see.. Claydol looking confused. It doesn't know what it's meant to be doing.

Taking advantage of it's sudden confusion, Aiko leaps backwards and summons a massive and freezing wind, that pelts Claydol and Lickitung with chunks of ice and snow. Regaining it's senses, Claydol quickly erects a force field, protecting it against the rest of the attack. Lickitung is less fortunate, as despite being in a trench, it's not enough to escape the freezing chill of the blizzard. As the wind dies down, Lickitung peers out of the ditch and sends a massive electrical bolt back at Aiko. As the energy passes through her into the ground, she feels the protective shield of the safeguard fade from around her.

Urgh.

Okay Lickitung. Resurface from the ground as quickly as possible. Then use thunderbolt at Dragonite x2.

Claydol protect from any icy attacks. Aim a Telebeam* at Aiko and finish with an ice beam at Dragonite. Aim for the back/wings/shoulderblade area.

*Telebeam involves Claydol teleporting behind the foe unexpectedly and then using a solarbeam to the back.

Lickitung: Resurface (dig) -- Thunderbolt x2 (Dragonite)
Claydol: Telebeam (Aiko) -- Ice beam (Dragonite) Protect against ice attacks

All right, I think that I have a plan now.

Talut, i want you to use brick break on lickitung right as she is coming out of her hole. Then if its possible, I want you to get behind her and wrap your arms around her and then use your strength to hold her in place in front of you so that she takes the hit from the ice beam instead of you. If that isn't possible, then use double team followed by another brick break on lickitung.

Aiko, watch claydol carefully. The moment it teleports out of your sight, use faint attack. Then i want you to wait until it fires its beam to reappear. Then i want you to use Water pulse on claydol. Finish with hyperbeam on lickitung if she's still got health. If she is ko'ed, then use another water pulse on claydol.

Talut: Brick Break (Lickitung) ~ Wrap (lickitung from behind) then strength to hold her in place in front of you) Substitutions: is wrap strength combo won't work, then Double team ~ Brick Break (Lickitung)

Aiko: Faint Attack (Claydol) ~ Water Pulse (Claydol) ~ Hyper Beam (Lickitung)/Water Pulse (Claydol)

* Round Four Begins *

As Lickitung tries to quickly clamber out of the hole, it gives Talut the chance to get up close. Using tongue and tail as leverage, the pink pokemon gets up, only to get smacked once, twice, three times but the heavy fists of the Dragonite before her. Knocked backwards, she can only groan and watch her team mate battling nearby. Absorbing the sunlight causes Claydol to warm up, melting the frost and giving back some of the speed it needs. As it begins to glow, it vanishes, as does Aiko. Reapearing where last the feline was seen, Claydol blasts a beam of solar energy out, disgruntled by the fact it's target is missing. Instead, Aiko reappears and lashes out with dark energy beside the clay pokemon. Claydol turns slightly, redirecting the end of the beam, managing to strike Aiko with the last dregs of the beam.

Aiko growls and jumps up, after being pushed a fair distance away from Claydol. The angry feline takes a long breath before sending a massive jet of water at the ground type. Claydol, too tired from using two attacks at once, has no chance to evade or defend and takes the full brunt of the water attack. Lickitung on the other hand struggles to her feet and sends bolts of electricity at Talut, who stops for a moment to endure the attack. Not bad for a dragon, but still not great. When the attack comes to an end, the mighty Dragonite grabs hold of Lickitung and holds the pokemon firmly between it's arms, wrapping them around the shoulders and arms of the Tongue pokemon.

Though still weak, Lickitung isn't out for the count yet, but it looks like it's in danger of being hit by friendly fire. Talut tightens his grip, and as Claydol sends a beam of ice energy at the Dragon, the orange skinned leviathan turns and uses Claydol's own team-mate as a shield. Claydol instantly stops the attack, but it's too late and Lickitung takes the attack. In it's weakened state, it's too much, and it collapses in Talut's arms. Wolfsong orders the Dragonite to release the pokemon gently and it is recalled, leaving Claydol alone, and taking the brunt of yet another water attack.

Just curious but how is it that Talut still has the same amount of health at the end of the round that he did at the beginning?

Anyways thanks for reffing, i appreciate it. Sorry it took so long for me to reply, got bombarded with school work this week.

All right talut, start with haze. Next use double team and finish with an extremespeed if your're still going and can see claydol otherwise jsut use Aerial Ace.

Aiko, start with double team then for as long as you have clones take a break. Should you run out of clones just use double team again unless the haze is gone and you can see your opponent then just simply use water pulse.

Talut: Haze ~ Double Team ~ Extremespeed/Aerial Ace.
Aiko: Double Team ~ Take a break/Double Team/Water Pulse ~ Take a break/Double Team/Water Pulse

Come back, Lickitung. That was a spectacular first match.

Claydol we're not done yet. Use your own double team first - that's crucial. Harden against uncoming attacks and finish with a strong blizzard at Talut: hopefully we can eradicate the clones and deal some damage.

* Round Five Begins *

The final round of this tournament battle begins, and Chris 2.0 is one pokemon down facing Wolfsong's dynamic duo. Still, not one to go down without a fight, he's ready to continue on with high hopes. As Talut breaths a low lying cloud of haze around the arena, both Claydol and Aiko glitters with light. Their unified flashes of light reveal a trio of both pokemon, waiting to attack. With so many pokemon around, things look confusing, but because of the haze, every shadow looks the same, and attacking is just guess work.

Aiko settles down, relying on the Haze and her clones to protect her from attack. She yawns, and scratches behind her ear calmly, relaxing and taking the time to rest. Talut on the other hand, follows suit, and duplicates himself, leaving three massive Dragonite's on the field. Claydol can just make out six shadow Dragonite legs, moving through the mist, and fearing an incoming attack, hardens his outer skin until it's strong enough to repel anything.

The Claydol turns and looks for the larger tell tale shadows of his Dragonite foe. Sure that it's spotted them, the ground type summons a freezing wind. The wind sends the haze blowing every which way, causing Aiko to sit up, but not take an attacking stance yet, as her clones sit by and watch along with her. talut turns into the wind, as chunks of ice and snow begins to batter him. He raises his arms in defence, and as the clones copy him, they shatter one by one, leaving Talut to take the full brunt of the attack. When it finally ends, the Dragon takes a moment to regain his sences, before charging the pokemon with an extreme speed that leaves the Clydol spinning from the attack.
