well assuming that your using the roms i have some codes for vba for the legendaires. I'm using the cart but i also have the rom.

anyway these also came of the gamefaqs board from jasmine wayne wayne.

This code places a pokemon in the 1st Slot of the 1st Box in the PC, so, leave that slot empty, enter a code, switch to box 2 then back to box 1 again and the pokemon should be in that slot. Move the pokemon elsewhere if you want to add another one in that slot.

Note: Keep in mind that this pokemon has my OT Name and ID Number, but that doesn't really effect too much. I've also left the pokes untrained and are at the base level they are found, so do whatever you wish with them.

To use these codes, copy all the lines and paste them into the VBA-Cheats-Cheat List menu. Remember to choose the Code Option and NOT Gameshark or Codebreaker.

I've found that after you enter the Reji codes, you can duplicate the Rejis ( and possibly items). Enter one of the Reji codes above, then go to the third option at Bill's comp, where you can move the pokes around. Pick up the Reji, look at its stats, press up or down, then put it down. There should be two now. I have yet to see if this will work with items. Possibly useful.

Well, so far playing around I *Think* I managed to locate the names controls in those codes, and *MAY* be halfway to locating the trainer ID controls (I know where it's stocked, but it must be linked to some other info as it keeps crashing if you alter it)

Well, it's nothing all that big, but here's how to change the name of the original trainer. Not sure yet on the trainer ID - I think I know where that information is, but changing that piece of info alone causes the egg to appear, so I'm guessing there's another piece of information to change.

Anyway, the information for the trainer name is found in the values at

0202FDD4
and
0202FDD8

For example, in codes with the name "Filb" you have the following values for those :

0202FDD4:D6E0DDC0
0202FDD8:0000FFFF

In this case.

C0 (last set of two values of the first line) = F
DD (next to last) = i
E0 = l
D6 = b

Since it's only a 4-symbols name, the last two "slots" are empty - FF. If the name had "au" as the last two letters, the last two FF would be replaced by the "A" value, and the first two FF would be replaced by the "U" value.

I don't fully know that letter = what value at the moment. However it's possible to make some educated guesses

D6 (214) = small b
E0 (224) = small l
DD (221) = small i

Thus I can pretty much say without much chances of being wrong that

D5 = small a
ee = small z

From there it should be easy to figure the rest.

As for capitals, they starts with BB=A, so the rest should be easy to figure.

For Hiragana, they seem to go as follow :

01 = A
02 = I
03 = U
04 = E
05 = O
06 = KA
0B = SA
10 = TA
15 = NA
1A = HA
1F = MA
24 = YA
27 = RA
2C = WA
2D = WO
2E = N
34 = Small ya (used for Rya and the like)
35 = small yu (used for ryu and the like)
36 = small yo (usedd for - you guessed - ryo and the like)

50 = small "tsu" (for doubled consonnant)

As for the katakana, they would logically follow the very same pattern.

51 is A in Katakana, 56 is Ka. From there you can figure the rest.

Sorry to the original code makers, but I figured if I managed to find something like that, I may as well tell everyone.

Edit : found more! Value 0202FDC8 control the nickname of the pokemon.

No, it's not.

Here's my newer breakthrough (not much of one, but it works, and it's MY code) :

change the name of the pokemon in the first slot of box 1 to whatever you want it to be. Refer to my above explanation as to how to know which letters you want.

Remember, that like with teh character name, you spell it backward : ie, if you want to name a pokemon AIUE, you'd enter :

Where 01 = A
02 = I
03 = U
04 = E

Edit : Similarly, you can change the Original Trainer name of any pokemon in the first slot of your first box :

Again, it goes in reverse order - the last two ? of the "0202FDD4" line control the first letter, the first two ? of that line control the 4th letter, the last two ? of the "0202FDD8" line control the 5th letter, and the first two of that line control the 6th and final letter.

I desparately need a cheat for getting a TM. I lost my TM43 by accidentaly teaching it to Numagorou - and then I saved the game by mistake... I watned to keep it in my inventory! I hope there's a code to get items just like that... I really want my TM43 back... :(

That's because it isn't a gameshark code. it's a vba code. go to the cheats menu then go to cheat list then go to code. paste the code there.

thankz a lot for the codes... lets see.... to you have anything for espeon and the other eevee evolutions... that would be great... o n for whoever wants to know i noticed that wen u put a code for a pokemon it doesnt appear in the pokedex.... but if u get a first evolution (achamo for example) Wakashamo will be shown if you evolve achamo and bashmo will appear in the pokedex if you evolve wakashamo... i wish i could say the same for the old pokémon but i dont see them in the pokedex... o well just giving you some useful information...:D

You cant get a maxed out shiny pokemon!?
because whether the pokemon is shiny or not is determined by DVs.. And maxed out DVs dont get you shiny.

And yeah I've noticed that they dont appear in the pokedex cause you are OBTAINING them not catching.. and people are working on the wild pokemon modifier code.

and Geofree I'm trying to find that but till now there's no luck at all. :(

because whether the pokemon is shiny or not is determined by DVs.. And maxed out DVs dont get you shiny.

That's because things have changed drastically since GSC. I made a topic about some of the changes, especially DV's and all. I believe you can now get a max stat shiny, since shininess now depends on the gender value, an all new stat that didn't exist in GSC. At least I'm fairly certain this is how it works now.

As for anyone who is getting an egg, the first slot of your first box must be empty. If there is a pokemon there, the code will change it into an egg. If it's empty, you'll get your pokemon.

A lot of thanks to the people at gamefaqs/cmgsccc(or whatever it is) for figuring out these codes, and of course thanks to the people who have the strenous task of copying and pasting them here. How difficult it must be :D

If we can hack the game when it's a rom, won't we be able to do the same thing with gameshark when it comes out in the US? I remember people saying you can't because of the new complexity of stats, etc. But it's being done quite easily, even if the codes are longer..

NONE of the item or max stat codes work. Either that, or there is something that needs to be said. I'm putting a warning up now:

DO NOT POST A CODE WITH XXXX UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED, IN THAT POST, TO EXPLAIN WHAT THE NUMBERS ARE

Scratch the first line. It's the pokemons code(i.e Mudkip is 11b, so 030042E8:011b would be Mudkips max HP.)

I have a list that gives Gameshark codes for each and every pokemon of the 386. The will be found on Route 116 and will be level 6. I was sent the list as a txt file and have been using it to finish up my 'dex myself. The codes are all 1 line long. You still need pokeballs because these will be righteous catches. For the ones that are in the R/S 'dex (1-199) the entry will come up after you catch it. For all others, the entry comes up but I have yet to look at any above 199 while in the 'dex itself.

If you want the file, pm me or email me at BlackWolf@djis.net. I can put it in a zip file and send it to you. I take no credit for the work. Yet I would like to share if I can.

I also have copied the "Infinite Money" code from a previous post into the file so it will also contain that. I thank whoever found that for posting it. Very handy. And if I can find it again, I will include a code for the Master Balls that I saw here in the file as well.

I saw the posts on page 3 of this thread. I had copied them into my file I offered to send via email in my last post. Yet I have since gone back and tried the codes and have yet to get any of them to work. (Only "Money" and "Ball Modifier") The codes are either not long enough, too long, or just don't do anything yet that I've noticed. I'm curious as well how those codes are supposed to work. If anyone can help, please do. I said I would have the codes in my file I sent to anyone who wanted it, yet I do not want to give non-working codes.

Go to www.gamefaqs.com and type in Pokemon Ruby And Sapphire Gameshark Codes in the Search Box. It should show up Best Matches at the top of the screen. Click Pokemon Ruby, b/c there are only Gameshark Codes available for that game at the time. It then takes u to the Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire Screen. Click Gamespot Gamespace at the very bottom(under the first Gamespace Gamespot). It takes u to gamespace.com and click Masterlords GBA Advance Gameshark Codes. And the best part is that there's MORE than just catching Pokemon! You can do Masterballs, Rare Candies, and MUCH MUCH MORE!!!

Enjoy the Gameshark Codes when you find them! Reply as soon as what you think of them!:D

i caught every single Pokémonn using the codes i posted, and every code that is in the site i posted actually works, such as having Infinite Masterballs and Rare Candies, Proteins, etc. You can even find island called Illusion Island in there too, and its JAM-PACKED with Wynauts! They range from levels 10-50! and there is a Porok that i found there that u can't find anywhere else! i caught ALL the Legendaries and ALL the Starters and everything else! I DEFINITELY recommend that everyone take the same route i took in finding these excellent codes! And these codes do work for the VBA emulator but it works only Ruby i think.

It really works! I just tried it last night! I must warn you, though, that it'll turn any Pokémon you encounter into a female. So I'm trying to avoid any Trainer fights possible because it may effect all that happens. Any Pokémon that's all male may appear no longer unless you uncheck the code.

But the pro in the issue is that if it turns all the Pokémon female...I may be able to find Latias easier since the world's been overtaken by females! Girls rule! Mwahahahaha!

I have tried a lot of these codes, and nothing seems to happen to me....I enter the codes under 'Code' or under 'GameShark' depending on what the person posting the codes has said, but NOTHING seems to happen....

Back in the GS days I heard there were codes that could do things like make Scizor learn Megahorn. So out of curiosity (and also to save time by not breeding for a legal move) are there codes that allow a Pokemon to learn any move? And I'm not talking about the ones that allow them to learn any TM/HM move. i.e codes like ones that could teach a Pokemon the hidden elemental Hyper Beams (Blast Burn, Frenzy Plant, Hydro Cannon).

inter act come up wath codes like that AKA Pokemon Fan
so it will be some time :( :( but Action Replay may come up
with some ;o

i hared that inter act had tak out the thing that lit you hak codes
say it is not so:( :( :(

Can someone give me a code for Ruby so I can go to Latios and Latias, I don't want to use a Pokemon Wild Modifier, only the special ticket.
And maybe someone can give me the code for the national dex.
